Natura 2000 und LIFE Natura 2000 and LIFE Natura 2000 Das LIFE Projekt Schreiadler-Schorfheide wurde umgesetzt im EU- Vogelschutzgebiet (SPA) Schorf- heide-Chorin. Das Gebiet ist Teil des europaweiten Natura 2000-Netzwerkes. Dieser Verbund aus EU-Vogelschutzgebieten und Fauna-Flora-Habitat-Gebieten (FFH) dient der langfristigen Sicherung der biologischen Vielfalt in der EU. Derzeit umfasst NATURA 2000 etwa 27.000 Gebiete mit einer Fläche, die über 18 % der Landfläche der EU-Mitgliedsstaaten entspricht. In Brandenburg sind 27 europäische Vogelschutzgebiete und 595 Fauna-Flora-Habitat-Gebiete gemeldet.
