Die Arbeit »Fenster« wurde das erste Mal 2010 in Berlin und seitdem an
«
vielen unterschiedlichen Städten, so im D Museum in Seoul 2018. Dabei
ist der wechselnde Ausstellungsort immer Teil des Titels.
Die frischen Zweige auf dem Boden stammen von Bäumen und Sträu-
chern aus der Umgebung des jeweiligen Ausstellungsortes. Sie werden
während der Ausstellung fortwährend ersetzt, wodurch sich die Arbeit mit
fortschreitender Ausstellungsdauer verändert. Der Luftstrom eines kleinen
Ventilators bewegt die Zweige leicht und somit auch die Reflektion an der
Wand.
The installation ›Fenster/Window‹ premiered in Berlin in 2010 and has
since been shown in numerous locations, such as the D Museum in Seoul
in 2018. The changing location always becomes part of the title.
The freshly cut branches on the floor are always collected from local trees
and bushes. They are being replaced time and again during the exhibi-
tion, resulting in an ever-changing exhibit. The branches and their shad-
ows on the wall with them, are moving ever so slightly in the light breeze
from a small fan.

Dabei benutzte sie dieselben Restaurierungstechniken welche auch bei beschädigten Gemälden verwendet werden. For the piece Alpen – half restored, Ulrich Vogl com- missioned the conservator Claartje van Haften, to restore a map of the Alps by remov- ing streets, cities and other symbols of civilisation using the same restoration tech- niques often used to repair damaged paintings.

Installationsansicht San Vito Installation view San Vito Fenster Pasolini entstand für eine Ausstellung in einer Seidenspinnerei in San Vito in Norditalien. Zwischen San Vito und Casarsa befindet sich eine Feldkirche in welcher der spätere Regisseur Pier Paolo Pasolini mit seiner Mutter die Kriegsjahre verbrachte. Die Zweige stammen von den Maulbeerbäumen an dieser Kirche. Durch den Wind des Ventilators bewegen sich die Äste in der Vase und ihr Schatten in der Projektion. Window Pasolini was made for an exhibition in a silk mill in San Vito in Northern Italy. During WWII Pier Paolo Pasolini and his mother were living in a small chapel outside of this town. The branches are from the mulberry trees next to the chapel.Through the wind of a fan the branches are moving as does their projection on the wall.
