1.1 Funktion
Die vorliegende Anleitung liefert Ihnen die wichtigsten Informationen
für den Einsatz von Grenzschaltern.

1.2 Geltungsbereich
Die Anleitung gilt für Grenzschalter VEGAPOINT 11, 21, 31 mit
hygienischen Prozessanschlüssen und Dichtungen. Die Anschlüsse
und Dichtungen sind in der Herstellererklärung in diesem Dokument
aufgelistet.

2 3-A-/EHEDG-Standards - Bedeutung und
Umsetzung
Bedeutung von 3-A Die 3-A Sanitary Standards Incorporation (SSI) in den USA legt Stan-
dards für Werkstoffe, konstruktive Ausführung und Herstellmethoden
von Komponenten für hygienische Prozesse fest. Die Organisation
überwacht zudem die Einhaltung des hygienischen Designs dieser
Komponenten. Die Konformität wird durch eine unabhängige dritte
Instanz CCE (Certified Conformance Evaluator) geprüft. Bei Konfor-
mität vergibt die 3-A SSI eine Symbollizenz für das 3-A-Logo.
Bedeutung von EHEDG Die European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG) ist ein
Konsortium aus Geräte- und Lebensmittelherstellern, Zulieferern der
Lebensmittelindustrie, Forschungsinstituten und Universitäten. Haupt-
ziel ist die Förderung sicherer Lebensmittel durch Verbesserung
von Hygienetechnik und -design in allen Bereichen der Lebensmit-
telherstellung. Hierzu hat die EHEDG Guidelines u. a. zur Hygie-
neauslegung von Maschinen und Anlagen sowie der Infrastruktur der
Lebensmittelproduktion erstellt.
Einsatz von Geräten nach Für den Einsatz im Lebensmittelbereich nach EHEDG bzw. 3-A gelten
EHEDG und 3-A spezielle Anforderungen gegenüber Standardanwendungen. Dies gilt
insbesondere für:
• Ausführung des Gehäuses (z. B. leichte Reinigbarkeit)
• Aufbau des Prozessanschlusses (z. B. Sichtbarkeit möglicher
Leckagen)
• Dichtungen (z. B. nach FDA- und EG1935/2004, bzw. beständig
gegenüber Prozess- und Reinigungsmedien)
• Einbauposition am Behälter (z. B. Selbstdrainage)
• Reinigung und Wartung (z. B. Intervalle, Methoden)
Die EHEDG- bzw. 3-A-Logos weisen nach, dass die Geräteausfüh-
rung geprüft und zertifiziert wurde. Das Zertifikat bezieht sich immer
auf eine Kombination von Sensor und Prozessanschluss.

3 Geräteausführungen
Prozessanschlüsse Für Einsätze nach den 3-A-/EHEDG-Standards sind ausschließlich
die in Kapitel "Herstellererklärung" aufgeführten Prozessanschlüsse
zu verwenden.
Sie erfüllen die hygienischen Anforderungen aus den EHEDG Doc. 2,
Doc. 8, Doc. 10 und den 3-A-Standard Nr. 74 und Nr. 50, einschließ-
lich der Forderung nach Eigendrainage für den Fall eines Lecks in der
Gerätedichtung.

4 Montage
Für eine Messstelle nach EHEDG- bzw. 3-A-Standard sind folgende
Punkte zu beachten:
• Alle Bestandteile der Messstelle müssen 3-A-/EHEDG-konform
sein
• Die Montageposition muss die Selbstdrainage des Sensors sowie
die Bohrung zur Leckageerkennung ermöglichen
• Die Bohrung zur Leckageerkennung im Prozessanschluss muss
nach Montage sichtbar sein und möglichst senkrecht nach unten
weisen
• Schweißverbindungen müssen eine Oberflächenrautiefe
Ra ≤ 0,8 µm aufweisen
• Einschweißstutzen müssen frontbündig mit der Innenseite des
Behälters eingeschweißt werden. Für hygienegerechtes Schwei-
ßen ist die Schweißnorm AWS D18.3 zu beachten.
Montageposition Vermeiden Sie in waagerechten Rohrleitungen die Montage im
oberen oder unteren Bereichs des Rohrs (siehe Ausschluss und
Begrenzung in der nachfolgenden Abbildung).
Im oberen Bereich des Rohrs können sich durch Lufteinschlüsse
Hohlräume bilden.
In waagerechten Rohrleitungen ist deshalb eine seitliche Montage
empfehlenswert.
Der Sensor ist für eine CIP-Reinigung optimiert und muss zur Reini-
gung nicht ausgebaut werden.
Wird der Sensor manuell gereinigt, dürfen keine Werkzeuge verwen-
det werden, die die PEEK-Oberfläche der Sensorspitze beschädigen.
Achten Sie bei der Wahl der Montage darauf, dass der Sensor selbst-
entleerend positioniert ist.

Achten Sie bei senkrechten Rohrleitungen darauf, den Sensor mög-
lichst bündig einzubauen.

Hygieneadapter Stellen Sie bei der Montage des Hygieneadapters sicher, dass die
Bohrung zur Leckageerkennung im Prozessanschluss am tiefstmögli-
chen Punkt liegt. Siehe folgende Abbildung:

Montage des Sensors Gehen Sie zur Sensormontage wie folgt vor:
1. Vermeiden Sie bei der Montage des Sensors Verunreinigungen.
Nehmen Sie den Sensor deshalb erst kurz vor der Montage aus
seiner Verpackung und prüfen Sie insbesonders die Sensorspitze
auf Beschädigungen.
2. Fetten Sie das Gewinde des Sensors dünn mit einem geeigneten
Fett ein (z. B. NSF H1 oder entsprechend FDA 21 CFR 178.3570).
3. Schrauben Sie den Sensor vorsichtig von Hand ein.
Der VEGAPOINT 11, 21, 31 in Hygieneausführung dichtet elasto-
merfrei ohne spezielle Dichtung im Bereich der Sensorspitze.
Halten Sie deshalb das vorgeschriebene Drehmoment unbedingt
ein. Unterhalb des Sechskants bleibt dadurch ein kleiner Spalt (1)
[Abb. 4].

Hinweis:
Die Dichtwirkung des Sensors ist beim ersten Einschrauben optimal.
Daher empfehlen wir, den Sensor nicht zu Testzwecken einzuschrau-
ben.
Prüfen Sie die Sensorspitze vor weiterem Einschrauben auf Be-
schädigungen wie Kerben oder Rillen. Ersetzen Sie den Sensor im
Zweifelsfall gegen einen neuen.
4. Ziehen Sie den Sensor am Sechskant mit einem Drehmoment
von 20 Nm (14.75 lbf ft) fest.
5. Die Sensormontage ist damit abgeschlossen.

5 Instandhaltung, Reinigung, Bestimmungs-
gemäßer Gebrauch
Instandhaltung Es liegt in der Verantwortung des Anwenders, den hygienisch
einwandfreien Zustand des Sensors über seine Nutzungsdauer
sicherzustellen.
Undichtigkeiten bei einer Dichtung stellen ein hygienisches Risiko
dar. Um dies zu vermeiden sollen sie regelmäßig auf Beschädigun-
gen geprüft werden. Sensor und Prozessadapter bilden eine Einheit
und sollten bei einer Inspektion gemeinsam ausgebaut werden. Beim
Sensor ist die zugängliche Oberfläche sorgfältig zu reinigen.
Der Anwender richtet die Intervalle nach den Prozessbedingungen
aus.
Bei Varianten mit einer O-Ringdichtung empfehlen wir einen Aus-
tausch nach 5000 Betriebsstunden, mindestens einmal im Jahr oder
nach 500 Sterilisations- bzw. Reinigungszyklen. Beim O-Ringwechsel
(relevant für Prozessanschluss AF) ist darauf zu achten keine metalli-
schen Werkzeuge zu verwenden.
O-Ringwechsel Für einen ordnungsgemäßen Wechsel des O-Rings sollten folgende
Dinge in angegebener Reihenfolge durchgeführt werden (relevant für
VEGAPOINT mit Prozessanschluss AF):
• O-Ring von Hand aus der Dichtungsnut drücken bzw. schieben
• Reinigen der Dichtungsnut mit einem geeigneten Reinigungsuten-
sil, welches das Metall nicht beschädigt
• Prüfen, ob die gereinigte Dichtungsnut frei von Beschädigungen
ist
• Prüfen, ob der neue O-Ring die richtige Größe besitzt und frei von
Beschädigungen und Rissen ist
• Einfetten der Dichtungsnut und des O-Rings mit einem geeig-
neten Fett (z. B. Fette, welche nach NSF H1 oder entsprechend
FDA 21 CFR 178.3570 zugelassen sind)
• Aufschieben des O-Rings
• Sitz des O-Rings kontrollieren und prüfen, ob der O-Ring ohne
Verdrillung in der Dichtungsnut sitzt
Für einen schnellen Wechsel der Dichtung empfehlen wir O-Ringe
vorzuhalten. Der EPDM O-Ring 70.10-02 von Angst & Pfister bei dem
Prozessanschluss AF besitzt die Maße 21,82 x 3,53 mm (VEGA-
Artikelnummer 2.28170).
Reinigung Der Sensor ist für die CIP-Reinigung optimiert und muss für die Reini-
gung nicht ausgebaut werden.
Beim Einbau in den Tank ist darauf zu achten, dass die Reinigungs-
armatur so positioniert wird, dass der Anschluss als auch der Sensor
vollständig benetzt und gereinigt werden kann.

Falls eine ausbaufreie Validierung nicht möglich ist, empfiehlt sich zur
Sicherstellung des Reinigungserfolges ein Ausbau.
Es liegt in der Verantwortung des Anwenders, die Beständigkeit des
Dichtungswerkstoffes sowie des Sensors gegenüber dem Produkt
EHEDG und 3-A, Einbau- und Reinigungsanleitung • VEGAPOINT 11, 21, 31 95 Instandhaltung, Reinigung, Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
und dem Reinigungsprozess sicherzustellen. Grundlage sind Bestän-
digkeitslisten sowie die technischen Daten des jeweiligen Sensors.
Sollte der Bereich hinter der Dichtung verschmutzt werden, ist dieser
Bereich mit einen geeigneten Reiniger einzuweichen und anschlie-
ßend mit einem geeinigten Reinigungsutensil, welches den Edelstahl
nicht beschädigt, zu reinigen.
Bestimmungsgemäßer Salzige und saure Lebensmittel wie z. B. Würzkonzentrate, sowie
Gebrauch stark oxidierende oder chlorhaltige Reinigungsmittel, insbesondere
bei hohen Temperaturen und längerer Einwirkzeit können auch bei
Edelstahl zu Korrosion führen.
Die medienberührende Sensorspitze ist aus PEEK Victrex 450G. Das
Material ist geeignet auch für häufige Dampfsterilisation und hydro-
lysebeständig gegen Wasser, Wasserdampf und Salzwasser. Details
zur Beständigkeit finden Sie auf der Internetseite der Firma Victrex.
Zur Aufrechterhaltung der hygienischen Integrität ist eine regelmäßi-
ge visuelle Inspektion der medienberührenden Teile und gegebenen-
falls ein Austausch zu empfehlen.

These instructions apply to limit switches VEGAPOINT 11, 21, 31 with

2 3-A-/EHEDG-Standards - Meaning and
implementation
Meaning of 3-A 3-A Sanitary Standards Incorporation (SSI) in the USA sets standards
for materials, design and manufacturing methods for components
used in hygienic processes. The organization also monitors compli-
ance with the hygienic design of these components. Conformity is
verified by an independent third party CCE (Certified Conformance
Evaluator). In the case of conformity, 3-A SSI issues a symbol license
for the 3-A logo.
Meaning of EHEDG The European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG) is
a consortium of equipment and food manufacturers, food industry
suppliers, research institutes and universities. The main objective is
to promote safe food by improving hygiene technology and design in
all areas of food production. To this end, the EHEDG has drawn up
guidelines for the hygienic design of machines and plants as well as
the infrastructure of food production.
Use of instruments ac- For use in the food sector according to EHEDG or 3-A, special
cording to EHEDG and requirements apply compared to standard applications. This applies
3-A in particular to:
• Version of the housing (e.g. easy cleaning)
• Configuration of the process fitting (e.g. visibility of possible leak-
age)
• Seals (e.g. according to FDA and EG1935/2004, or resistant to
process and cleaning media)
• Installation position on the vessel (e.g. self-drainage)
• Cleaning and maintenance (e.g. intervals, methods)
The EHEDG and 3-A logos prove that the device version has been
tested and certified. The certificate always refers to a combination of
sensor and process fitting.

3 Instrument versions
Process fittings Only process fittings listed in chapter " Manufacturer declaration" may
be used for installations according to 3-A/EHEDG standards.
They meet the hygienic requirements of EHEDG Doc. 2, Doc. 8, Doc.
10 and the 3-A Standard No. 74 and No. 50, including the requirement
for self-drainage in the event of a leak in the device seal.

4 Mounting
Note the following items for a measuring point according to EHEDG
or 3-A standard:
• All parts of the measuring point must comply with 3-A/EHEDG
• The mounting position must allow the self-drainage of the sensor
as well as the hole for leakage detection
• The hole for leakage detection in the process fitting must be visible
after mounting and possibly point vertically downward
• Welded connections must have a surface roughness Ra ≤ 0.8 µm
• Welding sockets must be welded flush with the inside of the
vessel. The welding standard AWS D18.3 must be observed for
hygienic welding.
Installation position In horizontal pipelines, avoid mounting in the upper or lower area of
the pipe (see exclusion and limitation in the figure below).
In the upper part of the pipe cavities can form due to air inclusions.
In horizontal pipelines, lateral installation is therefore recommended.
The sensor is optimized for CIP cleaning and does not have to be
removed for cleaning.
If the sensor is cleaned manually, do not use tools that damage the
PEEK surface of the sensor tip.
When selecting the mounting, make sure that the sensor is positioned
so that it empties itself.

Hygienic adapter When installing the hygienic adapter, make sure that the hole for leak-
age detection in the process fitting is at the lowest possible point. See
the figure below:

Mounting the sensor For sensor mounting proceed as follows:
1. Avoid contamination when mounting the sensor.
Therefore, only remove the sensor from its packaging shortly be-
fore mounting and, in particular, check the sensor tip for damage.
2. Grease the thread of the sensor thinly with a suitable grease (e.g.
NSF H1 or according to FDA 21 CFR 178.3570).
3. Screw in the sensor carefully by hand.
The VEGAPOINT 11, 21, 31 in hygienic version seals elastomer-
free without special seal in the area of the sensor tip.
It is therefore essential that you observe the prescribed torque.
This leaves a small gap (1) below the hexagon [Fig. 4].

Note:
The sealing effect of the sensor is optimal when first screwed in. We
therefore recommend not screwing in the sensor for test purposes.
Before further screwing in, check the sensor tip for damage such as
notches or grooves. If in doubt, replace the sensor with a new one.
4. Tighten the sensor on the hexagon with a torque of 20 Nm
(14.75 lbf ft).

Maintenance It is the responsibility of the user to ensure the hygienically safe condi-
tion of the sensor during its entire service life.
Leaks in a gasket represent a hygienic risk. To avoid this, they should
be checked regularly for damage. Sensor and process adapter form
a unit and should be removed together during an inspection. The ac-
cessible surface of the sensor must be carefully cleaned.
The user plans the intervals according to the process conditions.
For variants with an O-ring seal, we recommend replacement after
5000 operating hours, at least once a year or after 500 sterilisation
or cleaning cycles. When replacing the O-ring (relevant for process
fitting AF), do not use any metallic tools.
O-ring change For proper replacement of the O-ring, the following should be carried
out in the sequence indicated (relevant for VEGAPOINT with process
fitting AF):
• Push the O-ring out of the seal groove manually
• Clean the seal groove with a suitable cleaning utensil that does
not damage the metal
• Check that the cleaned seal groove is free of damage
• Check that the new O-ring is of the correct size and free from dam-
age and cracks
• Grease the seal groove and the O-ring with a suitable grease (e.g.
greases approved according to NSF H1 or FDA 21 CFR 178.3570)
• Sliding on the O-ring
• Check the position of the O-ring and make sure that the O-ring is
fitted in the seal groove without twisting
We recommend using O-rings for a quick change of the seal. The
EPDM O-ring 70.10-02 from Angst & Pfister for process fitting AF
measures 21.82 x 3.53 mm (VEGA article number 2.28170).
Cleaning The sensor is optimized for CIP cleaning and does not have to be
removed for the cleaning.
When installing in the tank, make sure that the cleaning fitting is posi-
tioned so that the connection as well as the sensor can be completely
wetted and cleaned.
If a validation without removal is not possible, it is recommended to
remove the unit to ensure successful cleaning.
It is the responsibility of the user to ensure the resistance of the
sealing material and the sensor against the product and the cleaning
process. This is based on resistance lists and the technical data of the
respective sensor.
If the area behind the seal becomes dirty, soak this area with a suit-
able cleaner and then clean it with a suitable cleaning utensil that

does not damage the stainless steel.
Intended use Salty and acidic foodstuffs such as seasoning concentrates, as well
as strongly oxidizing or chlorine-containing cleaning agents, espe-

cially at high temperatures and longer exposure times, can also lead
to corrosion of stainless steel.
The sensor tip in contact with the medium is made of PEEK Victrex
450G. The material is also suitable for frequent steam sterilization
and hydrolysis resistant to water, steam and salt water. Details on the
resistance can be found on the Victrex website.
In order to maintain hygienic integrity, regular visual inspection of the
parts in contact with the medium and, if necessary, replacement are
recommended.

implémentation
Signification de 3-A La 3-A Sanitary Standards Incorporation (SSI) aux États-Unis définit
des normes pour les matériaux, l'exécution de construction et les
méthodes de fabrication des composants pour les process hygié-
niques. L'organisation surveille en outre le respect de la conception
hygiénique de ces composants. La conformité est contrôlée par une
instance CCE (Certified Conformance Evaluator) tiers indépendante.
Si la conformité est données, la 3-A SSI octroie une licence de sym-
bole pour le logo 3-A.
Signification d'EHEDG Le European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG) est un
consortium de fabricants d'appareils et de denrées alimentaires, de
fournisseurs de l'industrie agroalimentaire, d'instituts de recherche
et d'universités. L'objectif principal est la promotion de denrées ali-
mentaires sûres par l'amélioration de la technique et de la conception
de l'hygiène dans tous les domaines de la fabrication de produits
alimentaires. L'EHEDG a rédigé des lignes directrices entre autres
pour la conception hygiénique des machines et installations ainsi que
de l'infrastructure de la production agroalimentaire.
Mise en œuvre d'appa- Des exigences spéciales s'appliquent pour la mise en œuvre dans
reils selon EHEDG et 3-A le domaine des denrées alimentaires selon EHEDG ou 3-A. Cela
concerne en particulier :
• La version du boîtier (par ex. bonne nettoyabilité)
• La structure du raccord process (par ex. visibilité des fuites poten-
tielles)
• Joints (par ex. selon FDA et EG1935/2004, ou résistants aux
produits de nettoyage et du process)
• La position de montage au niveau du réservoir (par ex. autodrai-
nage)
• Le nettoyage et la maintenance (par ex. périodicités, méthodes)
Les logos EHEDG ou 3-A prouvent que la version de l'appareil a été
contrôlée et certifiée. Le certificat se fonde toujours sur une combinai-
son de capteur et de raccord process.

Raccords process Pour les utilisations selon les normes 3-A/EHEDG, les raccords pro-
cess indiqués dans le chapitre " Déclaration du fabricant" doivent être
utilisés de manière standard.
Ils satisfont les exigences en matière d'hygiène d'EHEDG, doc. 2,
doc. 8 et doc.10 ainsi que de la norme 3-A- N° 74 et N° 50, y compris
l'impératif de drainage propre en cas de fuite dans le joint de l'appa-
reil.

4 Montage
Pour une voie de mesure selon la norme 3-A ou EHEDG, les points
suivants doivent être respectés :
• Tous les composants de la voie de mesure doivent être conformes
à 3-A/EHEDG
• La position de montage doit permettre l'autodrainage du capteur
ainsi que le perçage pour la reconnaissance de fuites
• Après le montage, le perçage pour la reconnaissance de fuites
doit être visible et orienté verticalement vers le bas
• Les raccords soudés doivent avoir une profondeur de rugosité de
surface Ra ≤ 0,8 µm
• Les raccords à souder doivent être soudés arasants sur le côté
intérieur de la cuve. Respecter obligatoirement la norme de sou-
dage AWS D18.3 pour souder dans le respect de l'hygiène.
Position de montage Évitez le montage dans les conduites tubulaires horizontales dans
la zone supérieure ou inférieure du tube (voir Exclusion et limitation
dans l'illustration suivante).
Un espace vide peut se former dans la zone supérieure du tube du
fait des inclusions d'air.
C'est pourquoi il est recommandé de procéder à un montage latéral
dans les conduites tubulaires horizontales.
Le capteur est optimisé pour un nettoyage CIP et ne doit pas être
déposé pour le nettoyage.
Si le capteur est nettoyé manuellement, il est interdit d'utiliser des
outils qui endommagent la surface PEEK de la pointe du capteur.
Lors du montage, veillez que le capteur soit positionné de manière à
se vider de lui-même.

Adaptateur hygiénique Lors du montage de l'adaptateur hygiénique, assurez-vous que l'alé-
sage pour la détection de fuite se trouve au point le plus bas possible
du raccord process. Reportez-vous à l'illustration suivante :

Montage du capteur Pour le montage du capteur, procédez de manière suivante :
1. Évitez les impuretés lors du montage du capteur.
C'est pourquoi, sortez le capteur de son emballage seulement
juste avant le montage et contrôlez en particulier si la pointe du
capteur présente des dommages.
2. Graissez le filetage du capteur finement avec une graisse adap-
tée (par ex. NSF H1 ou conforme à FDA 21 CFR 178.3570).
3. Vissez le capteur avec précaution à la main.
Le VEGAPOINT 11, 21, 31 en version hygiénique étanchéifie
sans élastomère et sans joint spécial dans la zone de la pointe du
capteur.
C'est pourquoi il est absolument impératif de respecter le couple
prescrit. Il reste ainsi une légère fente (1) en dessous de l'hexa-

Remarque:
L'éfficacité d'étanchétié du capteur est optimale lors du premier
vissage. C'est pourquoi nous recommandons de ne pas visser le
capteur à des fins de test.
Contrôlez la pointe du capteur avant de le visser pour détecter tout
dommage, tel qu'une entaille ou des rainures. En cas de doute, rem-
placez le capteur par un neuf.
4. Serrez le capteur sur l'hexagone à un couple de 20 Nm
(14.75 lbf ft).
5. Vous avez terminé le montage du capteur.

Entretien L'utilisateur est responsable d'assurer l'état hygiénique irréprochable
du capteur pendant toute sa durée d'utilisation.
Les fuites au niveau d'un joint constituent un risque hygiénique. Pour
l'éviter, il est nécessaire de les soumettre régulièrement à un contrôle
d'endommagement. Le capteur et l'adaptateur process constituent
une unité et doivent être démontés ensemble pour une inspection.
Nettoyer soigneusement la surface accessible sur le capteur.
L'utilisateur adapte les périodicités selon les conditions process.
Sur les versions avec un joint torique, nous recommandons un rem-
placement après 5000 heures de service, au moins une fois par an ou
après 500 cycles de stérilisation ou nettoyage. Lors du remplacement
du joint torique (significatif pour le raccord process AF), il convient de
veiller à ne pas utiliser d'outils métalliques.
Remplacement du joint Pour un remplacement correct du joint torique, les opérations sui-
torique vantes doivent être effectuées dans l'ordre indiqué (pertinent pour
VEGAPOINT avec raccord process AF) :
• Appuyer sur ou pousser le joint torique hors de la rainure d'étan-
chéité à la main
• Nettoyer la rainure d'étanchéité avec un outil de nettoyage appro-
prié qui n'endommage pas le métal
• Contrôler si la rainure d'étanchéité nettoyée est exempte de
dommages
• Contrôler si le nouveau joint torique présente les bonnes dimen-
sions et s'il est exempt de dommages et de fissures
• Graisser la rainure d'étanchéité et le joint torique avec une graisse
appropriée (par ex. des graisses autorisées selon NSF H1 ou
selon FDA 21 CFR 178.3570)
• Insertion du joint torique
• Contrôler le logement du joint torique et vérifier si le joint torique
est logé dans la rainure d'étanchéité sans torsion
Nous recommandons de conserver en stock des joints toriques afin
de pouvoir procéder au remplacement rapide du joint. Les dimen-
sions du joint torique en EPDM 70.10-02 d'Angst & Pfister sur le
raccord process AF sont 21,82 x 3,53 mm (référence VEGA 2.28170).
Nettoyage Le capteur est optimisé pour le nettoyage CIP et ne doit pas être
déposé pour le nettoyage.
Lors du montage dans la cuve, il convient de veiller à positionner la
ferrure de nettoyage de telle manière qu'aussi bien le raccordement
que le capteur puissent être totalement enduits et nettoyés.
Au cas où une validation sans dépose n'est pas possible, il est

recommandé de procéder à la dépose pour assurer le succès du
nettoyage.
Il est du ressort de la responsabilité de l'utilisateur d'assurer la résis-
tance du matériau du joint ainsi que du capteur vis-à-vis du produit et

du process de nettoyage. Des listes de résistance ainsi que les carac-
téristiques techniques du capteur respectif en constituent la base.
Si la zone derrière le joint devait être encrassée, la tremper avec un
détergent approprié et ensuite la nettoyer avec un ustensile de net-
toyage adapté qui n'endommage pas l'acier inoxydable.
Utilisation conforme Les denrées alimentaires salées et acides, comme par ex. les
concentrés d'épices ainsi que les détergents fortemetn oxydant
ou contenant du chlore peuvent provoquer la corrosion de l'acier
inoxydable, en particulier à hautes températures et en cas de durée
d'action prolongée.
La pointe du capteur en contact avec le produit est en PEEK Victrex
450G. Cette matière est appropriée aussi pour une stérilisation
fréquente à la vapeur et résistant à l'hydrolyse contre l'eau, la vapeur
d'eau et l'eau salée. Vous trouverez les détails relatifs à la résistance
sur la page Internet de la société Victrex.
Il est recommandé de procéder à un contrôle visuel régulier des
pièces en contact avec le produit et le cas échéant de les remplacer
pour maintenir l'intégrité hygiénique.

La instrucción se aplica para interruptores límites VEGAPOINT 11,
21, 31 con conexiones a proceso y juntas higiénicas. Las conexiones
y las junta aparecen en la declaración del fabricante en el presente

2 Normas 3-A-/EHEDG - significado e
implementación
Significado de 3-A 3-A Sanitary Standards Incorporation (SSI) en los EE.UU. establece
normas para materiales, diseño y métodos de fabricación de com-
ponentes utilizados en procesos higiénicos. La organización también
supervisa el cumplimiento del diseño higiénico de estos componen-
tes. La conformidad es comprobada por un organismo independiente
CCE (Certified Conformance Evaluator). En caso de conformidad SSI
3-A emite una licencia de símbolo para el logotipo 3-A.
Significado de EHEDG European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG) es un
consorcio de fabricantes de equipos y alimentos, proveedores de la
industria alimentaria, institutos de investigación y universidades. Su
objetivo principal es la promoción de alimentos seguros mediante la
mejora de la tecnología y el diseño higiénico en todos los campos
de producción de alimentos. Para ello la EHEDG ha elaborado, entre
otras cosas, directrices de diseño higiénico de las máquinas y equi-
pos, así como de la infraestructura de producción de alimentos.
Empleo de equipos se- Para el uso en el sector alimentario según EHEDG o 3-A, se aplican
gún EHEDG y 3-A requisitos especiales en comparación con las aplicaciones estándar.
Esto se aplica en particular a:
• Versión de la carcasa (p. Ej. limpieza fácil)
• Estructura de las conexiones a proceso (p. Ej. visibilidad posibles
fugas)
• Juntas (p.ej. según FDA y EG1935/2004, o resistentes al proceso
y a los medios de limpieza)
• Posición de montaje en el depósito (p. Ej. auto-drenaje)
• Limpieza y mantenimiento (por ejemplo, intervalos, métodos)
Los logotipos EHEDG y 3-A demuestran que el diseño del dispositivo
ha sido comprobado y certificado. El certificado se refiere siempre a
una combinación de sensor y conexión de proceso.
