Student homes usually rent only for full months, starting on the first Monday of a month. Only
if available, you can also move in earlier. You need to check with the dorm if this is possible.
Otherwise, it can be necessary to book a hostel etc. for your first days in Innsbruck.

You will find many offers also for short term renting (3 4 months). You can search by category
or by district (Wilten and Tivoli would be closest to Pastorstraße, Hötting, Klinik/Uninähe too
but more expensive, Saggen, Reichenau, Pradl are cheaper).
Before transferring any money try to make sure the offer is no fraud. Check the address, show
the offer and have a conversation with people you trust. Commissions are not allowed for
at three monthly rents.

3.1. ÖAD-housing service for ERASMUS students
The Austrian Academic Exchange Service (OeAD) offers a housing service for ERASMUS
students, but only a limited number of rooms (especially single rooms) are available. There are
double and single study-rooms; kitchen and bathroom are usually shared.
The payment of a reservation deposit is compulsory otherwise you will get no room. Please

• You have to apply online and pay a deposit.
• The agency will send you an offer, you have 7 days to accept or turn down this offer.
• Costs: Deposit plus; administration fees will be charged according to the residence
contract; each month EUR 18,00 are deducted from your deposit. (In some of the
student accommodations an additional deposit may be charged upon moving in
information about this can be found in the information leaflet which you will receive
together with the confirmation of your booking.)
