Vendée Globe star will open Kiel Week twice

The Hamburg-based ocean sailor will enter the Welcome Race with a foiling GC32 catamaran and then open Kiel Week

e already holds the course record for

pa“ skippered by Jochen Schümann, Boris
Herrmann already eternalised himself in
the lists of winners of the Welcome Race.
This time he wants to „fly“ from the inner
fjord to Eckernförde. The Malizia team
around the Hamburg circumnavigator,
who made history in the winter as the first
German to sail non-stop around the globe
in the legendary Vendée Globe, has entered
a GC32 catamaran that will take off on foils.
