Allgemeine Information – Winter World Master Games 2020
Games Centre – deine erste Anlaufstelle
Das Games Centre befindet sich in der Olympiaworld Innsbruck (Olympiastraße 10) und ist die erste
Anlaufstelle für alle Athleten. Im Games Centre erhältst du deine Akkreditierung, dein Welcome Bag,
sowie deine bei der Registrierung online gekauften Zusatz-Artikel (T-Shirt, Gala Abend etc.). Zudem
findest du dort einen allgemeinen Info Point, Sport Info Desks bei Fragen zur jeweiligen Sportart, den
Transport & Tourismusstand sowie unseren WWMG 2020 Merchandising-Shop.
Akkreditierung
Als Athlet bei den WWMG 2020 erhältst du eine Akkreditierung, welche dich während der
Veranstaltung als Teilnehmer kennzeichnet und dir Zutritt zu den für dich relevanten Bereichen
gewährt. Die Akkreditierungen können ab 8. Januar 2020 im Akkreditierungs Centre in der
Olympiaworld Innsbruck (Olympiastraße 10) abgeholt werden. Dies muss spätestens am Vorabend
deines ersten Wettkampftages erfolgt sein.
Akkreditierungen sind persönliche Dokumente und nicht übertragbar. Zur Abholung benötigst du
einen Lichtbildausweis, sowie deine Anmeldebestätigung. Wir bitten dich deine Akkreditierung (mit
Ausnahme während deines Wettkampfes) in den Veranstaltungsstätten immer gut sichtbar zu tragen.
Bei Missbrauch wird die Akkreditierungskarte eingezogen.

Die offiziellen Mode- und Fanartikel der Winter World Masters Games 2020 verbreiten gute Laune.
Das moderne Design repräsentiert die winterlichen Schneeflocken und auch das freundschaftliche,
internationale Miteinander, gerade während den WWMG 2020.

Masters Village
Das Masters Village in der Innsbrucker Maria-Theresien-Straße ist der kulturelle und soziale Treffpunkt
für alle Athleten, Begleitpersonen, Einheimische und Gäste der Winter World Masters Games.
Im Rahmen der Eröffnungsfeier marschieren die Athleten gemeinsam vom Vorplatz des Tiroler
Landestheater und der historischen Hofburg in Richtung Maria Theresienstraße, wo auf der Masters
Games Bühne die offizielle Eröffnung erfolgt.
Außerdem finden im Masters Village die Schlussfeier, ausgewählte Siegerehrungen und ein buntes
Rahmenprogramm zum Mitmachen, Erleben und Genießen statt. Zwischen Marktgraben und
Annasäule erstreckt sich der Markt mit winterlicher Gastronomie, Tiroler Köstlichkeiten sowie lokalen
Manufakturen, bietet Winterflair und das Herz der Alpen zum Mitnehmen. Nach einem langen
Sporttag kommen hier alle zusammen, um gemeinsam gebührend zu feiern.

und Tirol zurückgegriffen. Alle Venues liegen mit Ausnahme von Kitzbühel im Umkreis von
25km um Innsbruck und sind mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln optimal zu erreichen.

Teilnehmer der WWMG ist dies für dich kostenlos(siehe „Transport“ im Abschnitt

• Wir achten auf einen sorgsamen Umgang mit Wasser und weisen auf die hervorragende
Trinkwasserqualität Tirols hin.

Tirol kostenlos nutzen zu können. Falls du Interesse hast mit Bus oder Bahn rund um Innsbruck zu den
Bewerben zu fahren oder die Gegend zu erkunden, wende dich an einen Infopoint. Dort erhältst du
alle relevanten Informationen.

Sport Programm in Seefeld
Seefeld ist das sogenannte „Nordic Cluster“ der Winter World Master Games 2020. 8
abwechslungsreiche Tage mit 18 Entscheidungen in 5 Sportarten und ca. 1.300 Teilnehmern stehen
an. Hier ein Überblick über die Sportarten und jeweiligen Wettbewerbe in Seefeld:
• Biathlon: Einzel, Sprint, Staffel
• Langlauf: Kurz, Mittel und Langstrecke (jeweils klassisch + Skating), Staffel
• Nordische Kombination: Individual Gundersen
• Skispringen: HS75, HS75 Team, HS109
• Ski Orientierungslauf: Model Event, Sprint, Middle, Long

Rahmenprogramm in Seefeld
Kaiser Maximilian Lauf
Am Samstag, den 11. Januar 2020 findet in Seefeld die dritte Auflage des Kaiser Maximilian Laufs statt.
Das Rennen ist Teil der Visma Classics Serie und ca. 1.000 Athleten treten über 60 KM bzw. 30 KM in
der klassischen Technik an.

Sport Abend
Für alle Teilnehmer und Helfer der WWMG wird es sportspezifische Abende geben. Je nach Venue und
Sportart gibt es unterschiedliches Programm. Der Sport Abend für die Nordischen Sportarten in Seefeld
ist für Mittwoch, den 15. Januar geplant.
Mehr Details werden zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt veröffentlicht.
Tiroler Schulwinterspiele
Im Rahmen der WWMG werden auch zum dritten Mal die Tiroler Schulwinterspiele ausgetragen. Im
Mittelpunkt der Initiative der Tiroler Bildungsdirektion und der innsbruck-tirol sports Gmbh steht die
Begeisterung für Wintersport in seinen vielfältigen Facetten. Action-reiche und spannende Bewerbe
geben SchülerInnen die Gelegenheit, Wintersportarten aktiv kennenzulernen, im Team
zusammenzuwirken und gemeinschaftlich die vielseitigen Möglich-keiten des Tiroler Winters zu
nutzen.
In Seefeld werden am 15. Januar Wettbewerbe im Langlaufen und ein Testwettbewerb im Ski-
Orientierungslauf durchgeführt.

Athleten Info Meeting
Die wichtigsten Informationen rund um deine Wettkämpfe bei den WWMG erhältst du zum einen in
diesem Dokument, von dem es Anfang Januar noch eine zweite Version mit den finalen Informationen
geben wird. Zum anderen wird am Montag den 13. Januar das erste Athleten Info Meeting (AIM)
stattfinden. Hier gibt es dann von unserem Rennleiter die letzten Details und genauen Abläufe für die
Wettkampftage. Etwaige weitere AIMs werden nach Bedarf einberufen.

Rennbüro
Das Rennbüro für die Sportart Langlauf befindet sich direkt in der WM Arena Seefeld und ist spätestens
ab Montag, den 13. Januar für dich geöffnet. Hier bekommst du unter anderem deine Startnummer
und immer die aktuellsten Informationen.
Startnummernausgabe
Du erhältst nur eine Startnummer für all deine Rennen und die muss bei allen Einzelrennen getragen
werden. Die Startnummernausgabe erfolgt vor Ort im Rennbüro. Um eure Startnummer zu erhalten
benötigst du deine Akkreditierung.
Detaillierter Zeitplan
Ein detaillierter Zeitplan wird rechtzeitig vor den WWMG auf der Langlauf Sportseite der WWMG
Website veröffentlicht.

Startgruppen
Im Langlaufen werden alle Rennen als Massenstart durchgeführt, allerdings unterteilt in mehrere
Startgruppen. Die genaue Einteilung wird erst nach Ende der Anmeldung erfolgen. Es werden immer
alle Starter einer Altersklasse gemeinsam starten – zum Teil gemeinsam mit einer zweiten oder sogar
mehreren Altersklassen, je nach finaler Teilnehmerzahl.
Das Staffelrennen wird ebenfalls als Massenstart durchgeführt.
Training
Es werden keine offiziellen Trainingszeiten im Langlaufen angeboten.
Athleten der WWMG können die Loipen in der Olympiaregion Seefeld (außerhalb der
Wettkampfstrecken) vom 10.-19. Januar kostenlos nutzen. Bitte führe deine Akkreditierung als
Nachweis mit.

Ziel- und Wettkampf-Verpflegung
Nach dem Zieleinlauf bieten wir dir direkt im Nachzielbereich kostenlos warmen Tee an.
Während der Rennen bzw. auf den Strecken wird im Langlaufen von uns keine Verpflegung gestellt,
aber es ist wird möglich sein sich in markierten Zonen Verpflegung von außen (z.B. durch einen Trainer
oder Betreuer) reichen zu lassen. Davon ausgenommen sind beiden Rennen über die lange Distanz.
Hier wird eine Verpflegungsstelle mit warmem Tee angeboten.
Siegerehrungen
Die Siegerehrungen finden immer im Anschluss an die Rennen in Seefeld statt. Die ersten drei jeder
Altersklasse werden geehrt.
Zusätzlich finden einige Siegerehrungen im Masters Village in Innsbruck statt. Welche Disziplin und
welche Altersklasse an welchem Tag ihre Medaillen auf der großen Bühne in der Maria-Theresien-
Straße erhält wird im Vorfeld ausgelost und rechtzeitig bekanntgegeben.
Start & Ergebnislisten
Während des Events findest du alle Start- und Ergebnislisten auf unserer Homepage – diese Seite wird
dann täglich aktualisiert. Des Weiteren wird es dort die Möglichkeit geben, das Renngeschehen über
den Live-Timing Service unseres Zeitnahme Partners mitzuverfolgen und so auch auf die ganz aktuellen
Ergebnisse zuzugreifen.
Die ersten vorläufigen Startlisten werden Anfang Dezember auf der Langlauf Sportseite veröffentlicht.
Reglement & Jury
Die Details zum Reglement und zur Zusammensetzung der Wettkampf Jury findest du in der aktuellen
Ausschreibung auf unserer Homepage.
Staffelrennen
Die Anmeldung für Staffelrennen erfolgt vor Ort im Rennbüro, sodass du auch während der WWMG
noch Zeit hast dich mit anderen Sportlern zu vernetzen und ein Team zu bilden.

General Information – Winter World Master Games 2020
Games Centre – Your first Stop
The Games Centre is located in the Olympiaworld Innsbruck (Olympiastraße 10) and is the central hub
for all athlete services. The Games Centre is where you will receive your welcome bag and any items
you purchased online during the registration process (T-shirt, gala evening, etc.). It is also the location
of the general information desk, the sport information desks (for specific questions on the respective
sports), the transport & tourism stand and our WWMG 2020 merchandising shop.
Accreditation
As an athlete at the WWMG 2020 you will receive accreditation. This shows that you are taking part in
the Games as a competitor and will give you access to the places you need to be at the venues.
Accreditations can be picked up starting from 8 January 2020 at the Accreditation Centre in the
Olympiaworld Innsbruck (Olympiastraße 10). Please make sure you pick up your accreditation at the
latest on the evening before your first day of competition.
Accreditations are personalised documents and therefore non-transferable. When you go to pick up
your accreditation you will need a piece of photo ID as well as confirmation of your registration as an
athlete for the WWMG 2020. Please wear your accreditation in a clearly visible place at all times while
in the venues (except when you are competing). Any misuse of accreditation will result in the
accreditation being removed.

Merchandise
The official merchandise of the Winter World Masters Games 2020 is the perfect way to spread the
message in Innsbruck and to take home a souvenir from this major international event. The modern
design represents a snowflake, with the individual crystals symbolising the meeting of people from
around the world during the WWMG 2020.
As an athlete you can order a number of merchandising articles via the registration platform Active.

Master Village
The Masters Village in Maria-Theresien-Straße, the main shopping street in the heart of Innsbruck, is
the main meeting place and event hub for athletes, companions, locals and guests during the Winter
World Masters Games.
During the opening ceremony the athletes will parade from the square between the Landestheater
regional theatre and the Hofburg imperial palace to the Maria-Theresien-Straße, where the World
Winter Masters Games 2020 will be officially opened.
The Masters Village will also host the closing ceremony, a number of victory ceremonies and plenty of
side events for everyone. The Masters Village will stretch from the Marktgraben road to the Annasäule
column. Its stands will offer traditional food and local handicrafts. It is the place where everyone will
gather at the end of the day to have fun and celebrate together.

we aim to protect our climate, environment and resources as well as to contribute to greater social
equality. You too can do your bit to help!
Here are the most important ways in which we show our commitment to making the WWMG 2020 an
environmentally sustainable event:
• No new venues have been built for the WWMG 2020. All the venues in Innsbruck and Tirol
were already here before the event. With the exception of Kitzbühel, all the venues are no
more than 25 kilometres away from Innsbruck and can be easily accessed using public
transport.
➔ YOU CAN HELP! Use public transport to get around – as a participant in the WWMG
you can use public transport free of charge (see “Transport” in the section Venue
Information).
• We do our best to use as little water as possible. Tyrol’s drinking water is of outstanding
quality and comes straight from the mountains.
➔ YOU CAN HELP! Drink tap water instead of mineral water from plastic bottles.
• We are able to save tonnes of waste thanks to reusable plates, dishes, etc. Any rubbish
which cannot be avoided is separated and recycled.

How to get there
Transport
All accredited participants have the opportunity to use the local public transport system in Tyrol free
of charge. If you are interested in traveling by bus or train around Innsbruck to the competitions or to
explore the area, contact an info point for further details.
Travelling to Seefeld by bus and train
Seefeld is very easy to get to from both Innsbruck (to the south) and Germany (to the north) using

At the WM Arena Seefeld you will find changing facilities available to participants. We also offer a
clothing storage service at the WM Arena, where you can leave your clothes while you are competing.

Sport Programme in Seefeld
Seefeld will serve as the Nordic Cluster of the Winter World Master Games 2020. It will host eight days
of competition with 18 finals in five sports featuring around 1,300 competitors. Here is an overview of
the different sports and competitions in Seefeld:

Side events in Seefeld
Kaiser Maximilian Lauf
On Saturday 11 January 2020 the third edition of the Kaiser Maximilian Lauf will take place in Seefeld.
The race is part of the Visma Classics Series and features around 1000 athletes competing over 60km
and 30km in the classic technique.

Sport Evening
There will be a series of Sport Evenings during the WWMG for all participants and helpers. Each will be
specific to the respective sport and will vary depending on the sport and venue. The Sport Evening for
Nordic sports is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 15 January 2020 in Seefeld.
More details will be released nearer the time.
Tyrolean School Winter Games
The Tyrolean School Winter Games will be held for the third time during the WWMG. The focus of the
intitiative the Tyrolean ministry of education and innsbruck-tirol sports GmbH is to spread the
enthusiasm about winter sports in all its diverse facets. Action and excting competitions give students
the possibility to experience winter sports, work in teams and use the diverse possibilities of winter
sports together.
On Wednesday January 15 there will be the cross-country skiing competitions as well as a test event
where the student can try ski orienteering in Seefeld.

Athletes Info Meeting
All the most important information about your competitions at the WWMG are provided in this
document. Please be aware that a second version of this document will be provided in early January
containing final details. There will also be the first Athlete Information Meeting (AIM) on Sunday 12
January 2020 in the morning before the 30km classic race. During this meeting the race director will
provide final details and information on the schedule for the competition days. Further AIMs may be
held as and when required.

Race Office
The Cross-Country Skiing race office is located directly next to the WM Arena Seefeld. It will be open
from Saturday 11 January 2020 at the latest. Please visit the race office to receive your start number
and all the latest information about your competition.
Bib Numbers
Every athlete will receive just one bib number, which must be worn in all individual races. Bib numbers
will be handed out at the race office. Please be aware that you will need your accreditation in order to
receive your bib number.
Detailed Schedule
A detailed schedule will be announced well in advance before the start of the event on the Cross-
Country Skiing page of the WWMG website.

Start groups
All Cross-Country Skiing races will be mass start race, but there will be several start groups. The exact
groups will be published after the end of the registration deadline. The participants of one age-group
will always be part of the same group – sometimes together with one or several other age-groups,
depending on the final number of competitors.
In the relay race the first competitors of each team all start simultaneously. Subsequent starts by
other team members are done by the incoming team member tagging the next team member in the
relay hand-over zone.
Training
There will be no official training times for cross-country skiing
Athletes taking part in the WWMG can also use the cross-country skiing trails in the Olympiaregion
Seefeld (except the trails which will be used for the races) free of charge from 10 until 19 January 2020.
Please carry your accreditation with you at all times.

Food & drink during competition and at the finish
At the finish area we will provide hot tea free of charge.
During the races and along the courses there will be no food or drink provided. However, it is permitted
for coaches and other support staff to pass food and drink to competitors within the dedicated feeding
zone. The two races on the long distance are an exception. During these races there will be a feedzone
with hot tea.
Medal Ceremonies
The medal ceremonies take place immediately after the races. The top three athletes from each age
category will be awarded medals.
Some medal ceremonies will take place in the Masters Village in Innsbruck. We will announce well in
advance which disciplines and which age categories will get their medals on the main stage at Maria-
Theresien-Straße in the centre of Innsbruck. The decision on which medal ceremonies will take place
at Maria-Theresien-Straße will be taken by drawing lots.
Startlists & Results
During the event you will find all start lists and results lists on our homepage – this information will be
updated daily. Furthermore, it will be possible to follow the action using the live timing service
provided by our timekeeping partner in order to stay up to date with the latest standings and results.
The first preliminary start lists will be published on the Cross-Country Skiing page of the WWMG
website at the beginning of December.

Details on the competition rules and judges can be found in the announcement on the Cross-Country

Relay
Registration for relay races is carried out at the race office in the venue. This is so that you have time
to get to know other athletes during the WWMG and form a team together.
