Traditionell werden jedes Jahr bei der Dacia Vienna Vikings Weihnachtsfeier die
MVP Trophäen an die wertvollsten Footballer, Cheerleader, Cheerdancer und
Flagfootballer übergeben. Ausgewählt von den entsprechenden Coaches wurden
die Awards dieses Jahr standesgemäß am Purple Carpet auf der Kunsteisbahn
Engelmann übergeben, wo die Wikinger X-Mas Party am Samstag, dem 8.
Dezember über die Bühne ging.

Wir gratulieren allen MVPs herzlichst und freuen uns bereits jetzt auf neue,
herausragende Leistungen unserer Athletinnen und Athleten 2019. Natürlich

Petra Hrouda ist nicht nur seit vielen Jahren im Elternverein der Football und
Cheer Akademie tätig, sondern betreut auch unsere Nachwuchs Teams am Feld.
Heuer hat sie sich mit unglaublichem Einsatz um die Aufenthaltsbewilligungen
unserer ausländischen Akademie Spielern übernommen. Dafür erhält sie die
höchste Auszeichnung, welche die Vikings zu vergeben haben: Den Vienna
Vikings Lifetime Award, der heuer erstmals ins Leben gerufen wurde.

Offense MVP: Bernhard Seikovits
Defense MVP: Luis Horvath
Team MVP: Leon Balogh

Head Coach Chris Calaycay: „Bernhard Seikovits has turned himself into the most
dominant WR in the AFL. Although it is only his second full season at the position
his work ethic and talent has made him our most dependable playmaker. In 2018
he led our team in yards and receptions and had a monster game in the Austrian

HC Chris Calaycay: „Luis Horvath was always in the right place at the right time
during the 2018 season. He led the League in interceptions with 7 picks which is
also the most interceptions by a Viking in one season since 2006 Neil Maki (9). He
has developed into one of the top defensive backs in Austria and as our Safety,

HC Chris Calaycay: „Leon Balogh had one of the most dominate defensive seasons
that I have seen since being with the Vikings. It rivaled even his own position
coach, Coach Latek. 15 Sacks in one season has got to be a record somewhere in
Austria, but I know that coaches feared and planned to stop our Vikings DE #1
and had very little success. Leon was our most outstanding player on the field and
his toughness and attitude was always felt in the huddle and on the sideline.“ /
