Musik und Eurythmie bilden nun schon seit 100 Jahren einen festen Bestandteil der Waldorf- Den Rahmen für eine gelungene Tagung schafft das Organisationsteam, bestehend aus

WHAT MOVES YOU hat seit 2012 in drei jeweils vierwöchigen Projekten mit insgesamt rund
240 jungen Menschen Sinfonien von Beethoven, Dvořák und Schubert einstudiert.
CANTARE veranstaltete inzwischen sieben Chortagungen und konnte fast 500 junge Menschen
für klassische Chor- und Orchestermusik begeistern.
EURYTHMY IN PROGRESS ist ein eurythmisches Projekt, welches 2017 erstmals stattfand
und in etwas kleinerem Rahmen ebenfalls erste künstlerische Bühnenerfahrung ermöglichte.
CONNECT möchte nun anlässlich des 100-jährigen Bestehens der Waldorfschule diese drei
Künste in einem gemeinsamen, dreiwöchigen, internationalen Jugendprojekt vereinen. Die
Teilnehmenden melden sich im Vorfeld für den Chor oder die Eurythmie an. Auf dem Projekt-
Campus werden sie sich dann kennenlernen und Freundschaften schließen, während sie auf
das gemeinschaftliche Ziel hinarbeiten. Das Orchester, bestehend aus jungen Menschen, wird
im Laufe der Tagung die Proben ergänzen und das Gesamtbild dreier gleichwertiger Künste
abrunden. Die Teilnehmenden werden täglich bis zu sechs Stunden proben, um ein künstlerisch
hochwertiges und öffentlich wirksames Endergebnis zu erzielen. Neben der Abschlussaufführung
ist der Entstehungsprozess während der Tagung aber genauso wichtig.
Die Begegnungen, die bei CONNECT stattfinden, sind wahre Begegnungen von Mensch zu
Mensch. Sie wachsen durch das gemeinsame Tun, das daraus sich entwickelnde Verstehen des
Anderen und der Kunst. Ein Bühnenprogramm mit mehr als 150 Jugendlichen auf die Beine zu
stellen, erfordert von allen Empathie, Geschicklichkeit, Ausdauer, Teamwork, aber auch die pure
Lust am Bewegen und an der Musik.

For eight years, the projects WHAT MOVES YOU, EURYTHMY IN PROGRESS and CANTARE
have been giving the opportunity to young people to engage and to experience those arts, free
of the context of school nowadays.
Since 2012, approximately 240 people practiced eurythmy to symphonies of Beethoven,
Dvořák and Schubert, during three WHAT MOVES YOU projects, which were each four weeks long.
CANTARE has taken place seven times and has inspired almost 500 young people to sing
and play classical choir and orchestra music.
EURYTHMY IN PROGRESS is a eurythmy project, founded in 2017, which allowed young
people to gain first stage experiences on a small scale.
In summer 2019, CONNECT will bring those three art forms together in one international
youth project, to honor the 100th anniversary of Waldorf schools, for three weeks. The partici-
pants must indicate which art form they want to practice during the application process, prior
to the event. The project starts with the eurythmy and choir participants. One week later the
orchestra will join the project and rehearsals, to finish off the image of three equal arts. The
participants can work, live, experience, find new paths together and broaden their minds on
the project‘s campus in Hamburg. Together everyone can engage freely in the artistic process
for six hours, daily. The final outcome, a top-level performance, is as important as the artistic
process.
The relationships that begin at CONNECT are true relationships between humans. The
bonds between them grow because of the common work and because of the resulting under-
standing of the other people and the arts. A stage performance with more than 150 young
people requires empathy, skill, perseverance, teamwork and people’s enthusiasm to move and
make music.
