findet jeweils zum Saisonbeginn, zu Ostern und zum Saison-

The Alpine lifestyle metropolis
In Ischgl, the Alpine lifestyle metropolis, skiers and snowboarders
will find the largest continuous ski resort in the Alps: the “Silvretta
Arena Ischgl Samnaun“ impresses with ideally prepared pistes of all
difficulty ratings, large fun parks and the finest powder snow areas.
The cross-border ski resort (Austria – Switzerland) provides winter
sports fans with guaranteed snow from the end of November to the
start of May!
The slogan “Relax. If you can…“ is not an empty promise in Ischgl:
holidaymakers will find the highest-altitude stage in the Alps here
and stars like Rihanna, Robbie Williams and Elton John have all
performed here at the legendary Top of the Mountain Concerts! This
concert series takes place at the start of the season, at Easter and at
the close of the season.

NEUHEITEN
Gampenbahn:
Im Jahr 1988 war die kuppelbare 4er Sesselbahn Gampen das größte
Bauvorhaben der Silvrettaseilbahn AG. Die Bahn war zum dama-
ligen Zeitpunkt die längste Sesselbahn in Österreich und wurde
in einer Rekordbauzeit von nur 5 Monaten errichtet. Nach nun 30
Wintern und rd. 13. Mio. Fahrten wird die Gampenbahn im Sommer
2018 durch eine moderne 6er Sesselbahn der neuesten Generation
getauscht. Mit 924 m Höhenunterschied überwindet die 6-CLD/B
Gampenbahn den größten Höhenunterschied einer 6er Sesselbahn
mit Haube weltweit.
Neues Selbstbedienungsrestaurant:
Unter dem Namen ,,Ischgl Slope Food“ gibt es direkt bei der Tal-
station der neuen Gampenbahn ein neues, innovatives Selbstbedie-
nungsrestaurant. Man holt dabei das Skigebiet ins Restaurant und
bekommt beispielsweise sein Essen aus einer Gondel gereicht.

NEW FEATURES
Gampenbahn:
In 1988, Silvrettaseilbahn AG commenced work on its then-largest
construction project: the installation of the detachable 4-seater
Gampenbahn chairlift. Built in a record time of 5 months, the lift
was at the time the longest chairlift structure in Austria. Now, after
30 winters and ca. 13 million journeys, the Gampenbahn lift was
upgraded to a modern 6-seat chairlift in summer 2018. The new
state-of-the-art 6-CLD/B Gampenbahn lift features an altitude
difference of 924 m, the greatest altitude difference of any 6-seater
chairlift with canopy worldwide.
New self-service restaurant:
“Ischgl Slope Food“ is the name of the new, innovative self-service
restaurant right by the valley station of the new Gampenbahn
chairlift. The self-service concept incorporates aspects of ski lifestyle
into the restaurant. For example, you will be served your food from
a gondola.

Neues Bergrestaurant Gampenalpe:
Das neue Bedienungsrestaurant Gampenalpe liegt direkt an der
roten Skipiste Nr. 40 auf einer Seehöhe von 1.990 m, rd. 400 m
entfernt von der Talstation der neuen Sesselbahn Gampen E4.
Die neue urige Skihütte im Skigebiet Ischgl/Samnaun wird über
100 bediente Sitzplätze verfügen und mit regionaler Tiroler Küche
verwöhnen.

Gampenalpe, the new mountain restaurant:
The new Gampenalpe restaurant is located right by the red ski
slope No. 40 at 1990 m above sea level, approximately 400 m from
the valley station of the new Gampen E4 chairlift. The new, rustic-
style ski lodge in the ski resort of Ischgl/Samnaun has a seating
capacity for over 100 guests and will pamper your palate with fine
Tyrolean cuisine.

Demoshow der Skischule Ischgl
Erleben Sie eine spektakuläre Nightshow am Prennerhang mit der
Skischule Ischgl. Neben atemberaubenden Formationsfahrten un-
serer Demo-Teams werden noch weitere waghalsige Aktivitäten
gezeigt, die begeistern. Bereits die kleinen Skizwerge vom Skiclub
Ischgl wagen sich den steilen Prennerhang hinunter und erobern
die Herzen aller Skifans. Eine Demonstration der großen Bandbreite
des Schneesports, da dürfen Funsportgeräte ebenso wenig wie das
Telemarken oder Snowboarden fehlen. Der DJ liefert die passende
Musik zu den einzelnen Vorführungen und heizt den Zuschauern
ordentlich ein. Das dürfen Sie sich auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen.

Demo show by the Ischgl Ski School
Experience a spectacular night-time show on the Prennerhang with
the Ischgl Ski School. There will be breath-taking formation rides by
our demo teams alongside other daredevil activities. The youngest
members of Ischgl Ski Club will also be braving the steep descent of
the Prennerhang, conquering the hearts of all skiing fans. A demons-
tration of the wide range of snow sports with plenty of fun sports
equipment, Telemark skiing and snowboarding thrown in too! The
DJ will provide suitable musical accompaniment to the performan-
ces to get the crowd going. A must-see!

Jeden Montag und Donnerstag
Rodelabend
Nächtlichen Rodelspaß garantiert Ischgl auf der 7 km langen Rodelbahn
von der Idalpe nach Ischgl. Mit gleich 7 Rodelkilometern und 950 Höhen-
metern ist Ischgls Nachtrodelbahn eine der längsten Strecken in den
Alpen. Die Auffahrt erfolgt mit der Silvrettabahn A1 und ist von 19:00
– 20:30 Uhr möglich. Für Hüttenzauber mit Stimmungsmusik und Tiro-
ler Spezialitäten ist im Bergrestaurant Idalpe gesorgt. Von etwa Mitte
Dezember bis ca. Anfang April ist die Nachtrodelbahn bei passender
Witterung jeweils Montags und Donnerstags befahrbar. Rodel erhalten
Sie von Silvretta-Sports bei der Bergstation. Achtung: Leihgebühr muss
gleichzeitig mit der Beförderungskarte bezahlt werden! Hinweis: Die
Rodelkarte berechtigt zur einmaligen Auffahrt mit der Silvrettabahn A1.
Die Rodelbahn ist tagsüber gesperrt.

Every Monday and Thursday
Sledging evening
Ischgl offers night-time sledging fun along the 7 km toboggan run from
the Idalpe to Ischgl. With its 7 km of sledging and 950m altitude, Ischgl’s
night-time toboggan run is one of the longest trails in the Alps. The Silvret-
tabahn A1 cable car leads up to the top and operates from 7 pm - 8.30 pm.
The Idalpe mountain restaurant offers a magical mountain lodge ambi-
ence with atmospheric music and Tyrolean specialities. The night-time
toboggan run is open from mid-December to approx. start of April on
Mondays and Thursdays whenever the weather conditions are suitable.
Sledges can be acquired from Silvretta-Sports at the mountain station. NB:
hire fee must be paid at the same time as the ticket purchase. Sledging ti-
ckets are valid for one trip on the Silvrettabahn A1 cable car. The toboggan
run is closed during the day.

Egal ob Anfänger oder Profi, Freeride Crack oder Skitouren Neuling –
die Offpisten Vielfalt in Ischgl sucht seinesgleichen und hält für jedes
Leistungsniveau die richtige Herausforderung bereit. Enge Rinnen, weite
Tiefschneehänge mit mäßiger Neigung oder bis zu 50 Grad steile, von Cliffs
unterbrochene Abfahrten – bei uns gibt‘s Offpiste Spass für Jedermann.
Sogar Tage nach Neuschneefällen werden Tiefschneehungrige auf der
Suche nach unverspurten Runs fündig. Die besten Skiführer und Guides
der Region sorgen dafür, dass das Surfen im frischen Pulverschnee zum
gefahrlosen und unvergesslichen Erlebnis wird. Freeride Kurse und Guides
für Anfänger und Profis können auf Anfrage bei allen Skischulen des
Paznaun gebucht werden.

SKITOUREN
Es ist die vielleicht ursprünglichste Form des Skifahrens: Zu Fuß,
mit Ski und Fellen den Berg bezwingen. Hinunter gibt’s dann den
absoluten Genuss, wenn die eigene Spur in den Tiefschnee ge-
zaubert wird. Skitouren sind ein absolutes Muss für Bergfreunde und
Menschen, die jenseits ausgetretener Pfade und belebter Pisten den
alpinen Winter hautnah spüren möchten.
Wer die fantastische hochalpine Landschaft erleben möchte, für den
stehen bei langen Ausflügen abseits der Pisten komfortable Hütten
zum Übernachten zur Verfügung. So wird aus einer Tages-Skitour in
Ischgl ein einmaliges Erlebnis, das sich problemlos verlängern lässt.
Zur Auswahl stehen dabei endlose Möglichkeiten, sich und seinen
Körper zu fordern, ans Limit zu gehen und dabei immer im Einklang
mit der Natur zu bleiben. Wer den Sport beherrscht, dabei trotzdem
auf Nummer sichergehen will, oder wer die Aufstiegstechnik auf
Fellen lernen oder nur mal schnuppern will, vertraut am besten auf
erfahrene Bergführer.

SKI TOURS
It’s perhaps the most original form of skiing: conquering the
mountains on foot, wearing skis covered in fur. Skiing downhill is
a real treat as you make your mark in the deep snow. Ski tours
are a must for mountain enthusiasts and people who want to
experience the Alpine winter up close, away from the well-trodden
trails and busy pistes.
For those wishing to experience the fantastic high Alpine landscape,
there are various comfortable mountain lodges offering over-
night accommodation for longer excursions away from the pistes.
A day ski tour in Paznaun is a unique experience and can easily be
extended. There is an endless array of possibilities for challenging
yourself and your body and pushing yourself to the limit while being
in harmony with nature. Whether you are sporty, prefer to play it
safe or want to learn or gain a taster of how to climb the mountain
on fur-covered skis, you can count on the experienced mountain
guides.

bei den Bergtouren für Sicherheit und beraten jeden einzelnen
Interessierten eingehend. Dazu planen die lokalen Kenner mit ihren

barsten Plätze in Ischgl. Wenn man einen Bergführer bucht, kann
das dazu benötigte Sicherheits-Equipment auch dort ausgeliehen
werden: LVS, Schaufel, Sonde etc...

during the mountain tours and providing in-depth advice to those
interested. The local experts plan the tour with customers and
take them to some of Paznaun’s most beautiful spots. If you book a
mountain guide, you can also hire the required safety equipment
there: an avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe etc...

Every Friday or daily private guide, on request
Experience the beauty of the mountains with certified mountain
and ski guides. Learn how to tackle ascents and descents safely in
unsecured ski regions. Take advantage of the experience of the
guides at the Ischgl Ski School and take your first steps out into the
untouched deep snow.

WINTERWANDERN
Für die ruhigen Momente im Paznaun bietet sich besonders eine
Winterwanderung an. Ideal, um sich Pausen vom Alltag zu gönnen,
um Gedanken fliegen zu lassen und um zu entspannen. Animierend
sind dabei das langsame Gehtempo und die beschauliche Natur,
herrlich eingehüllt in die weiße Pracht. Über 60 km zählt das Netz

WINTER HIKING
A winter walk is the perfect way to enjoy some peaceful moments
in Paznaun. The ideal way to take a break from everyday life, let your
thoughts run free and relax. The slow pace of walking and tranquil
natural environment, shrouded in white, are stimulating. The
network of hiking trails extends over 60 km and runs from an altitude
of 1,060 m up to 2,036 m. The Swiss Samnaun region can also be
explored on foot or else you can savour the nature and tranquillity in
one of Paznaun’s tributary valleys, far away from any stress or noise.

LANGLAUFEN
Ein einmaliges Angebot mit ausgezeichnetem Service und bester
Qualität findet jeder bei einem Langlaufurlaub im Paznaun. Dazu ge-
hören ebenfalls die serviceorientierte Infrastruktur beim Einstieg in
die Hauptloipe sowie Langlaufkurse für Anfänger, Fortgeschrittene
und sportlich ambitionierte Langläufer. Die Angebote der qualitäts-
geprüften Langlaufunterkünfte liefern die optimale Grundlage für
einen Urlaub auf und abseits der Loipe.
Beim Gesamtloipennetz von 73 km erstrecken sich alle Varianten für
Langläufer durch die winterliche Landschaft des Paznaun bis hinauf
auf 2.036 Meter Höhe. Neben der klassischen Spur steht natürlich
auch ein breiter Platz zum Skaten bereit. Und das Beste daran – die
Benützung des Loipennetzes im Paznaun ist kostenlos.

Übersichtskarte sind sämtliche Langlaufloipen beschrieben und
dargestellt. Dieser Folder gibt es kostenlos in den Infobüros des

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
Cross-country holidays in Paznaun are based on a unique offer with
exceptional service and top quality. This includes service-oriented
infrastructure for accessing the main trail and cross-country courses
for beginners, advanced skiers and ambitious cross-country skiers.
The offers provided by the quality tested cross-country establis-
hments form the optimal basis for a holiday on and off the cross-
country trails.
The 73 km network of trails provides cross-country skiers with
the opportunity to practise all styles in the winter landscapes of
Paznaun and up to an altitude of 2,036m. In addition to classic style,
there is also a wide skating area available. And best of all – use of the
cross-country trail in Paznaun is free.
All of the trails are described and depicted in the “Cross-Country &
Winter Walks“ folder complete with a “Kompass“ map. This folder can
be obtained free-of-charge from the tourist information offices or
direct from your accommodation establishment.

Mit dem neuen Ischgl Skyfly gleiten Wagemutige auf einem Drahtseil,
50 Meter über dem Boden hängend, talwärts Richtung Ischgl. Auf der
2 Kilometer langen Strecke werden Geschwindigkeiten von bis zu 85 km/h
erreicht. Zwei parallel verlaufende Seilspuren führen von der Mittelstation
Silvrettabahn A1 (1683 m) über zwei Zwischenstationen und drei Teil-
strecken auf die Dachterrasse der Talstation der 3-S Pardatschgratbahn
A3 (1376 m). Somit können 2 Personen nebeneinander ins Tal „fliegen“.
Die zweite Teilstrecke der neuen Attraktion führt unter der Hängebrücke
„Kitzloch“ und der „Fimbabahn“ durch die spektakuläre Kitzlochklamm.
Adrenalin und Abenteuererlebnis sind garantiert. Die Skiausrüstung kann

Daredevils can try out the new Ischgl Skyfly and glide back down the
valley towards Ischgl, 500 m above ground, suspended from a cable.
Speeds of up to 85 km/h are reached along the 2 km trail. Two parallel
cables run from the Silvrettabahn A1 middle station (1683 m) via two
intermediate stations and three route sections to the roof terrace of the
3-S Pardatschgratbahn A3 valley station (1376 m). This means that two
people can “fly“ back down into the valley alongside one another. The
second section of the route at this new attraction runs beneath the
“Kitzloch“ suspension bridge and “Fimbabahn“ through the spectacular
Kitzlochklamm gorge. Adrenaline and adventure are guaranteed! Ski
equipment can be transported during the “flight“.

Vor allem Ischgl hat sich in den letzten Jahren als Tirols Gourmet-
hochburg etabliert und unterstreicht damit ihre kulinarische Kern-
kompetenz. Dass in Ischgl konstant auf Top-Niveau gekocht wird,
zeigen die Ergebnisse der Gourmetführer „Gault Millau“ und „Guide
Á la Carte“. Die 1.600 Seelengemeinde im Tiroler Paznaun wurde
von „Gault Millau“ zuletzt mit 18 Hauben in acht Restaurants aus-
gezeichnet. Auch der einflussreiche „Guide Á la Carte“ hat dieses Jahr
mit seinen Sternen nicht gespart und das hohe Kulinarik-Niveau in
Ischgl bestätigt.
Der Paznauner Almkäse ist das genussvolle Aushängeschild der
Region und findet sich auf vielen Speisekarten wieder. Der
Paznauner Almkäse wird ausschließlich aus roher hartkäserei-
tauglicher Tal- und Almmilch hergestellt. Der reife, hellgelbe Käse
mit seiner erbsengroßen Lochung schmeckt mild aromatisch bis
pikant. KäseliebhaberInnen können diese regionale Spezialität nach
einer Reifezeit von sechs Wochen als außergewöhnliches Käse-
Schmankerl genießen.

Over the last few years, Ischgl has established itself as Tyrol’s gour-
met stronghold, thereby emphasising its core culinary expertise. The
cuisine available in Ischgl is always of the highest quality, as shown
by the entries in the “Gault Millau“ and “Guide A la Carte“ gour-
met guides. This community of 1,600 inhabitants in Paznaun, Tyrol
was recently awarded 18 toques across eight restaurants by “Gault
Millau“. The influential “Guide A la Carte“ also did not hold back on
stars this year, confirming Ischgl’s top level of cuisine.
Paznaun’s Alpine cheese is the region’s gourmet flagship and can
be found on many menus. Paznaun’s Alpine cheese is made solely
from raw milk suitable for hard cheese production and sourced from
the valleys and meadows. The mature, light yellow cheese with pea-
sized holes has a mildly aromatic to spiced flavour. Cheese lovers can
sample this regional speciality and exceptional cheese delicacy after
6 weeks of maturing.

Winterwanderwege ISCHGL
Winterwanderweg Ischgl
Der Winterwanderweg Ischgl ist ideal für eine erste Erkundungstour
oder für etwas ruhigere Tage im Winterurlaub. Mit 5 km und flacher
Routenführung überfordert sie nicht und man hat trotzdem das
gute Gefühl etwas getan zu haben. Der Wanderweg startet direkt
beim Silvretta Parkplatz und ist mit einem Schild (Loipeneinstieg)
gekennzeichnet. Anfangs spaziert man ein kurzes Stück direkt neben
der Loipe bevor der Weg im Weiler Paznaun auf einen separaten Weg
abzweigt. Stets flach geht es 2,5 km lang in Richtung Mathon.
Beim Recyclinghof angekommen, stehen folgende Alternativen zur
Wahl: entweder man wandert denselben Weg retour (Gesamtlänge
der Wanderung 5 km) oder man nimmt den Bus zurück nach Ischgl
oder man wandert weiter in Richtung Galtür, wo man Anschluss zum
Winterwanderweg Mathon hat.

Winter Hiking Trail Ischgl
The Ischgl winter hiking trail is perfect as an initial explorative tour
or something for more leisurely days when on winter holidays. With
5 km of level routing, it is not overly demanding yet leaves you with
the feeling of actually having done something. The hiking trail starts
right by the Silvretta parking lot and is marked with a sign (entry
point to cross-country skiing trail). In the beginning, a short walk
leads directly along the cross-country skiing trail before the route
branches off onto a separate trail in the hamlet of Paznaun. The trail
continues across level terrain for 2,5 km in direction of Mathon.
Having arrived at the recycling yard, the following options are
available: either take the same trail back (total length of hike 5 km) or
take the bus back to Ischgl or continue hiking towards Galtür, where
you can get on the Mathon winter hiking trail.

Winterwanderweg Ischgl - Mathon
Der 6 km lange Winterwanderweg Mathon kann gut mit dem
Winterwanderweg von Ischgl aus kombiniert werden. Alternativ
nimmt man den Bus bis zum Einstieg. Gleich zum Start geht es ein
ganz kurzes Stück bergauf – der Weg wird dann aber sofort wieder
flach und man wandert auf der Galerie und später in Waldnähe nach
Mathon. Nach dem Ortsende überquert man den Valzurbach und
spaziert zum unterhalb gelegenen Wildpark. Hier bietet sich die
Möglichkeit einer Einkehr oder die der Rückkehr mit dem Bus.
Andernfalls wandert man nun auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite
des Trisanna Baches zurück nach Ischgl. Fast ausschließlich flach
geht es entlang des Ufers bis zum Startpunkt zurück. Der Weg kann
natürlich auch in umgekehrter Reihenfolge gewandert werden.

Winter Hiking Trail Ischgl - Mathon
This 6 km long winter hiking trail can be combined with the winter
hiking trail from Ischgl. Alternatively, take the bus to the entry point.
The route immediately starts off with a short climb, but then levels
out again and continues on the gallery and then close to the forest to
Mathon. When exiting the village, cross the Valzur stream and walk
to the wildlife park located below. Here you can stop off at the inn or
take a bus for the return trip.
Alternatively, hike along the now opposite side of Trisanna stream
back to Ischgl. The route proceeds almost exclusively level along the
banks back to the starting point. Of course, the route can also be
hiked in the opposite direction.
