Verluste der Deutschen und die Beute der Truppen der 3, Ukrainischen Front in der Kampfperiode vom 6.
bis zum 16. März d.J.
Die Truppen der 3. Ukrainischen Front unter dem Kommando des Armeegenerals Malinowski zerschlugen
nach Durchbrechen der Verteidigung der Deutschen am Fluss Ingules und dem weiteren Vorgehen bis
zum Fluss Jushni Zug, das heisst vom 6. bis zum 16. März, vollständig die 6. deutsche Armee des
Generalobersten Hollidt.
Die Hauptniederlage wurde dem Feind verletzt in der Periode vom 13. biz zum 16. März d.J. als das
deutsche Kommando infolge des Durchbruchs, der Gardetruppen des Generalleutnants Pliew in das
Hinterland der Deutschen, jede Führung über seine Truppen verlor und den Befehl; herausgab, sich nach
dem Westen in kleinen Gruppen oder sogar einzeln durchzuschlagen.
Darauf folgend wurde eine Reihe der deutschen Truppen umzingelt, voneinander isoliert und durch
schnelles und mutiges Handeln russischer Divisionen und Korps vernichtet. Die Vernichtung wurde so
überraschend und mit solder Entschlossenheit durchgeführt, dass die Deutschen nicht imstande waren,
ihre abgeschnittenen Truppen wieder in eine geschlossene Einheit zu sammeln. Das gab den
Sowjettruppen die Möglichkeit sie getrennt, hauptsächlich im Raume von Rowo-Sewastopol, Nowo-
Sergeemka, Chutor Schewtschenko, Beresnegowatoje, Jawkino und Snigirewsam zu vernichten.
In diesen Kämpfen, dessen Ziel die vollständige Vernichtung des Gegners war, worden vollständig
zerschlagen und liquidiert die 3. und 97. Jägerdivision, die 17., 123., 125., 258., 302., 294. und 387.
Infanteriedivision, die 9. Panzerdivision; schwere Niederlagen die zum fast vollständigen Verlust der
Kampffährigkeit des Gegners führten, wurden folgenden Einheiten der Deutschen zugefügt: der 9., 15.,
46., 62., 79., 304., und 335. Infanteriedivision, der 23. und 24. Panzerdivision und der 16. mot. Division;
Die 76., 111., 257. und 370. Infanteriedivision erlitten ebenfalls grosse Verluste doch sie haben teilweise
ihre Kampffähigkeit behalten.
Folgende Einheiten haben fast ihre ganze materielle Ausrüstung und Geräte verloren: das 45., 51., 53.,
115., 127. und 140. Artillerieregiment aus der Reserve des Generalkommandos die 52., 77., 148., 154.,
707., 711., 732., 736. und 737. Artillerieabteilung ebenfalls aus der Reserve des Generalkommandos, die
209., 232., 236., 238., 243., 277., 278. und 281. Sturmgeschützabteilung und die 560. schwere
Sturmgeschützabteilung. Ausserdem wurden 25 Sondereinheiten wie Pionier, —Bau, —Bewährung,
—Sicherheit, —Gendarmerie, —und Marschbataillone zerschlagen, die als Infanteristen in den Kampf
geworfen wurden.
In dieser Periode wurden 13859 deutscher Soldaten und Offiziere gefangengenommen, 36800 sind
gefallen und auf unserem Boden liegen geblieben.
Erbeutet wurden: 131 Panzer, 74 Sturmgeschütze, 678 Geschütze, 1646 Maschinengewehre, 9100

Kraftfahrzeuge, (meistens ausser Betrieb) 517 Raupenschlepper, 115 gepanzerte Schützenwagen, 15000
Fahrzeuge, 605 Krafträder, 44 Funkstationen, 99 verschiedene Depots, 13 Eisenbahntransportzüge mit
Munition, 27 Lokomotiven, 5 Zugmaschinen, 28000 Geschosse, 2 Bombenlager, gestapelte Muni. Risten
aus 1800 Waggons, mehr als 2000 Pferde und ein Flussdampfer.
Vernichtet und von den Deutschen zurückgelassen: 144 Panzer, 118 Sturmgeschütze, 540 Geschütze, 559
Granatwerfer, 1458 Maschinengewehre, 6931 Kraftfahrzeuge, 67 Raupenschlepper, 88 gepanzerte
Schützenwagen, 5724 Fahrzeuge, 2510 Pferde, 20 verschiedene Depots, 120 Krafträder, 10 Flugzeuge, 5
Sturmbote.
Ingesamt verlor die 6. deutsche Armee an wichtigsten Waffen, Geräte und an Menschenmaterial: 50659 an
Gefangenen und Toten, ohne die von den Deutschen heraustransportierten Verwundeten, 4510 Pferde,
1218 Geschütze, 1012 Granatwerfer, 3134 Maschinengewehre, 275 Panzer, 192 Sturmgeschütze, 203
gepanzerte Schützenwagen, 16031 Kraftfahrzeuge und viel anderes Kriegsmaterial.
Es konnten sich durch die Flucht retten nur einzelne Stäbe und kleine Rote der zerschlagenen deutschen
Einheiter.
Als Helfer in der Zeitung der Operationen der 3. Ukrainischen, Front, die zur Zerschmettern der 6.
deutschen Armee führten, wirkte der Vertreter des Hauptquartiers des Obersten Kommandos Marstall der
Sowjetunion Wasilewski.

“Special message
Loss of the Germans and the spoils of the troops of the 3rd Ukrainian Front in the fighting period from
March 6th to March 16th of the year.
The troops of the 3rd Ukrainian Front, under the command of Army General Malinowski, completely
smashed the 6th German Army after breaking through the defenses of the Germans on the Ingules River
and proceeding to the Jushni Zug River, i.e. from March 6 to 16 Colonel General Hollidt.
The main defeat was injuring to the enemy in the period from March 13th to March 16th of the year. When
the German command, as a result of the breakthrough, of Lieutenant General Pliew's guard troops in the
German rear, lost all leadership over its troops and lost command; reported to make his way west in small
groups or even individually.
Subsequently, a number of the German troops were surrounded, isolated from one another and destroyed
by the quick and courageous action of Russian divisions and corps. The extermination was carried out so
surprisingly and with such determination that the Germans were unable to regroup their severed troops
into a closed unit. This gave the Soviet troops the opportunity to destroy them separately, mainly in the
area of Rowo-Sevastopol, Novo-Sergeemka, Khutor Shevchenko, Bereznegovatoje, Jawkino and
Snigirevsam.
In these battles, the aim of which was the complete annihilation of the enemy, the 3rd and 97th Jäger
Divisions, the 17th, 123rd, 125th, 258th, 302nd, 294th and 387th Infantry Divisions were completely
crushed and liquidated 9th Armored Division; Heavy defeats that led to the almost complete loss of
combat ability of the enemy were inflicted on the following German units: the 9th, 15th, 46th, 62nd, 79th,
304th and 335th Infantry Divisions, the 23rd and 24th Infantry Divisions. Panzer Division and the 16th
Motorized Division; The 76th, 111th, 257th and 370th Infantry Divisions also suffered heavy losses, but
some of them retained their combat capability.
The following units have lost almost all of their material equipment and devices: the 45th, 51st, 53rd,
115th, 127th and 140th artillery regiments from the reserve of the General Command, the 52nd, 77th,
148th, 154th, 707th ., 711th, 732nd, 736th and 737th artillery divisions also from the reserve of the General
Command, the 209th, 232nd, 236th, 238th, 243rd, 277th, 278th and 281st assault gun divisions and the
560. heavy assault gun division. In addition, 25 special units such as pioneer, construction, probation,
security, gendarmerie and marching battalions, which were thrown into combat as infantry, were smashed.
During this period 13,859 German soldiers and officers were captured, 36,800 fell and remained on our
soil.

motor vehicles, (mostly out of service) 517 caterpillar tractors, 115 armored rifle vehicles, 15,000 vehicles,
605 motorcycles, 44 radio stations, 99 different depots, 13 rail transport trains with ammunition, 27
locomotives , 5 tractors, 28,000 projectiles, 2 bomb stores, stacked munition. Risten from 1,800 wagons,
more than 2,000 horses and a river steamer.
Destroyed and left behind by the Germans: 144 tanks, 118 assault guns, 540 artillery pieces, 559 grenade
launchers, 1,458 machine guns, 6,931 motor vehicles, 67 caterpillar tractors, 88 armored rifle vehicles,
5,724 vehicles, 2,510 horses, 20 different depots, 120 motorcycles, 10 aircraft, 5 assault boats .
All in all, the 6th German Army lost the most important weapons, equipment and human material: 50,659
prisoners and dead, not including the wounded who were transported out by the Germans, 4,510 horses,
1,218 artillery pieces, 1,012 grenade launchers, 3,134 machine guns, 275 tanks, 192 self-propelled guns,
203 armored ones, 16 031 motor vehicles and a lot of other war material.
Only a few staffs from the broken German units were able to save themselves by fleeing.
As a helper in the newspaper of the operations of the 3rd Ukrainian Front, which led to the shattering of
the 6th German Army, the representative of the headquarters of the Supreme Command Marstall of the
Soviet Union Wasilewski reported.
