Lebenshilfe
Südliche Weinstraße
Qualität und Nachhaltigkeit in sozialer Verantwortung!
In den zurückliegenden zwei Jahrzehnten hat sich max4car zu einem führenden Hersteller für Au-
tomobilzubehör auf dem europäischen Markt entwickelt. Hinter dieser Erfolgsmarke steht die Süd-
pfalzwerkstatt, eine Einrichtung der Lebenshilfe Südliche Weinstraße. Mehr als 830 Menschen mit
Behinderung zeigen in 5 Werken an 3 Standorten, dass sie nicht nur wertvolle Mitglieder unserer
Gesellschaft sind, sondern auch einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Wertschöpfung leisten.
Menschen mit Behinderung und ihre Angehörigen auf ihrem individuellen Weg über alle Lebens-
phasen hinweg und in allen Lebensbereichen zu begleiten und zu unterstützen, hat sich die
Lebenshilfe Südliche Weinstraße zur Aufgabe gemacht. Das Prinzip „Teilhabe statt Ausgrenzung“
wird in allen ihren Einrichtungen Tag für Tag beispielhaft vorgelebt. In der Südpfalzwerkstatt erhal-
ten Menschen vielfältige Möglichkeiten, einer sinnstiftenden Tätigkeit nachzugehen und sich ihren
persönlichen Stärken entsprechend weiterzuentwickeln.
Die Anfänge von max4car reichen bis in die 1980er Jahre zurück. Damals montierten und verpack-
ten 50 Mitarbeiter in der Südpfalzwerkstatt Scheibenreiniger im Auftrag eines inhabergeführen Au-
tomobilzulieferers. Als jenes Unternehmen 2002 die Produktion einstellte, schlüpften die Südpfäl-
zer in die Unternehmerrolle um die Arbeitsplätze für die Menschen mit Behinderung zu erhalten.
Seither ist der Kundenstamm im In- und Ausland auf ein Vielfaches gewachsen. Gegen den Preis-
druck aus Südostasien behauptet sich max4car mit Qualitätssiegeln und der ausschließlichen Ver-
wendung von Materialien, die den europäischen Umwelt- und Gesundheitsvorschriften entspre-
chen. Außerdem punktet das Unternehmen
durch seine regionale Nähe, durch Termin-
treue und eine komplette Auftragsabwicklung
von der Beratung bis zum Versand.
Innovative Produkte mit Design- und Patent-
schutz wie der Premium Scheibenreiniger
oder das aktuelle Projekt - der Eisschaber
Ice-Breaker - wurden in Zusammenarbeit
mit Experten in den zurückliegenden Jahren
entwickelt und erfolgreich am Markt platziert.
Auch mit Blick auf die Mitarbeiterentwicklung
zeigt sich ein nachhaltiger Erfolg: Die Zahl
der Menschen mit Behinderung, die im Be-
reich max4car einen Arbeitsplatz gefunden
haben, hat sich seit 2002 verdoppelt.

Over the past two decades, max4car has
developed into a leading manufacturer of
car accessories on the European market.
Behind this successful brand is the Süd-
pfalzwerkstatt (South Palatinate Workshop),
an institution administered by the charitable
organisation Lebenshilfe Südliche Weinstra-
ße. At five workshops in three different loca-
tions, more than 830 people with disabilities
demonstrate that they are not only valuable
members of our society but also make an
important contribution to the economy.
Lebenshilfe Südliche Weinstraße is dedicated to assisting and supporting people with disa-
bilities and their loved ones throughout every stage and area of their lives. At all of its institu-
tions, the principle of “participation instead of exclusion” is the exemplary lived reality each
and every day. At the Südpfalzwerkstatt, people are offered a host of opportunities to enga-
ge in meaningful work and develop themselves in accordance with their personal strengths.
The beginnings of max4car date back to the 1980s. Back then, 50 employees at the Süd-
pfalzwerkstatt assembled and packaged windscreen washers for an owner-mana-
ged supplier to the automotive industry. When this company ceased production in 2002,
the locals took it over in order to preserve the workplaces for people with disabilities.
Since then, the customer base in Germany
and abroad has grown considerably. max-
4car sees off its cheap South-Asian competi-
tors with quality seals and the exclusive use
of materials that meet European environmen-
tal and health regulations. The company also
impresses with its close regional ties, its ad-
herence to deadlines and comprehensive or-
der processing, from consultation to shipment.
Innovative products with design and patent
protection, such as the Premium windscreen
washer or the current project – the ICE-Breaker
ice scraper – were developed in collaboration
with experts in recent years and successfully
brought to market.
The company is also sustainably successful in
terms of employee development: the number of
people with disabilities who have found a job
with max4car has doubled since 2002.

Werk Offenbach 3
Fertigungsstandort mit Lager und Logistikfläche
Seit März 2018 ermöglichen in Werk Offenbach 3 weitere 9.000 qm Lager-, Fertigungs- und
soziale Gemeinschaftsfläche noch schnellere und effektivere Fertigungsabläufe. Logistikflä-
chen die direkt angebunden sind an ein modernes Lager mit Warehouse-Management-System.
Große Arbeits- und Kommissionierräume ermöglichen eine effektive industrielle Serienfertigung.
Auch im neuen Werk 3 ist ein modernes, automatisch verfahrbares Regalsystem im Einsatz. In
Summe ist es uns möglich über 12.000 Europaletten in Regalsystemen einzulagern. Durch Überla-
debrücken zur rationellen Be- und Entladung von Gliederzügen, Aufliegern, Megalinern und Über-
seecontainern sind wir bestens aufgestellt für einen hohen Warenumschlag.
Plant Offenbach 3 - production site with warehouse and logistics area
As of March 2018, the new Offenbach 3 plant has provided an additional 9.000 square metres of
warehouse, production and community space, making production processes even faster and more
efficient. The logistics areas are directly connected to an ultra-modern warehouse, equipped with
a Warehouse Management System. Expansive work and picking areas ensure effective, industria-
lised series production.
In addition, our new Plant 3 boasts a state-of-the-art, automatic mobile shelving system – enabling
us to store well over 12.000 Euro pallets. With dock levellers for the efficient loading and unloading
of articulated trains, trailers, mega-liners and overseas shipping containers, we are ideally positi-
oned for rapid goods handling.
