It is clear that work experience counts, as the company dates back to 1973. But it was the constant search for quality that has set the company in the memory of the Brazilians when it comes to wine. Sparkling wines deserve special attention among the comprehensive range of products made by Casa Valduga. The traditional method, with the second fermentation in the bottle, was early adopted by the winery. Constantly searching for the best raw materials, the winery also has business in the Campanha region - in addition to the vineyards grown in Serra Gaúcha, where it is based. 20 21 www.winesofbrasil.com www.winesofbrasil.com

The company opted not to operate its own vineyards, instead choosing to forge partnerships with eight grape producers under strict regulations to ensure a quality raw material. An agronomist engineer and two enologists coordinate work in the field. This isn’t to say that you won’t find vineyards on the properties of Dal Pizzol. Under the Vinhedo do Mundo (Vines of the World) project, the winery cultivates more than 160 varieties from 22 countries in a space of half a hectare. In addition to supporting tests and research, the vines decorate the themed park maintained by Dal Pizzol in honor of viticulture. 22 23 www.winesofbrasil.com www.winesofbrasil.com

The dedication and perseverance of the small farmers and their families have supported and guided the development of the local wine industry. Grapes and the products made of them have always been the central business focus of Cooperativa Vinícola Garibaldi. But since its beginning, the main core of the operation has always been the welfare of the people involved in the process, in accordance with the cooperative spirit and ideal. Christopher Lee once said that “people make history, but rarely realize what they’re doing”. Writing the history itself is as subtle as starting a long walk. Today the company has both a traditional and modern concept in sustainability. Cooperativa Vinicola Garibaldi produces high quality products which are aligned with the consumer’s demand and with the respect paid to the ecosystem. This special care results in a number of awards for its products both in Brazil and worldwide. 26 27 www.winesofbrasil.com www.winesofbrasil.com
