als neuer Bürgermeister der Stadt Wien ist es mir
eine Freude, Sie herzlich zum 28. Film Festival
auf dem Wiener Rathausplatz zu begrüßen.
65 Tage lang können Freunde und Fans der Musik
hier im Herzen der Stadt unter freiem Himmel und
vor traumhafter Kulisse kostenlos Kunst und Kultur

eigenes Kinderopernfestival inklusive Aktivprogramm. Mit dieser un-
terhaltsamen Vermittlung von Musik und Bewegung für Kinder werden
wichtige Anliegen der Stadt aufgegriffen und den jüngeren Gästen
ganz besondere Erlebnisse auf dem Rathausplatz geboten.

Events live because they develop constantly, so this year the

Film Festival offers a new highlight that is much more than just
another item on the programme: every Friday there will be a Y
children’s opera festival including an activity programme in the
Rathauspark. This entertaining offering of music and exercise for CM
children will highlight important issues in the city and offer very MY
special experiences to younger guests on the Rathausplatz.

Leonard Bernstein wurde berühmt als Komponist, Dirigent und Pianist, aber

him more pleasure than the joy of teaching. In his Young People’s Concerts he presents a
unique blend of spoken words and music, introducing an entire generation to the joys of
classical music. In this all-Beethoven programme the first movement of the Symphony
No. 5, the Concerto in G for piano and orchestra and the Leonore Overture No. 3 are per-
