Von Eis und Reifgehänge. of ice and frost.

Der Schnee ist fort; The snow is gone
Am grünen Ort and every green place
Erschallen Lustgesänge. resounds with songs of pleasure.
Ein Druide A Druid
Ein reiner Schnee A light snow
Liegt auf der Höh'; still lies on the mountain peaks;
Doch eilen wir nach oben, yet we hurry up to the mountains
Begehn den alten heil'gen Brauch, to celebrate the ancient sacred rites
Allvater dort zu loben. and to praise the Father of All.
Die Flamme lodre durch den Rauch! Let the flame gleam up amidst the smoke.
So wird das Herz erhoben. Our hearts are lifted up.
