Dear Customer,
Thank you for your purchasing this hair and beard clippers. We hope you enjoy using it.
With this hair and beard trimmer and its adjustable comb attachments, you can cut hair to 10
different lengths and achieve clean contours. There is also a thinning function. The hair and
beard trimmer can be operated as a mains appliance (with an AC adaptor plug) as well as
battery-driven device (rechargeable batteries) independent of the mains supply.
These instructions will acquaint you with your hair and beard clippers and facilitate its operation.
Keep these instructions in a safe place so you can consult them again at a later date.

use
The hair and beard clippers is only suitable for domestic use and is not approved for commercial
use. The device is intended only for cutting natural hair. Use on human hair only – not on arti-
ficial or animal hair. The warranty is invalidated if the device is used for any purpose other
than indicated.

injury or damage. Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference. If you pass on
the product to a third party, please include this documentation as well.
General safety advice
J T his device is not intended to be used by persons (including children)
with restricted physical, sensory or mental abilities or with insufficient
experience and / or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person
who is responsible for their safety or they have received instruction on
how to use the device from such a responsible person. Children should be
supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the device.
J Keep the hair and beard trimmer and the AC adaptor plug out of the reach of
children as they cannot always correctly assess the possible risks connected
with their use.
J After use, store the hair and beard trimmer and the AC adaptor plug in a safe place, out
of the reach of children.
When unpacking the appliance, please note the following:

To avoid injury:
J o not use the device with a defective comb attachment. Defective comb attachments

J T o ensure optimum performance, operate the device only in accordance with the information
on the rating plate.
J Do not expose the hair clippers to temperatures below –10 °C or above +40 °C.
J Thoroughly clean the device after each use.

J Never immerse the appliance or the cable with the AC adaptor plug into water or any
other liquid.
J Never allow the appliance to operate unsupervised and only in accordance with the
details on the rating plate.
J Remove the AC adaptor plug from the socket
– in the event of a disturbance,
– before cleaning the appliance,
– if you do not intend to use the appliance for any length of time,
– after every use.
Pull on the plug and not on the cable.
J Should any damage to the cable, the AC adaptor plug, the casing or any other parts be
ascertained, the appliance must not be used any more.
J Repairs should only be carried out by a specialist dealer or by our service centres (see
guarantee document).
J CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! If the appliance falls into water,
you must first pull the AC adaptor plug out of the socket before putting your
hand into the water.
J CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Never touch the AC adaptor
plug with wet hands, especially when you are putting it into or pulling it out of
the socket.
J Hold the AC adaptor plug by its casing when you pull it out of the socket.
J Installation of a residual current protection device with a nominal tripping current of not
more than 30 mA offers further protection from electric shock. Only allow the installation
to be carried out by a qualified electrician.
J Only use the original AC adaptor plug for mains operation.
J Examine the AC adaptor plug and the hair and beard trimmer regularly for any mechanical
defects.
J Replace defective parts with original replacement parts obtained from a specialist dealer but
never attempt to repair the device yourself!
J Have all repairs carried out by a specialist dealer or through our Service Centre (see
Service Hotline on the warranty sheet).
J Ensure that the lead does not become trapped in cupboard doors or pass over
hot surfaces. Otherwise you risk damaging the insulation on the lead.

The hair and beard trimmer can be operated as a battery-driven or mains-operated appliance
(with an AC adaptor plug).
Q Operation
with an AC adaptor plug
j First insert the adaptor cable into the port 7 of the hair and beard trimmer and insert the
adaptor into a properly installed socket (100 - 240 V ~).
j Make sure that the ON / OFF switch 5 is pushed down (OFF position).
The hair and beard trimmer can be used immediately when connected to the mains. With
mains operation of the hair and beard trimmer, the state-of-charge display 6 will alternately
flash green and red.
Q Charging
the rechargeable batteries and battery operation
Tip: The rechargeable batteries of the hair and beard clippers achieve optimal performance
after they have been charged and discharged 3 times. Before using it for a first time as well as
for the following 3 charging processes, charge the hair and beard trimmer for 12 hours.

j T o charge the device, push the ON / OFF switch 5 down to the OFF position.
j Insert the adaptor cable into the port 7 on the hair and beard trimmer and then insert
the AC adaptor plug into a suitable socket (100 - 240 V ~).
The state-of-charge display (LED) 6 will flash red and shows the state of the charging
process.
The state-of-charge display (LED) 6 will flash green when the charging process has finished.
If the rechargeable battery is fully charged, the hair and beard trimmer can be used for at
least 60 minutes without any mains power.
Note: If the rechargeable battery is nearly flat, the state-of-charge display (LED) 6 will
change colour from green to red. The hair and beard trimmer will work only for a short time.

Tip: The hair to be cut should be clean and dry.
j omb your hair through carefully to remove any knots.

j Place the hairdresser’s cape or a cloth around the throat and neck to prevent hair from
dropping into the collar.
Q Cutting
hair
Tip: First cut the hair to a longer length than is required, then proceed in stages until you
achieve the desired length.
j elect and insert a comb attachment 1 . Select between comb attachments 1 that can

cut to the following lengths: 4 / 7 / 10 / 13 / 16 mm and 18 / 21 / 24 / 27 / 30 mm.
j Push the attachments onto the hair and beard trimmer over the lateral guide rails.
j Push the comb attachment 1 onto the comb attachment mounting 4 until you hear it
click into place.
j Adjust the desired cutting length by pushing the slide for the comb attachment 9 .
j Switch on the hair and beard clippers by pushing the ON / OFF switch 5 up.
j Run the hair and beard clippers slowly though your hair.
j In order to cut straight with a cutting length of more than 20 mm, the hair and beard trimmer
should be guided through the hair several times from different directions.
j When doing so, hold the hair and beard clippers in such a way that the comb attachment 1
lies as flat as possible.
j Always cut from the nape of the neck in the direction of the top of the head or from the
forehead and temples upwards towards the centre of the head.

Note: Depending on how you hold the appliance and the angle this results in, the cutting
lengths may deviate from those mentioned in these instructions or the lengths marked on the
attachments.
Note: In order to improve cutting performance, place a drop of oil on the shaver head 2 .
This is particularly recommendable after cleaning. Wipe excess oil away with a cloth (see also
section called “Cleaning and care”).
Q Thinning
out hair
This tool reduces the volume of the hair to produce a modern, straggly look without altering
the length of the hair.
j In order to thin the hair out, push the slide button 3 to the left; the thinning function 2
integrated in the trimmer head will then extend upwards.
Q Trimming
and cutting your beard
j et the desired cutting length depending on how long you want your beard to be. Now

gradually trim your beard.
Without a comb attachment 1 , the beard can be cut to a length shorter than 4 mm.

CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY!
THE SHAVER HEAD 2 IS VERY SHARP!
Remove the comb attachment 1 (see Fig. A-C):
j Turn the appliance round so you can see its back and push the comb attachment 1
upwards using the slide 9 .
j Using your thumb and index finger and with moderate force, push the comb attachment 1
carefully upwards and over the lateral locking pins. The comb attachment 1 will be
released from the comb attachment fastening 4 .
j Remove the comb attachment 1 .
Without a comb attachment 1 , the hair can be evenly cut to a length of 1 - 2 mm.

j T urn the device over so that the back is facing upwards.
j Place the edge of the cutter head 2 without an attachment 1 at the desired height for
the hairline.
j Move the switched-on hair and beard clippers downwards.

CAUTION!
DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Warning! As the device is not waterproof, the hair and beard clippers should not be
immersed in water or other liquids when cleaning it. This could lead to live parts (rechargeable
batteries) being damaged.
j R emove the AC adaptor plug from the socket before cleaning the hair and beard trimmer.
j Never touch the AC adaptor plug with wet hands when you are inserting it into or removing
it from the socket.
j Keep the AC adaptor plug and cable dry at all times.

j Clean the housing using a slightly moist cloth.

j Disconnect the cable from the hair and beard trimmer and remove the AC adaptor plug
from the socket.
j Remove the comb attachment 1 and clean it (see section called “Cutting without an
attachment” / “Remove the comb attachment 1 ”).
j Hold the hair and beard clippers with the front pointing upwards.
j Use moderate force to press the cutting edges downwards (see Fig. D).
j Clean the hair and beard clippers with the cleaning brush.
j Push the projection of the cutting attachment 8 under the edge of the casing (see Fig. E).
j Press the cutting edges of the cutting attachment 8 downwards until you can hear it click
into place.

Note: The shaver head 2 may only be cleaned with medical alcohol. Do not use water or
any other liquids. Oil the shaver head 2 as described in the following section.

j nly use acid-free oil, e.g. sewing machine oil.

j Remove the comb attachment 1 from the appliance as described in the section “Cutting
without an attachment”.
j Press the trimmer head 2 downwards (see Fig. D) and remove it.
j Put one or two drops of oil between the blades and distribute the oil evenly.
j Replace the shaver head 2 and the comb attachment 1 again (see Fig. E).
j Wipe off excess oil with a cloth.
Q Disposal
Protect the environment!
This hair and beard clippers has two integrated NiMH rechargeable batteries
inside it.
Do not dispose of the batteries or the device with normal household refuse. Contact
your local council to find out about environmentally friendly and proper disposal of
the device (as electrical scrap). Observe the applicable local and national disposal
regulations with regard to separation of materials, waste collection and recycling
centres.
The packaging is wholly composed of environmentally friendly materials that can
be disposed of at a local recycling centre.
The following parts should be disposed of separately:
– Motor, metal parts, circuit board
– AC adaptor plug
– Plastic parts
– Rechargeable batteries
Take these parts for recycling.

the rechargeable batteries
CAUTION! Do not operate a hair and beard clippers that has been taken apart!
Do not short-circuit the dismantled rechargeable batteries; they could be very hot if
they are still live!
This is how you take the device apart so that it can be disposed of in an environmentally
friendly way:
j isconnect the cable from the hair and beard clippers.

j Discharge the rechargeable batteries completely by allowing the switched-on hair and
beard trimmer to come to a complete standstill without the adaptor cable being plugged in.
j Remove the comb attachment 1 and the shaver head 2 (see Fig. A-D).
j Unscrew the three screws on the back of the device with a small crosshead screwdriver
(see Fig. F).
j Fold the two halves of the casing apart (see Fig. G).
j Remove the board from its mounting by carefully pressing the black mounting clips on the
sides away from the board (see Fig. H and I).
j Using a pair of pliers or a side cutter, cut through all cables.
j Remove the rechargeable batteries from the board (see Fig. J) and dispose of them at a
suitable collection point.
It is illegal to dispose of rechargeable batteries/batteries with normal domestic
waste. Please dispose of the rechargeable batteries via the collection system or a
specially provided collection box in the shop.
Q Warranty
and service
For details of the service hotline for your country, please refer to the enclosed warranty
documents.
Our device was manufactured with the greatest of care. Nevertheless, in the event of a mal-
function we guarantee the quality and function of the product within the scope of our terms of
guarantee.
The warranty period is 36 months and begins on the date of purchase. Please retain your receipt
as proof of the purchase date. The statutory warranty is not restricted by this guarantee.
The guarantee excludes:
– parts subject to regular wear and tear such as all trimming and cutting parts,
– damage to fragile parts,
– damage resulting from unauthorised interference,
– damage resulting from the use of non-original spare parts,

– damage resulting from force majeure,
– damage resulting from non-compliance with the care instructions,
– batteries / rechargeable batteries.
We are furthermore unable to assume liability for the consequences of improper use of the device.

j Liitä ensin pistokevirtalähteen johto liitäntään 7 hiustenleikkaus- ja partakoneella ja pistä
pistokeverkkolähde määräysten mukaisesti asennettuun pistorasiaan (100 - 240 V ~).
j Varmistaudu, että PÄÄLLE- / POIS-kytkin 5 on työnnetty alas (OFF-asento).
Hiustenleikkaus- ja partakone on heti käyttövalmis verkkokäytössä. Hiustenleikkaus- ja partakoneen
verkkokäytössä lataustilan (LED) merkkivalo 6 vilkkuu vuorotellen vihreänä ja punaisena.
Q Akkujen
lataus ja akkukäyttö
Ohje: Hiustenleikkaus- ja parranajokoneen akut saavuttavat optimaalisen tehonsa 3-kertaisen
latauksen ja tyhjentymisen jälkeen. Lataa hius- ja partaleikkuria ennen ensimmäistä käyttöä ja
seuraavalle 3 lataukselle 12 tuntia.
j Työnnä Päälle- / Pois-kytkin 5 laitteen latausta varten alas asentoon OFF.
j L iitä pistokevirtalähteen johto liitäntään 7 hiustenleikkaus- ja partakoneella ja pistä sitten
pistokevirtalähde sopivaan pistorasiaan (100 - 240 V ~).
Lataustilan merkkivalo (LED) 6 vilkkuu punaisena ja näyttää latauksen kulun.
Lataustilan merkkivalo (LED) 6 vilkkuu vihreänä ja näyttää, kun lataus on päättynyt. Kun
akku on täyteen ladattu, hiustenleikkaus- ja partakonetta voidaan käyttää vähintään 60
minuuttia verkosta riippumatta.

j Aseta leikkauskappa tai pyyhe kaulan ja niskan ympärille, jotta estäisit hiusten putoamisen
kauluksen sisään.

leikkaaminen
Vinkki: Käytä ensin pitempää leikkuupituutta ja lyhennä hiukset asteittain haluamaasi pituuteen.
j P istä kampatalla 1 paikoilleen. Valitse kampatallaa 1 käyttäessäsi seuraavien leikkuu-
pituuksien välillä: 4 / 7 / 10 / 13 / 16 mm ja 18 / 21 / 24 / 27 / 30 mm.
j Työnnä tämä sivuilla oleviin ohjauskiskoihin hiustenleikkaus- ja partakoneella.
j Pistä kampatalla 1 kampatallan kiinnitykseen 4 , kunnes se lukkiutuu kuuluvasti.
j Valitse haluttu leikkauspituus tallan liukukytkintä 9 työntämällä.
j Käynnistä hiustenleikkaus- ja parranajokone työntämällä PÄÄLLE- / POIS-kytkin 5 ylös.
j Vie hiustenleikkaus- ja parranajokone hitaasti hiusten läpi.
j Jotta yli 20 mm:n leikkuupituuksissa saavutettaisiin suora linja, hiustenleikkaus- ja partako-
netta tulisi viedä useaan kertaa hiusten läpi eri suunnista.
j Pidä hiustenleikkaus- ja parranajokonetta tällöin niin, että talla 1 on mahdollisimman
latteana.
j Leikkaa aina niskasta ylöspäin tai otsalta ja ohimoilta pään keskelle.
Huomautus: Riippuen laitteen asennosta ja siitä seuraavasta kulmasta voivat leikkuupituudet
vaihdella tässä käyttöohjeessa ilmoitetuista tai talloille / laitteelle merkityistä pituuksista.
Huomautus: Tiputa tippa öljyä ajopäähän 2 , tämä parantaa leikkuutehoa. Tämä on suo-
siteltavaa erityisesti puhdistuksen jälkeen. Pyyhi liika öljy pois laitteesta liinalla (katso kappale
”Puhdistus ja hoito”).
Q Hiusten
ohentaminen
Tällä toiminnolla saat vähennettyä hiusten tilavuutta. Saat aikaan modernin, hapsumaisen lookin
hiusten pituutta muuttamatta.

j Työnnä luistikytkin 3 vasemmalle hiusten ohennusta varten; tällöin ajopäähän integroitu
ohennustoiminto 2 ajetaan ylhäälle ulos.

j Valitse pituusporras aina halutun parran pituuden mukaan. Lyhennä parta nyt portaittain.
Parta voidaan ilman kampatallaa 1 leikata alle 4 mm:n pituuteen.

j Käännä laite selkäpuolelle ja työnnä kampatalla 1 luistikytkimen 9 avulla ylös.
j Työnnä kampatalla 1 kohtuullista voimaa käyttäen peukalolla ja etusormella varovasti
ylös sivulla olevien lukitussokkien yli. Kampatalla 1 irtoaa kampatallan kiinnityksestä 4 .
j Ota kampatalla 1 pois.
Ilman kampatallaa 1 hiukset voidaan leikata tasaisesti 1 - 2 mm pituuteen.
Q Niskan
hiusrajan ja pulisonkien leikkaaminen ja siistiminen
j äännä laite ympäri siten, että taustapuoli näyttää ylöspäin.

Q Puhdistus

Varoltus! Koska laite ei ole vesitiivis, hiustenleikkaus- ja parranajokonetta ei saa puhdis-
tettaessa upottaa veteen eikä muihin nesteisiin. Tämä voi vahingoittaa virtaa johtavia osia (akkuja).
j Irrota pistokevirtalähde pistorasiasta ennen kuin ryhdyt puhdistamaan hiustenleikkaus-

Huomautus: Ajopään 2 puhdistukseen saadaan käyttää vain lääkealkoholia. Älä käytä
puhdistukseen vettä äläkä muita nesteitä. Öljyä ajopää 2 , kuten seuraavassa kappaleessa
on kuvattu.

Tässä hiustenleikkaus- ja parranajokoneessa on laitteen sisällä kaksi kiinteästi
asennettua Ni-MH-akkua.
28 FIHävittäminen / Akkujen poistaminen
Älä hävitä akkuja ja laitetta tavallisen kotitalousjätteen mukana. Kysy kaupungin- tai
kunnanvirastosta tietoja laitteen (”sähköromu”) ympäristöystävällisestä ja asianmu-
kaisesta hävittämisestä. Noudata paikallisia ja kansallisia materiaalien erottelua ja
jätekeräystä koskevia määräyksiä.
Pakkaus on valmistettu ympäristöystävällisistä materiaaleista, ja voit toimittaa sen
paikallisiin kierrätyspisteisiin.
Seuraavat osat on erotettava:
– moottori, metalliosat, piirilevyt
– pistokevirtalähde
– muoviosat
– akut
Vie nämä osat kierrätyspisteeseen.
Q Akkujen
poistaminen
J VARO! Älä ota osiin purettua hiustenleikkaus- ja parranajokonetta enää käyt-
töön! Älä oikosulje purettuja akkuja, ne voivat kuumentua voimakkaasti, jos niissä
mahdollisesti on vielä virtaa!
Näin purat laitteen osiin ympäristöystävällistä hävittämistä varten:
j Irrota johto hiustenleikkaus- ja parranajokoneesta.
j Tyhjennä akut täysin antamalla käynnistetyn hiustenleikkaus- ja partakoneen pysähtyä
täysin ilman liitettyä pistokevirtalähteen johtoa.
j Poista kampatalla 1 ja ajopää 2 (katso kuva A - D).
j Avaa pienellä ristipääruuviavaimella kolme ruuvia laitteen takapuolelta (katso kuva F).
j Avaa kotelon puolikkaat (katso kuva G).
j Poista kortti pidikkeestään painamalla mustat kiinnitysklipsit sivuilla varovasti pois kortilta
(katso kuva H ja I).
j Katkaise pihdeillä / sivuleikkurilla kaikki johdot.
j Irrota akut kortilta (katso kuva J) ja toimita ne hävitettäksi sopivaan keräyspisteeseen.
Lain mukaan on kiellettyä hävittää akut / paristot talousjätteenä. Toimita akut / pa-
ristot hävitettäviksi palautusjärjestelmään tai niille varattuihin kaupan keruuastioihin.

Huoltoliikkeiden tiedot löytyvät koneen mukana toimitetusta takuutodistuksesta.
Laite on valmistettu suurella huolellisuudella. Takuumme kattaa luonnollisestikin laitteidemme
moitteettoman rakenteen ja toiminnan takuumme yleisten takuuehtojen puitteissa.
Takuu on voimassa 36 kuukautta ja alkaa laitteen hankintapäivänä. Säilytä kassakuitti ostoto-
distuksena. Tämä takuu ei rajoita lakisääteistä takuuta.
Takuu ei kata:
– kuluvat osat, esim. kaikki ajo- ja leikkuuosat,
– helposti särkyvien osien vaurioita,
– luvattomien toimenpiteiden aiheuttamia vaurioita,
– muiden kuin alkuperäisten varaosien käytöstä aiheutuvia vaurioita,
– epäasianmukaisesta käsittelystä aiheutuvia vaurioita,
– ylivoimaisista esteistä aiheutuvia vaurioita,
– hoito-ohjeiden noudattamatta jättämisestä aiheutuvia vaurioita,
– paristoja.
Emme myöskään voi ottaa vastuuta laitteen epäasianmukaiseen käyttöön kuuluvista seuraa-
muksista.
