Not only are you about to embark on an exciting and challenging journey at a new university, but for most of you, it is also an unfamiliar country altogether. You will get to know a new culture, new traditions, and a new way of life, but you will also experience the challenges that come along with studying in another country. Some of you are probably a bit scared and wonder if you can manage all that. However, you should not be afraid because you will quickly realise that you are not alone at BTU or in the city of Cottbus. On the one hand, the International Relations Office will answer all your administrative questions and problems. We will help you with enrolment and will also be there to support you if you have any other problems. For you, our new international students, we have organised many volunteer »BTU Buddies« together with the student boards. BTU Buddies are not only there to answer any questions you might have about daily life, but they will also accompany you to your appointments in town with the official authorities. On the other hand, you will very soon discover the international flair on campus and realise that many international students were as daring as you are in coming to a completely new country and culture, and have also found their way to BTU. You will soon start feeling at home at BTU and maybe even meet some students from your home country. Getting to know new German and international friends will become almost a daily routine. For example, meeting people happens naturally during the numerous excursions and events that the International Relations Office and other institutions at BTU offer and organise for you. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or problems which may arise during your studies and your stay in Cottbus – but also feel free to share new ideas or suggestions. We would like to help you to quickly feel truly welcome in your new home at BTU. The International Relations Office Team

Sie brauchen ein deutsches Bankkonto für die Zahlung der Miete
