Sehr geehrte Freunde unseres Hauses!
Auf 100 Jahre Firmengeschichte zurück zu blicken ist besonders schön, wenn man es in einer Situation tun kann, in der das
Unternehmen erfolgreich ist. So gelten unser Gruß und unser Dank zunächst Ihnen, unseren Kunden, die sich für uns und unsere
Produkte entschieden haben. Nicht weniger möchten wir uns jedoch bei unseren Mitarbeitern bedanken, die mit Intelligenz und
Tatkraft dafür sorgen, dass auch nach 100 Jahren gilt: Katz & Klumpp … ist und bleibt einzigartig.
Als das Werk Fürnitz im Jahre 1911 gegründet wurde, spielten die Nähe zu Deutschland und die Handelsstraße nach Italien eine
wesentliche Rolle. Was dort als kleines Säge- und Holzkonservierungswerk begann, ist heute ein leistungsfähiger und zuverlässiger
Partner für Kunden in aller Welt. Seit 1988 im Besitz der Familie Ritter, ist Katz & Klumpp auf einem erfolgreichen Weg, den wir

It is a wonderful feeling to be able to look back on 100 years of company history, and this feeling is even better if the company
is actually successful. Therefore we would like to say THANK YOU first of all to you, our clients, who decided for Katz & Klumpp
products. Not even less I wish to thank our staff members who still after 100 years with personal commitment and energy constantly
take care for the success of Katz & Klumpp so that you can say even today: Katz & Klumpp …. is and will stay unique.
The main reasons for founding Katz & Klumpp Fuernitz in 1911 was the nearness to the Italian trading route on one hand and the
German market on the other hand. What began as a small saw mill and wood preserving factory , evolved into a powerful and
reliable partner for clients all over the world. So we can say that nowadays Katz & Klumpp – who since 1988 is owned by family
RITTER – is on a successful way to future which we intend to continue. With innovation and endurance. And most of all – with you.

einen jahrtausende alten Werkstoff
Kiefernholz ist ein wunderbares natürliches Material. Vielseitig, stabil, nachwachsend. Trotzdem kann man es immer noch besser
machen. Und das tun wir. Mithilfe von CAD verbinden wir Form und Funktion noch harmonischer miteinander. Eine verfeinerte Me-
thode der Kesseldruckimprägnierung sorgt für beispielhafte Langlebigkeit unserer Produkte, ohne die Umwelt zu belasten.
Durch den Einsatz hoch moderner Bearbeitungsmaschinen sparen wir außerdem Zeit – Ihr Geld – und nutzen das Holz jedes
einzelnen Baumes so gut wie nur möglich. Dem Holz selbst lassen wir allerdings viel Zeit, um richtig abzulagern. Auf rund 80.000 m2
Betriebgeländefläche wartet es nach der Bearbeitung mehr als 1 Jahr bis zur Auslieferung an unsere Kunden.
In unserem Unternehmen wurde neben ISO 9001 auch das Umweltmanagementsystem nach ISO 14001 erfolgreich eingeführt.
Für hervorragende Leistungen und die besondere Qualität unserer Produkte, haben wir die Erlaubnis der österreichischen Bundes-
regierung, das Bundeswappen zu führen.
Mit rund 40 Mitarbeitern erarbeiten
wir einen Jahresumsatz von ca.
5,5 Millionen Euro.

Katz & Klumpp – the grading up of a thousands of years

Pine wood (pinus sylvestris) is meant to be a wonderful natural material: multifunctional, solid, renewable. Anyway, there is always
a possibility to make it better, and this is what Katz & Klumpp is doing. By using modern technologies like CAD we constantly try to
find a harmonic alliance between form and functionality. Our sophisticated procedure of pressure impregnation is the guarantee for a
remarkable endurance of our products without damaging the environment.
Besides we save time – your money! – by using ultra-modern processing machines; each part of the wood will be tapped at the best.
On the other hand we give enough time to the storage of the wood which on our 80.000 m² factory area is resting for about 1 year
before it will be treated and finally delivered to our clients.
Since many years our working process is managed by ISO certifications – we are authorized to use ISO 9001 certificate for quality
management as well as ISO 14001 certificate for environmental management system. Furthermore the Austrian Federal Government
gave us the allowance to use the Austrian Federal Eagle because of the extraordinary good service and quality of our products.
