This year we are particularly pleased about the cooperation with the Canadian Embassy in
Germany. In cooperation with them, we developed the program FOCUS CANADA, which gives
Canadian series a special presence. Thank you very much.
I would also like to express my gratitude to Seeka TV from Minnesota (USA) – a streaming
platform for independently produced web series – for the repeated support.
The competition entices with 56 series and 8 pilot episodes from 19 countries and
6 continents. For the international jury, this quality program will certainly mean a major
challenge in i dentifying the lucky winners. Thank you already for your willingness to take on this
responsible task.

Wir freuen uns in diesem Jahr besonders über die Kooperation mit der Kanadischen

Der Plattform Seeka TV aus Minnesota (USA) – für unabhängig produzierte Webserien –
möchte ich ebenfalls einen namentlichen Dank für die erneute Unterstützung aussprechen.
Das Wettbewerbsprogramm lockt mit 56 Serien und 8 Pilotfolgen aus 19 Ländern. Damit sind
Serienmacherinnen und Serienmacher von allen Kontinenten außer der Antarktis vertreten. Für
die ebenfalls international besetzte Jury wird es bei diesem Qualitätsprogramm sicherlich eine
große Herausforderung, die glücklichen Gewinner zu ermitteln. Danke bereits an dieser Stelle

KINSHASA COLLECTION is based on a hybrid concept that breaks new ground formally,
arratively, and aesthetically. The transmedial project merges digital and analogue worlds and

plays with mutual influences. With creator Dorothee Wenner we talk about how the unusual
mode of production determined the content – and vice versa.

In our 4th edition the Seriale has a focus on Canadian productions that is realized
with the friendly support of the Canadian Embassy in Germany. The idea for this
focus was inspired by the numerous submissions this year from Canada and
the high quality of the Canadian series. A total of 15 series from Canada will be
presented in the course of the festival. 5 series are in the competition, 5 further
series will be presented during a lecture, held by the Executive Director of the
prestigious Vancouver Web Fest, Suzette Laqua, and 5 more c urrent C anadian Suzette Laqua Gabriel Doré Yvette Lu Rob Lyons

Bruce is stuck in a tent with irrepressible bogan Garry – who claims to be Bruce’s
“best mate”, and, despite what Bruce might hope, probably is – and Mick, a w ell-read,
philosophical, and sensitive monolith of a man, who is also possibly a brutal serial
killer.
