Galtür 3000er zum Greifen nah
Hoch oben, eingebettet in die imposante Silvrettagruppe
liegt Galtür - die „geheimnisvolle“ Gemeinde unter den Ferien-

Galtür 3,000-metre peaks within reach
High up, nestled among the impressive Silvretta Alps lies Galtür -
the “secretive“ community among the holiday resorts in Austrian
Paznaun. Nowhere else are the glaciated giant mountains more

Kappl Makes children‘s eyes light up
Kappl is the perfect holiday destination for the whole family. The
Sunny Mountain Adventure Park offers action and relaxation at the
same time: a petting zoo, a playground and a disc golf course ensure

Alpine Museum and relax in the Kneipp facility. But Kappl also

See The family paradise
The municipality of See is an absolute family-hotspot in the Paznaun.
Action and fun for kids and youth take place of pride. But the idyllic
township at the entrance to the Paznaun offers much more: relaxing
times experiencing nature and culinary highlights for adults - a perfect
balance to the exciting range of entertainment options for the little
holidaymakers. The bathing lake in the centre of See makes children‘s
eyes light up. SUMMERHIGHLIGHTS include the Spongebob Show
Day by the bathing lake and the Spongebob Week with a varied

Paznaun Kulinarischer Jakobsweg
Hochgenuss – fünf Sterneköche auf über 2.000 m Seehöhe
Auf dem Kulinarischen Jakobsweg erwartet Wanderer, Biker und
Kulinarik-Fans eine faszinierende Bergkulisse und von fünf internationalen
Sterneköchen zusammengestellte Gerichte in uriger Hüttenatmosphäre.
Jeder der ausgezeichneten Kochprofis übernimmt für den Sommer die
Patenschaft für eine der fünf Hütten und kreiert ein exklusives Gericht
für die Sommerspeisekarte. Folgende Hütten nehmen am Kulinarischen
Jakobsweg teil:
• Jamtalhütte, Galtür
• Friedrichshafener Hütte, Ischgl
• Heidelberger Hütte, Ischgl
• Almstüberl, Kappl
• Ascherhütte, See
Mitte August gibt es beim traditionellen Hüttenfest noch einmal alle
fünf Gerichte auf einer Hütte zum Probieren. Hier kann man den eigenen
Favoriten aus den fünf Kreationen wählen.

Paznaun Culinary St. Jacob’s Way
Elevated dilatation– five award-winning chefs at more than
2,000 m above sea level
On the Culinary St. Jacob’s Way, hikers, bikers and gastronomy fans
can expect a fascinating alpine backdrop and dishes prepared by five
international celebrity chefs in a rustic lodge ambiance. Each one of the
award- winning professional chefs will assume the patronage for
one of the five huts for the duration of summer, and create an exclusive
dish for the summer menu. The following huts are taking part in the
Culinary St. Jacob’s Way:
• Jamtal Hut, Galtür
• Friedrichshafener Hut, Ischgl
• Heidelberger Hut, Ischgl
• Almstüberl, Kappl
• Ascher Hut, See
In mid-August, all five dishes can be sampled once more at the traditional
hut festival. Here you can pick your favourite from all five creations.

Drei Strecken – ein Ziel
Egal, ob Einsteiger oder Profi-Läufer – beim 8. Silvrettarun 3000, am
20. Juli 2019 gibt es mit drei Strecken auf drei verschiedenen Distan-
zen für jeden die richtige Herausforderung. Bereits am Vortag sorgt
der Silvretta Kids Run für jede Menge Action. Auch 2019 gehen pro

Three routes – one finish
No matter if beginner or pro-runner – at the 8th Silvrettarun 3000,
on 20th July 2019, there are three routes of varying length and levels
of difficulty, providing a suitable challenge for everyone. Already on
the day before, the Silvretta Kids Run makes for plenty of action. For
the 2019 run, € 5.- of each participant‘s entry fee will once again be
donated to the foundation Wings for Life.
• SMALL: 11.20 km | 306 EG
• MEDIUM: 29.90 km | 1,482 EG
• HARD: 42.195 km | 1,814 EG
Useful information:
• Group classification: the largest groups will be awarded at the
victory ceremony!
• Team-classification: 1 participant starts per route (1x Hard,

Kappl 15. Sunny Mountain Sommerfest
Für leuchtende Kinderaugen sorgt traditionell das Sunny Mountain
Sommerfest am 21. Juli 2019 auf der Dias Alpe in Kappl. Ein
spannungsgeladenes und abwechslungsreiches Programm wartet
auf Groß und Klein. Zunächst beginnt der Tag mit einer tradi-
tionellen Bergmesse und einem zünftigen Frühschoppen. Auf
die Kinder wartet ab 11:00 Uhr ein buntes Programm, gestaltet
durch den Kids-Club Paznaun, mit Hüpfburg, Flying Fox, Go-Cart-

Kappl 15th Sunny Mountain Summer Festival
The Sunny Mountain Summer Festival traditionally makes children‘s
eyes light up on 21st July 2019 on the Dias Alpe in Kappl. A
suspense-packed and varied programme awaits young and old. The
day kicks off with a traditional mountain mass and a hearty morning
get-together. Then from 11 am, children can expect a varied
programme, designed by the Kids-Club Paznaun, with a bouncy
castle, zip-line, go-cart course, magic show, make up station, bungee
trampoline and much more. Visitors will marvel at the drill by the
volunteer fire brigade directly by the Sunny Mountain Lake. So fun
and good entertainment are guaranteed at the Sunny Mountain
Summer Fair.

The hiking event for EVERYONE!
A week full of culture, exercise and pristine nature expects avid hiking
fans from 18th – 24th August 2019 at the Silvretta Ferwall Walk Week in
Galtür, Tyrol‘s only climatic health-resort.
For only € 99.-, entrants can try out hikes with local guides, guided tours

Paznauner Almkäse
Ein Fest für die ganze Familie und jeden Kulinarik-Fan bietet sich am

Genussregionspartner präsentieren ihre regionalen, traditionellen

“Genussregion Paznaun Alpine Cheese“
Festival grounds for the whole family and all culinary fans in Ischgl
on 31st August 2019. Numerous valley-based alpine dairies, farms
and the Genussregion partners present their regional, traditional
and tasty products at nearly 20 market stalls. This includes the
Paznaun alpine cheese, the showcase product of the Genussregion,
which is made exclusively from raw milk sourced from the valley and
alpine pastures, suitable for hard cheese production. The cows are
fed only the best grass, which of course has an effect on the quality
and special taste of the cheese products.
From 10:30, visitors get to enjoy an exciting programme amidst
culinary treats and musical highlights. With an extensive children’s

Galtür 25. Internationale Almkäseolympiade
In Galtür können am 28. September 2019 Besucher olympisches Flair
genießen. Bei der Internationalen Almkäseolympiade werden jedoch
keine sportlichen, sondern kulinarische Höchstleistungen geboten –
und das bereits zum 25. Mal. Sei dabei, wenn mehr als 150 Senner aus
vier Ländern ihren handgemachten Käse einer mehrköpfigen Fachjury
präsentieren. Ob hart, weich, mild oder nussig – die Qualitätskriterien für
die Teilnahme der Almkäseproduzenten sind streng. Die Jury bewertet
Geschmack, Konsistenz, Aussehen, Regionalität der Zutaten und die
Lochung der Käse. Wer jedoch auf ganzer Linie gewinnen will, muss auch
den Geschmack der Kleinen treffen und eine Kinderjury überzeugen. Sie
vergibt den begehrten „Dreikäsehoch“.
Man muss jedoch kein Jurymitglied sein, um bei der Almkäseolym-
piade Kostproben zu ergattern: Von 11:00 bis 18:00 Uhr können alle
Besucher im Sport- und Kulturzentrum Galtür eine Probe der gezeigten
Schmankerln ergattern und käuflich erwerben.

Galtür 25th International Alpine Cheese Olympics
Visitors to Galtür can enjoy Olympic flair on 28th September 2019.
However, the International Alpine Cheese Olympics does not offer sports
highlights, but culinary ones – and that for the 25th time already. Don‘t
miss out when more than 150 cheesemakers from four countries present
their handmade cheese to the expert jury. Whether hard, soft, mild or
nutty – there are strict quality criteria governing participation by the
Alpine cheese producers. The jury will primarily be assessing the flavour,
texture, appearance, regionality of ingredients and hole structure of the
cheese. But those who want to win all out also have to meet the taste of
the younger ones and impress a jury of children. They are the ones who
will be awarding the coveted ‘three cheese tall’ prize.
But you don‘t need to sit on the jury to get hold of some samples at the
Alpine Cheese Olympics: from 11 am to 6 pm, all visitors to the Galtür
sports and culture centre can get samples of the showcased treats and
buy their own favourites.

Motorrad Eldorado Paznaun: In Schräglage durch die Alpen
30 Alpenpässe in direkter Umgebung, Motorradtestcenter und eine

bis Oktober zum idealen Ausgangspunkt für herrliche Alpentouren.
Zu Hause am Fuß der Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße
Die Hausstrecke des Paznaun, die Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße ist das Tor

Motorbike Eldorado Paznaun: Cornering your way through the Alps
30 Alpine passes in the immediate vicinity, motorbike test centre and
perfect infrastructure for motorcyclists make the Paznaun the perfect
base for wonderful Alpine tours from May to October.
At home at the foot of the Silvretta High Alpine Road
The home circuit of the Paznaun, the Silvretta High Alpine Road, is the
gateway to the high mountains. Galtür to Partenen in Montafon, no less
then 34 hairpin bends are waiting to be negotiated over a total of 22.3 km.
Motorbike test centre
In the “High-Bike Testcenter Paznaun“, the only cross-brand motor-
bike test centre in Europe, bikers can rent the latest 2019 models
and test-drive them for a whole day from 1st June to 30th September.

Schräglagenkurs
Du möchtest das Kurvenfahren mit deinem Motorrad optimieren
und deinen Horizont erweitern in dem du ohne Angst bei trockenen
sowie nassen Bedingungen in voller Schräglage bremsen lernst? Mit
unseren speziell entwickelten, sturzsicheren Motorrädern kannst du
die Grenzen von Mensch und Maschine real erfahren. Im Verlauf des
Tages erreichst du folgende Ziele: Maximale Schräglage erleben &
Bremsen in Schräglage.
Wheelie-Training
Wolltest du schon immer einen Kindheitstraum wahr werden
lassen? Dann bist du im Wheelie-Training genau richtig. Du trai-
nierst mit einem Wheelie-Simulator deine Fähigkeiten bevor du
mit einem Spezialmotorrad mit Wheelie-Bar auf dem Hinterrad
über das Kursgelände fährst.

angle on dry and wet conditions? With our specially developed
motorbikes you can experience the limits of man and bike and re-
ach the following goals: experiencing maximum angle & braking in
maximum angle.
Wheelie-Training
You explore the beautiful region and want to make a childhood
dream come true as a change? Then you have to visit the wheelie
training. You train your skills first with a wheelie-simulator before
you drive on the rear wheel by yourself over the course area on a
special motorbike with a wheelie bar.

Paznauner Almkäse
Der Paznauner Almkäse ist das genussvolle Aushängeschild der
Region und findet sich auf vielen Speisekarten wieder. Der
Paznauner Almkäse wird ausschließlich aus roher hartkäserei-
tauglicher Tal- und Almmilch hergestellt. Der reife, hellgelbe Käse
mit seiner erbsengroßen Lochung schmeckt mild aromatisch bis
pikant. KäseliebhaberInnen können diese regionale Spezialität
nach einer Reifezeit von sechs Wochen als außergewöhnliches
Käse-Schmankerl genießen.

PAZNAUN ALPINE CHEESE
The Paznaun Alpine cheese is the delightful showpiece of the region
and is found on many a menu. The Paznaun Alpine cheese
is made exclusively from raw milk sourced from the valley and
alpine pastures, suitable for hard cheese production. The mature,
straw-yellow cheese with its pea-sized hole structure boasts an
aromatic to nutty flavour. Cheese lovers can enjoy this regional
speciality after a maturing period of six weeks as an extraordinary
cheese treat.

Im Paznauner Bauernmuseum und im Mathias-Schmid-Museum
bekommen Besucher einen Einblick in die Ursprünge des Paznaun. Im
Seilbahnmuseum erfährt man alles Wissenswerte zu Liftanlagen und
deren Entwicklung. Das Alpinarium Galtür lädt mit der Ausstellung
„Ganz Oben – Geschichten von Galtür und der Welt“ auf eine span-
nende Reise ins Tal, auf Berge, in ferne Länder und Zeiten ein.

Das Paznaun kann neben naturräumlichen Besonderheiten
auch eine Vielzahl kulturell und historisch interessanter Kapellen
vorweisen, welche sich über die zahlreichen Dörfer und Weiler
des Tales verteilen. Diese zahlreichen Kapellen wurden in einem
Führer zusammengefasst, welcher im Tourismusverband kostenlos
erhältlich ist.

Culturally, there is also plenty to discover in Paznaun.
In the Paznaun Peasant Museum and in the Mathias-Schmid-Muse-
um, visitors get an insight into the origins of the Paznaun. In the cab-
le car museum you‘ll learn all there is to know about lifts and their
evolution. The Alpinarium Galtür with its exhibition “At the very top
– stories of Galtür and the world“ invites you on an exciting journey
into the valley, onto the mountains, into faraway lands and times.
