Hello modellbahn fans! The kits are ready! Who wants some?
Welcome to the very first newsletter from skapa.modell. It’s great to get to this stage. With files now
complete and machines primed, we’re ready to go! I am exceptionally pleased with the results of our
model kits. Smooth, detailed surfaces, with lots of features down to 0.1 mm at 1:87 scale. There were
many issues with the existing UHD prints; lines, striations, rough surfaces (the list goes on and on!),
but thankfully this an incredibly brilliant solution to bring modellers the very best in detail and price.
With many thanks to various community members for their time and dedication. It’s really
appreciated.
I know 2020/2021 has been bad to us with COVID-19, but technologically it just keeps giving! The
orders have started to come in and kits have been posted to the UK, USA, Austria, and Germany so
far. With some hard work, we’ve achieved a range of JZ 83 and JZ 740 kits that I’m sure you’ll be
really pleased with. Plenty of other projects to come too! Please continue to read this newsletter for
information on each kit, the quality of detail and how to order.
Hallo Modellbahnfans! Die Kits sind fertig! Wer möchte welches?
Willkommen zum allerersten Newsletter von skapa.modell. Es ist großartig, dieses Stadium zu
erreichen. Nachdem die Dateien jetzt vollständig und die Maschinen vorbereitet sind, können wir
loslegen! Ich bin außerordentlich zufrieden mit den Ergebnissen unserer Modellbausätze. Glatte,
detaillierte Oberflächen mit vielen Merkmalen bis zu 0,1 mm im Maßstab 1:87. Es gab viele Probleme
mit den vorhandenen UHD-Drucken. Linien, Streifen, raue Oberflächen (die Liste geht weiter und
weiter!), aber zum Glück ist dies eine unglaublich brillante Lösung, um Modellbauern das Beste in
Detail und Preis zu bieten. Vielen Dank an verschiedene Community-Mitglieder für ihre Zeit und ihren
Einsatz. Es wird wirklich geschätzt.
Ich weiß, dass 2020/2021 mit COVID-19 schlecht für uns war, aber technologisch geht es einfach
weiter! Die Bestellungen gingen ein und Kits wurden bisher nach Großbritannien, USA, Österreich und
Deutschland verschickt. Mit harter Arbeit haben wir eine Reihe von JZ 83 und JZ 740-Kits erreicht, mit

Quality assurance, quality
control and smoothness!
No awkward striations in printed surfaces and
rough edges that have to be continually sanded
down. The models are printed in either 2K or 4K
detail which is equivalent to UHD detail in 1:87
scale! Please look at the pictures to really see
the 0.1 mm + detail that has been captured in
these kits. I’m still amazed by how smooth and
detailed they are!
Qualitätssicherung,
Qualitätskontrolle und Laufruhe!
Keine unangenehmen Streifen in bedruckten
Oberflächen und rauen Kanten, die ständig
abgeschliffen werden müssen. Die Modelle
werden entweder in 2K- oder 4K-Details
gedruckt, was UHD-Details im Maßstab 1:87

(EN) Many of the goods wagons from the
Zillertalbahn can be seen in the sidings of Jenbach.
It’s our plan to bring all of these models to life in 1:87
scale. We’re focusing on Gw/s 105 and Gw/s 164 at the
minute, but have plans to build many more in the
coming months and years.
(DE) Viele der Güterwagen der Zillertalbahn sind auf
den Abstellgleisen von Jenbach zu sehen. Es ist

wanted to add in this paragraph that we’ve tried to
make these models as accurate as possible. This
includes counting each plank of wood and trying to
include each rivet. I takes longer this way, but purism
is key to achieving the best result!

(EN) The Zillertalbahn’s X 603 II and X 604 II ballast
wagons share an almost identical body. However,
the chassis are very different. Work continues on
them for a release as soon as possible. A really fun
project and we can’t wait to see the results!

Zillertalbahn teilen sich eine nahezu identische
Karosserie. Das Chassis ist jedoch sehr
