Mixology Bar Awards 2019: Provocateur Bar gleich zweifach ausgezeichnet Die Provocateur Bar wurde bei den Mixology Bar Awards mit der Auszeichnung “Hotel Bar of the Year 2019” und “Bar Team of the Year 2019” geehrt. In 16 Kategorien wurden in der Nacht von Sonntag, dem 07. Oktober 2018, während der Gala zu den Mixology Bar Awards 2019 im Maritim Hotel in Berlin die begehrten schwarzen Glastrophäen verliehen. Ein neunköpfiges Juroren-Team hat unter den verbliebenen Top 5 entschieden: das Provocateur macht einen Doppelschlag und ist „Hotelbar des Jahres“, das Team wurde zum „Bar Team des Jahres“ gekürt. Damit gehört die Bar zu den Besten in Deutschland, Österreich und Schweiz. Die Provocateur Bar basiert auf dem Konzept der preisgekrönten Roomers Bar in Frankfurt: sie ist Herz und Seele des Hotels und steht für eine einmalige Barkultur. Die burleske Atmosphäre des Interieurs spiegelt sich auch in der aktuellen Barkarte wider, welche ebenfalls für die Short List nominiert war: die 12 Signature Cocktails wurden vom Barchef Tarek Nix und seinem Team entwickelt und sind an berühmte Persönlichkeiten aus den 20er Jahren sowie die Geschichte des Hauses angelehnt. Ein individuell abgestimmtes Food-Pairing ergänzt den jeweiligen Drink. Seit der Eröffnung des gleichnamigen Hotels im März 2017 ist die Provocateur Bar ein fester Bestandteil des Berliner Nachtlebens.
Ebenfalls auf der Short List für die Kategorie „Hotelbar des Jahres“ stand die Bristol Bar und ist damit eine der fünf besten. Die stylische Bristol Bar ist ein zweites Wohnzimmer für Frankfurts Locals und internationale Gäste. Im urbanen Szenetreff finden außergewöhnliche Drinks mit Zutaten wie z.B. Rucolasalat ihren Platz neben den üblichen Cocktails auf der Karte. Seit 2013 erscheint die Bristol Bar im roten Gewand: sie ist durch Barbetreiber Branimir Hrkac sowie Barchefin Marina Forciniti und ihrem Team in der Frankfurter Barszene zu einem Hotspot geworden und hat maßgeblich dazu beigetragen, das Image von Hotelbars zum Positiven zu wenden. Neben den zwei gewonnen Auszeichnungen, wurde die Provocateur Bar auch für die Kategorie „Bar Menu of the Year“ nominiert und gehört damit zu den Top 5 in dieser Kategorie. Sie ist zusätzlich eine der 10 nominierten Kandidaten der Kategorie Bar des Jahres Deutschland. Zu den Top 10 in der Kategorie Hotelbar des Jahres zählen außerdem die Roomers Bar in Baden- Baden sowie die Roomers Bar in Frankfurt. Über Mixology Mixology ist ein Fachmagazin für Barkultur und wurde 2002 von den Bartendern Jens Hasenbein und Helmut Adam gegründet. Die Themen reichen von Bargeschichten bis zu Vorstellungen neuer Spirituosen und Produkte. Neben dem alle zwei Monate erscheinenden Magazin produziert Mixology jährlich den Mixology Bar Guide, welcher als Wegweiser für die schönsten Bars der DACH-Region und ausgewählte internationale Metropolen gilt. Seit 2007 verleiht das Magazin die Mixology Bar Awards, welche die wichtigste Auszeichnung der deutschsprachigen Barszene darstellen. Mixology legt einmal mehr Maßstäbe und Trends für die kommenden Monate fest und sind damit das Aushängeschild der gesamten Branche. Mixology Bar Awards 2019: Double Awards for the Provocateur Bar The Provocateur Bar was singled out for two awards at the Mixology Bar Awards ceremony and won both Hotel Bar of the Year 2019 and Bar Team of the Year 2019. At the Mixology Bar Awards gala ceremony held on Sunday, 07th of October 2018, at the Maritim Hotel in Berlin the coveted black glass trophies were awarded in 16 categories. The jury of nine had to choose from a short list of the top five candidates and the Provocateur scored a double hit as Hotel Bar of the Year and Bar Team of the Year awarded to its team. This puts the bar up with the best from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Provocateur Bar follows the concept of the award-winning Roomers Bar in Frankfurt. It’s the hotel’s heart and soul and symbolizes a unique bar culture. The burlesque atmosphere of the interior is reflected in the bar menu, which was also shortlisted. The 12 signature cocktails were created by bar manager Tarek Nix and his team and take their inspiration from celebrities from the 1920’s and from the history of the hotel. An individually matched food pairing gives each drink a finishing touch. Since opening in the hotel of the same name in March 2017 the Provocateur Bar has occupied a firm place in Berlin’s night life.
The Bristol Bar was also shortlisted in the category Hotel Bar of the Year, putting it among the top five. The stylish Bristol Bar is a home from home for the Frankfurt locals and international guests. The urban hot spot offers unconventional drinks with ingredients such as rocket salad featuring on the menu alongside traditional cocktails. Since 2013 the Bristol Bar’s décor is predominantly red: under the bar managers Branimir Hrkac and Marina Forciniti and their team the bar has emerged as a mecca on the Frankfurt bar scene and plays a major role in the upgraded image of hotel bars. Together with the two other awards, the Provocateur Bar was also nominated for the Bar Menu of the Year and is among the top five in this category. It is also one of the 10 candidates nominated in the category Bar of the Year in Germany. The Roomers Bar in Baden-Baden and the Roomers Bar in Frankfurt are also among the Top 10 in the category Hotel Bar of the Year. About Mixology Mixology is a bar culture journal created in 2001 by the bartenders Jens Hasenbein and Helmut Adam. Its articles range from bar anecdotes to the presentation of new spirit drinks and products. Apart from the journal that appears at two month intervals, Mixology also publishes the annual Mixology Bar Guide which is regarded as a road map for the best bars in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and for selected major international cities.
