Generelle Informationen zum Angebot
− Alle Laptopmodelle sind gemäss den Anforderungen der teilnehmenden FH / PH konfiguriert, ab Lager erhältlich
und können ab Montag, 16. August 2021 online bestellt werden. Alle Bestellungen, welche bis und mit Sonntag,
5. September 2021 getätigt werden, werden rechtzeitig bis zu den Installationstagen ausgeliefert. Sobald der
Lagerbestand eines Laptopmodells ausverkauft ist, wird dieses aus dem Angebot genommen.
− Unsere Workstations sind von den Softwareherstellern für die Arbeit mit CAD/CAM zertifiziert und erfüllen die
erhöhten Hardwareanforderung der technischen Studienrichtungen.
− Alle HP und Lenovo Laptops haben eine dreijährige internationale Garantie, welche bis auf 5 Jahre verlängert und
mit Unfallschutz (ADP) ergänzt werden kann.
− Alle Apple Laptops sind bereits mit einem dritten Garantiejahr mit dem DQ CarePlan konfiguriert. Die
Entscheidung für den DQ CarePlan wird v.a. aufgrund des Preises getroffen, welcher mit CHF 99.- massgeblich
tiefer ist als der Apple CarePlan und auch, um die Apple Laptops in Sachen Garantie den Windows-Geräten
gleichzustellen.
− Alle Windows Laptops haben die CPUs von Intels zehnter oder elfter Generation oder die AMD Ryzen 4000 CPUs.
Bei den Apple MacBooks handelt es sich um das jeweils aktuellste Modell.
− Bei allen Lenovo Geräten ist eine weltweite Lenovo Premier Onsite Garantie konfiguriert. Der Laptop wird im
Garantiefall vor Ort repariert und Kunden erhalten einen direkten, gleichbleibenden Ansprechpartner beim
Lenovo Support.
− Bei HP ProBook Modellen ist eine weltweite Onsite Garantie konfiguriert, bei den ZBook und EliteBook Modellen
eine weltweite Pickup & Return Garantie.

General information about the offer
− All laptop models are configured according to the requirements of the participating UAS / UTE, available from
stock and can be ordered online from Monday, August 16, 2021. All orders placed up to and including Sunday,
September 5, 2021, will be delivered in time for the installation days. As soon as the stock of a laptop model is
sold out, it will be removed from the offer.
− Our workstations are certified by the software manufacturers to work with CAD/CAM and meet the increased
hardware requirements of the technical fields of study.
− All HP and Lenovo laptops have a three-year international warranty, which can be extended to 5 years and
supplemented with accidental damage protection (ADP).
− All Apple laptops are already configured with a third year of warranty with the DQ CarePlan. The decision in favor
of the DQ CarePlan is primarily made due to the price, which at CHF 99 is significantly lower than the Apple
CarePlan, and also to put Apple laptops on an equal level with Windows devices in terms of warranty.
− All Windows laptops have Intel's tenth or eleventh generation CPUs or AMD's Ryzen 4000 CPUs. Apple MacBooks
are the latest model available.
− A worldwide Lenovo Premier Onsite Warranty is configured for all Lenovo devices. The laptop is repaired on-site in
case of a warranty claim and customers get a direct, consistent contact person at Lenovo Support.
− A worldwide onsite warranty is configured for HP ProBook models, and a worldwide pickup & return warranty is
configured for ZBook and EliteBook models.

Bestellvorgang
− Das Angebot wird ab 9. August 2021 auf der Webseite ersichtlich sein, so dass Studierende
sich rechtzeitig informieren und ein geeignetes Laptop auswählen können. Eine Bestellung im
Rahmen des FH-Vorfensters (= ab Lager, garantierte Lieferbarkeit) ist ab Montag, 16. August
bis und mit Sonntag, 5. September 2021 möglich.
− Generelle Informationen zum Bestellprozess befinden sich hier:

− Da Studienanfänger/-innen teilweise noch kein SWITCHaai Login besitzen, bieten wir nur die
Validierung via Formular und Code an. Teilen Sie bitte Ihren Studierenden den Code mit,
welchen wir Ihnen in der E-Mail und der beiliegenden Bestellanleitung aufgeführt
haben, mit.
− Apple verlangt trotz der Identifizierung via Formular und Code einen Upload der
Studienbescheinigung / Immatrikulationsschreibens (bzw. wenn bereits vorhanden,
Studierendenausweis). Dies gilt auch für Personen, die sich via SWITCHaai / eduID
authentisieren können: Apple Schweiz reicht die Authentisierung – im Gegensatz zu anderen
Herstellern und Dienstleistern – nicht als Beleg für eine Bestellberechtigung aus. Leider können
wir diese Entscheidung nicht beeinflussen.

Order process
− The offer will be visible on the website from August 9, 2021, so that students can inform
themselves in time and choose a suitable laptop. Ordering within the UAS pre-window (= ex
stock, guaranteed deliverability) is possible from Monday, August 16 until and including
Sunday, September 5, 2021.
− General information about the ordering process can be found here:

− Since some first-year students do not yet have a SWITCHaai login, we only offer validation via
form and code. Please provide your students with the code we have listed in the email
and the enclosed order instructions.
− Despite the identification via form and code, Apple requires an upload of the certificate of
study / enrollment letter (or if already available, student ID). This also applies to students /
employees who can authenticate themselves via SWITCHaai / eduID: Apple Switzerland - in
contrast to other manufacturers and service providers - does not rely on authentication as
proof of order authorization. Unfortunately, we cannot influence this decision.

Hardwareanforderungen
− Die Hardwareanforderungen für die einzelnen Studiengänge werden von Ihnen vorgegeben.
− Wir beraten die Studierenden nach bestem Wissen und Gewissen, bitte informieren Sie uns nach Erhalt
dieser Präsentation über die technischen Mindestanforderungen an Hardware, bzw. senden Sie uns den
dazugehörigen Link, falls die Information auf Ihrer Webseite öffentlich zugänglich ist.
− Ihre Studierenden können die vorgeschlagenen Laptopmodelle im Showroom auf dem ETH Zürich
Hönggerberg Campus besichtigen oder eine Videoberatung buchen.

− We advise students to the best of our knowledge and belief, please inform us about the minimum technical
hardware requirements after receiving this presentation or send us the corresponding link if the information
is publicly available on your website.
− Your students can view the proposed laptop models in the showroom on the ETH Zurich Hönggerberg
campus or book a video consultation.

UTE. All three laptop models will be available in sufficient quantities from stock, with Swiss
keyboard layout.
− The discount for laptops is - 15% on the Apple.ch price.
− The third warranty year worth CHF 99 (DQ Solutions AG CarePlan) is already included in the
price and cannot be “deselected".
− As with Windows laptops, the Apple range is deliberately limited in order to be able to
guarantee availability. All other configurations will be available when the Neptun Fall Wave
opens on September 6: 15% discount on all current MacBook models with free choice of
configuration, color and keyboard language, with or without extended warranty. 8% discount
on all iPad models.
