Liebe Leserinnen und Leser,
Der Start ins neue Schuljahr ist gelungen und wir kommen wieder in ruhigeres Fahrwasser,
nachdem nun unser neuer Grundschulleiter seine Arbeit aufnehmen darf. Wir alle haben viel
erlebt in den Sommerferien, von einigen der schönsten Momente erfahren Sie in diesem
Monatsblatt. Die nächste Ausgabe erscheint am Freitag, dem 28. September 2018.

新學年已經展開，我們也穩定地進入正軌學習及生活，此外本部新小學主任終於可以正式上工。相信

Dear Readers,
The launch into the new school year has been successful and we are entering calmer waters
now, after our new Head of Primary has been granted permission to take up his work. We have
all had an eventful summer break and some of the best moments are being shared in this
Monatsblatt. The next edition will be published on Friday, the 28th of September 2018. Please

校長的話
Message from the School Head
Liebe Eltern, liebe Schüler, liebe Freunde unserer Schule,
willkommen im neuen Schuljahr! Wie immer ist der Sommer eine
Zeit der Wechsel und so war es auch in diesem Jahr.
Mit Sicherheit die wichtigste Nachricht ist, dass Matthias Haße,
unser neuer Grundschulleiter, endlich an Bord ist. Dafür mussten
wir dieses Mal ein paar mehr Hindernisse überwinden als
gewöhnlich, doch nun haben wir es endlich geschafft! Es war nicht
leicht, trotz aller Widerstände einen reibungslosen Start
hinzubekommen. Aber dank der Hilfe des gesamten Teams und
insbesondere dank Frau Jackisch, die in Klasse 4 eingesprungen ist,
scheint es gut geklappt zu haben.
In der Zwischenzeit haben sich unsere anderen Neuankömmlinge schon einleben können: Ingo
Hahn bringt seinen sehr strukturierten und herzlichen Stil mit in Klasse 3, Harper Liu, unser
ganz eigener Chinesischlehrer, führt die Kinder der Flex 0 und der Klasse 1 ins CLC-Programm
ein. Zusammen mit Kyle Wu unterrichtet er auch Klasse 5. Ilse Chang, unsere neue
Grundschulassistentin, ist eine große Hilfe für die Flex 1/2-Klassen.
Ich bin gebeten worden, zwei weitere Ankündigungen zu machen:
Pfarrer Bauer bietet Erstkommunion für katholische Kinder an. Wenn Sie interessiert sind,
melden Sie sich bitte bei uns und wir werden Ihre Anfrage weiterleiten.

Bitte beachten Sie zweitens, dass auf den TES Campussen keine externen Nachhilfelehrer tätig
sein dürfen. Es gibt jedoch die Möglichkeit, sie beim Educational Services Department
anzumelden und ihre Dienste dann als ECA zu buchen.
Ich wünsche uns allen ein erfolgreiches neues Schuljahr und ich freue mich auf eine
spannende und fröhliche Zeit mit Ihnen!

親愛的家長、學生以及校友們，
歡迎加入新的學年並回到課堂！和往常一樣，每個夏季即是轉換交接時期，今年亦是如此。
目前最令人振奮的消息當然是我們新小學主任Matthias Hasse先生終於正式上任了。即便必須克服比
平時更多的障礙及挑戰，我們的目標終究實現了！面臨這些困境之餘，還要確保校務順利，一開始看
似不易，好在有本部整個團隊，尤其是Jackisch老師的幫助，共同接管四年級課程教學，我們的成績
已相當不錯，成功化解危機。
同時，我們其他新聘老師也都順利上工：Ingo Hahn老師以高組織高效率但不失友好的風格管理三年
級學生，本部專屬的Harper Liu老師也已為學前班和一年級提供中文課程。另外一位Kyle Wu老師教
授五年級中文。新的小學助理Ilse Chang小姐也身任一、二年級強有力的支持。
最後，我收到公私要求，有以下兩個聲明：
Bauer牧師為天主教兒童提供第一次聖餐。若有興趣，敬請聯絡我們，以便轉發您的需求。
另請注意，外聘私人家教老師不許在TES校園幫學童上課。但是他們可以向學務部註冊登記，然後當
作ECA課程提供服務給家長學生。
本人祝福大家新學年新希望，更期待與您共度愉快而美好的時光！

Dear Parents, Dear Students, Dear Friends of our School,
Welcome back to class! As always, the summer is a time of transitions and so it has been this
year.
The most exciting news is certainly that our new Head of Primary, Matthias Hasse, is finally on
board. We had to overcome a few more obstacles than usual to achieve this, but it has finally
been done! Ensuring a smooth start despite these challenges was not easy, but thanks to the
help of the whole team and Ms. Jackisch in particular, who took over Klasse 4 teaching, we
seem to have managed just fine.
In the meantime, our other new arrivals have been settling in very well: Ingo Hahn has brought
his highly organized yet friendly style to Klasse 3, Harper Liu, our very own Chinese teacher, is
introducing Flex0 and Klasse 1 to CLC classes. Together with Kyle Wu he also teaches Klasse 5.
Ilse Chang, our new Primary School learning assistant, is providing great support to the Flex
1/2 classes.
I have further been asked to make two announcements:
Pastor Bauer is offering first communion for Catholic children. If you are interested, please let
us know and we will pass on your request.
Secondly, please note that outside tutors cannot provide their services on TES campuses.
However, there is the possibility to register tutors with the Educational Services Department,
and you will then be able to book their tutoring services as an ECA.
I wish all of us a successful new school year and I am looking forward to an exciting and
enjoyable time with you!

Neue Mitarbeiter stellen sich vor
新進員工自我介紹
Self-Introductions of New Staff
Liebe Schülerinnen und Schüler, liebe Eltern,
mein Name ist Matthias Hasse und ich begrüße euch und Sie ganz
herzlich zum neuen Schuljahr 2018/19. Ich hoffe, die Ferien waren
lang genug, um nun mit neuem Elan die neuen Herausforderungen
anzugehen. Ich werde ab diesem Schuljahr die Grundschule der
deutschen Sektion leiten, gleichzeitig übernehme ich die
Klassenleitung der 4. Klasse.
Gebürtig komme ich aus Ostwestfalen und habe in Bielefeld
Lehramt für die Primarstufe mit den Fächern Deutsch,
Mathematik und Musik studiert. In den letzten fünf Jahren leitete
ich eine Grundschule mit 280 Kindern in der Bielefelder Innenstadt, davor war ich fünf Jahre
Grundschulleiter an der Deutschen Schule Nairobi in Kenia.
Meine Frau, unser Sohn und ich waren nun der Meinung, es sei wieder an der Zeit für einen
Ortswechsel, und so entschieden wir uns für Taipeh. Meine Tochter ist in Bielefeld geblieben,
sie beginnt im Herbst mit ihrem Studium.
Die Möglichkeit, hier in Taipeh arbeiten zu können, freut mich sehr. Das Konzept der TES hat
mich von Anfang an überzeugt, Ihre Kinder werden hier auf einem überaus hohen Niveau
gefördert und gefordert. Darüber hinaus bin ich von der Ausstattung der Schule, sowohl
personell als auch sachlich, begeistert. Ich bin davon überzeugt, dass ich mit meiner
Erfahrung, sowohl in Deutschland als auch an einer Auslandsschule, in der Lage bin, die
deutsche Abteilung der TES noch einen Schritt weiter voranzubringen.

Ich freue mich sehr darauf, mit Ihren Kindern und Ihnen zu arbeiten und wünsche uns allen

親愛的學生，親愛的家長，
我的名字是Matthias Hasse，歡迎各位加入2018/19新學年。我希望大家獲得足夠的假期，充滿活力
及元氣應對新的挑戰。本學年起，我將領導德國部小學，同時接管四年級班級。
我出生於Ostwestfalen，在Bielefeld接受小學師資培訓，主修德語、數學和音樂。過去的五年裡，我
在Bielefeld市中心一所有280名學童的小學當校長，更早之前，我也曾任肯亞首都奈洛比的德國外僑
學校小學校長有五年之久。
內人、兒子與我認為又是時候再次搬離家園展開全新生活，因此我們決定來到台北，只留我女兒在
Bielefeld，入秋後開始上大學讀書。
能有機會在台北工作讓我非常開心。且TES的辦學概念一開始就說服了我，您的孩子也能於此接受高
層次高品質的教育，提升學業和克服種種挑戰。此外，無論是在人事或者資源上，我都相當肯定本校
的軟硬體設備。我深信，憑藉著以前在德國和外僑學校的教學管理經驗，我能帶領TES德國部門進一
步向前發展。

Dear Students, dear Parents!
My name is Matthias Hasse and I warmly welcome you to the new school year 2018/2019. I
hope the holidays were long enough for you to start the new year with a lot of energy to
succeed in challenges and assignments yet to come. I will be the head of the German Primary
School while simultaneously having the pleasure of being the class teacher of the fourth grade.
I´m originally from East-Westphalia and I studied German, maths, and music in Bielefeld. The
last five years, I managed a primary school that taught about 280 kids in Bielefeld. Previous to
my position there, I was the headmaster of the German primary school in Nairobi, Kenya for
five years.
My wife, my son, and I were ready for a change of scenery so we decided to move here, Taipei.
My daughter stayed in Germany to sit the house and study to become a teacher.
The opportunity to work abroad has always appealed to me, especially at a school as modern
and organized as this one. The concept of TES to support and encourage the students had me
convinced to join the community from the first moment.
I am certain that the experiences gained in Germany and abroad will help me to take the
German Section of the primary school a step further and contribute to the success of the TES
concept.
I am looking forward to working with the children and parents, and hope for a successful
school year.

Ingo Hahn
Mein Name ist Ingo Hahn und ich freue mich Ihnen mitteilen
zu dürfen, dass ich ab diesem Schuljahr in der Grundschule
der Deutschen Sektion die Klasse 3 leiten werde. Für mich ist
die Ankunft in Taipei eine Rückkehr an einen Ort, an dem ich
schon vor 10 Jahren sehr gerne gelebt habe. Damals
verbrachte ich ein Jahr in Taiwan als Englischlehrer. Nun freue
ich mich darauf, gemeinsam mit Ihren Kindern an der TES zu
lernen und ihnen Wissen zu vermitteln. Ich bin außerdem sehr
neugierig auf mein neues Abenteuer und bin gespannt, wie
sich das Land in den letzten 10 Jahren entwickelt und
verändert hat.
Bereits während meines Studiums habe ich mich sehr für die Arbeit im Ausland interessiert.
Als sich dann nach dem ersten Staatsexamen die Möglichkeit ergab, nach Taiwan zu kommen,
habe ich diese genutzt. Ich war damals 6 Monate in Kaohsiung und anschließend 6 Monate in
Taipei tätig. Danach habe ich für 2 Jahre in Australien gelebt, ehe ich zurück nach Deutschland
zog, um mein zweites Staatsexamen zu beginnen. Dieses habe ich in meiner Heimat, im
schönen Erzgebirge in Sachsen absolviert, ehe ich für meine erste Festanstellung nach
Niedersachsen zog.
Die letzten 3 Jahre habe ich an der Deutschen Schule Shanghai gearbeitet und viele neue
Erfahrungen gesammelt. Die Deutsche Sektion der Taipei European School ist damit meine
zweite Tätigkeit an einer Auslandsschule. Hier fühle ich mich bereits zu Hause und habe mich
sehr schnell eingelebt.
我的名字是Ingo Hahn，很高興地能向大家宣佈，從本學年開始，我將擔任德國部小學3年級導師。
對我而言，抵達台北即是回到10年前我愛生活之處。當時我在台灣當了一年的英語老師。如今，我更
期待能在TES與您的孩子一同成長學習，傳道受業與解惑。對於這次新的冒險我也非常感到十分好奇
，很想了解台灣過去十年中有何發展和變化。
78. Monatsblatt der Deutschen Schule Taipei vom 31. August 2018 – Seite 9大學期間，我就嚮往將來能到國外工作。第一次國考順利結束後，我便把握機會來台灣。我分別在高
雄和台北各待了6個月。之後我搬至澳洲居住兩年，最後回到德國參加第二次國家考試。在家鄉德國
薩克森州美麗的Erzgebirge完成學業後，我則搬到下薩克森州，拿到第一個固定教職。
過去的3年裡，我在上海德國學校教書，獲取不少豐富且全新的經歷。擔任台北歐洲學校德國部教師
是我於外僑學校的第二份工作。在這裡我感到賓至如歸，且也能迅速安頓下來。
My name is Ingo Hahn and I am pleased to inform you that I will lead grade 3 in the German
Section starting from this school year. Taipei is familiar to me as I already enjoyed living here
10 years ago. At that time, I was teaching English in Taiwan. Now I am looking forward to
learning together with your children at TES as well as teaching them new things. I am also
curious about how Taiwan has developed and changed in the last 10 years.
I was already interested in working abroad while I was still a student. After I finished
university, I had the chance to come to Taiwan and took it. At that time, I had been living in
Kaohsiung for six months and later relocated to Taipei for another six months. After Taiwan, I
moved to Australia and lived there for two years before I moved back to Germany and
completed my education as a teacher with my internship in the beautiful Ore Mountains in
Saxony.
After that, I moved to Niedersachsen, where I worked for two years in an elementary school as
the class teacher of grades 3 and 4.
During the last three years, I worked at the German School Shanghai Hongqiao. There I gained
insight in the work at a German overseas school and had many new experiences. The German
Section of the Taipei European School is therefore my second job at an overseas German
school. I am already feeling at home in Taipei and am settling in quickly.

Das Kindergartenteam, Shari, Claudia, Imanuela, Markus, Jacques, Brenda, Thomas und ich
heißen alle alten und neuen Familien herzlich willkommen im Kindergarten der Deutschen
Schule Taipei.
In diesem Schuljahr werden wir insgesamt 49 Kinder in der Löwengruppe, Drachengruppe und
Pandagruppe haben. Davon besuchen derzeit 13 Schüler die flexible Schuleingangsstufe 0. In
den nächsten Wochen steht das Kennenlernen im Vordergrund. Neue Freundschaften werden
gebildet und bestehende gefestigt. Haben wir Sie neugierig gemacht? Was im Kindergarten
alles Interessantes passiert, erfahren Sie aus den jeweiligen Gruppeninformationen oder aus
unserem Monatsblatt. Am kommenden Samstag, den 1. September findet unser
Willkommens-Fest im TianMu-Park statt. In lockerer Atmosphäre können Sie bei einem
kleinen Picknick mit neuen/alten Familien in Kontakt kommen und sich gegenseitig
kennenlernen. Am 20. September findet dann unser DaZ Informations – Elternabend statt.
Wir wünschen allen Kindern einen guten Start, viel Spaß und ein tolles Kindergartenjahr
2018/2019.

舊家庭來到台北德國學校幼稚園。本學年獅子班、飛龍班和貓熊班共有49名小朋友就讀。其中13名目
前是學前班成員。接下來的幾週里，大家會先相互認識了解彼此，結交新的朋友，或鞏固原有友誼。
以上敘述已讓挑起您的好奇心嗎？您可從各班新訊通知或者的月刊上讀到幼稚園有趣大小事。這週六
9月1日，我們即將在天母公園舉辦歡迎派對。在輕鬆的氛圍中，你我可以邊享受野餐，邊與新舊家庭

welcome all old and new families to the kindergarten of the German School Taipei.
This school year we will have 49 children in the Lion Group, Dragon Group, and Panda Group.
Of these, 13 students are currently enrolled in the Flexible School Entrance Level 0, with the
focus on getting to know each other in the coming weeks. New friendships are formed and
existing ones consolidated. Have we aroused your curiosity? You can find out what happens in
the kindergarten from the respective group information or from our monthly newsletter. This
Saturday, September 1st, our welcome party will take place in Tian Mu Park. In a relaxed
atmosphere you can get in contact with new/old families and get to know each other during a
small picnic. On September 20th, our DaZ Informations - Parents' Evening will take place, too.
We wish all children a good start, lots of fun, and a great kindergarten year 2018/2019.

Hurra, wir sind jetzt alle Schulkinder!
歐耶！，我們現在成為小學生！
Hurray, We Are All School Kids Now!
Flex 1/2
Am 14.8.2018 hatten unsere Kleinen ihren großen Auftritt. Viel zu schnell werden die Kleinen
groß und der Schuleintritt steht vor der Tür. Das Amphitheater füllte sich mit zahlreichen
Gästen. Die Zweitklässler der Flex-Klassen sangen für die Neuankömmlinge. Die Freude war
auf beiden Seiten groß. Die Zweitklässler waren stolz nun ein Patenkind zu bekommen, dem
sie in den ersten Schultagen helfend zur Seite stehen. Die Erstklässler waren alle ganz
neugierig, wie der erste Tag als Schulkind werden würde.

，圓形劇場也為此聚集了無數賓客。二年級同學為新生們獻唱歡迎，雙方也都感到開心喜悅。二年級
學生自豪地於開學第一天協助學弟妹孰悉校園生活。對於小一新生，開學第一天上課，所經歷的一切
都相當新奇有趣。
On 14.8.2018, our little ones had their big appearance. Time passes way too fast and they are
big and the “Einschulung” is just around the corner. The amphitheater filled with numerous
guests. The second graders of the Flex classes sang for the newcomers. The joy was enormous
on both sides. The second graders were proud to get a Patenkind who they could help in their
first days of school. The first graders were all very curious about what the first day as a school
child would be like...

JAAAA!!! Wir sind in Fulong angekommen! Jeder hat sich richtig darauf gefreut. Als erstes haben
wir uns angeschaut, wie es so in Fulong ablaufen wird. Anschließend sind wir losgegangen, zur
Long Men Campsite. Als wir angekommen sind, sind wir erst mal zu unseren reservierten
Plätze gegangen. Wir haben unsere Sachen da abgelegt, und wollten unsere Zelte aufbauen, die
wir schon abgeholt hatten. Wir durften nur bestimmte Zeltplätze zum aufbauen aussuchen.
Aber keiner fand die Zeltplätze toll, da wir gar kein Schatten hatten. Die Lehrer haben sich
entschieden nachzufragen ob wir unsere Zeltplätze tauschen durften. Währenddessen haben
wir (Die Kinder) Frisbee, Tischtennis und noch vieles mehr gespielt. Gute Nachrichten: Wir
durften unsere Zeltplätze tauschen! Wir haben alles eingesammelt, und sind dann zu den
anderen Zeltplätzen gegangen. ”Das sieht ja besser aus!” sagte ein Lehrer. Wir hatten viel mehr
Schatten! Wir haben uns anschließend in unseren Gruppen befunden. Als wir das erledigt
haben, haben einzelne Gruppen ihre Zelte abgeholt. Es ging denn los mit den aufbauen. Herr.
Mangold hatte sein Zelt als erstes fehlerfrei fertig. Es ging bei allen eigentlich ganz gut, da wir
Lehrern hatten, die uns gut geholfen hatten. Doch die meisten konnten das schon. Als wir die
Zelten fertig aufgebaut hatten, mussten wir noch 2 Schichten darüber legen. Es wurde uns
gesagt, es sei Wasserschutz. Wasserschutz darüber tun, ging auch sehr schnell. Langsam ging
alles voran, und meine Gruppe hatte dann schon angefangen unsere Isomatten aufzubauen,
und rein zutun. Darauf haben wir noch unsere Kissen, Schlafsäcke und Rucksäcke reingelegt.
Wir haben es geschafft! Nach ungefähr 30 Minuten von Anstrengung, haben wir alle die erste
Stufe erledigt! Wir waren bereit für die 5 Tage in Fulong!

we looked at our general plans in Fulong. We then walked to Long Men Campsite. Upon arrival,
we immediately walked to our assigned area of the campsite. We put our belongings down and
wanted to start putting up our tents, which we already picked up before. However, no one
really liked the camping spots, since there was no shade at all. The teachers then decided to
request a swap of assigned camp sites. While waiting, we (the kids) played around with a
frisbee, table tennis, and many other games.
Good news: We were allowed to swap our campsites! We collected our belongings and walked
to the other area. “This looks a lot better”, one teacher said. It was a lot shadier than the initial
spot. Then, all groups picked up their own tent and started putting up their tents. Mr Mangold
was the first one who had his tent standing. However, everyone was doing a good job since we
had teachers who were helpful to us. And many students knew how to put up a tent. We had to
put two further layers over the tents, as water repellent we were told. Slowly, everyone
progressed and my group already started to put their sleeping mats into the tents. We
furthermore put our sleeping bags, pillows, and backpacks into our tents. We finally made it!
After about 30 minutes of exhausting work, we finished the first step. We were ready for the
first five days in Fulong!

Am Mittwoch morgen sind wir früh zum Frühstück gelaufen um Energie für die Fahrradtour zu
tanken. Danach sind wir sind zum Fahrradverleih um unsere Fahrräder in Empfang zu nehmen.
Die Fahrräder waren sehr bequem und schon sind wir los gefahren. Als erstes kahmen wir an
einer großer Tunnel (dem Old Caoling Tunnel); es war dunkel und unheimlich aber es gab
zumindest Klimanlagen. Endlich kahmen wir zum Ende. Wir haben dann eine Trinkpause und
ein Gruppenfoto vor dem Tunnel. Danach war es wirklich steil, sodass wir unsere Räder
schieben mussten. Nach einer Weile an ein weissen Haus herangefahren, zu einer verdienten
Pause. Dann sind wir in ein Seafood-Restaurant gegangen das Mittagessen war sehr lecker.
Nachdem wir am Ziel angekommen sind und die Fahrräder zurück gegeben haben, wurde noch
ein ganz leckeres Eis gegessen.
We departed early Wednesday morning to eat breakfast in order to fuel our bodies with energy
for the bike trip. We then moved on to rent our bikes. The bikes were quite comfortable and
we could depart straight away. We first rode through a large tunnel (the Old Caoling Tunnel); it
was quite dark and scary, but at least there was air conditioning. Finally, we reached the end of
the tunnel. We made a short stop to have a drink of water. The following bit was very steep, to
the point we had to push our bikes. After some time, we stopped at a white house for a
well-deserved break. Following this, we had lunch at a seafood restaurant. It was delicious.
After returning to Fulong and returning our bikes, we had some ice cream.

Am Donnerstagmorgen wurde ich von meinen Zeltkammeraden Felix und Edward mit einer
Wasserflasche geweckt. Da ich die Nacht mit meiner Sonnenbrille verbracht hatte ( wegen
Pollenallergie) hatte ich keine roten Augen aufgewacht. Als wir mit dem Frühstück fertig
waren kribbelten meine Knie vor Aufregung wegen des Kanufahrens. Doch erst mussten wir
uns bereit machen. Das dauerte ungefähr zehn Minuten. Als unsere Lehrer uns Aufrufen
wollten fiel in genau dem moment mein Zahn raus. Als es dann doch endlich losging konnte Ich
und ich glaube alle es nicht erwarten. Zum Glück war die Station am Zeltplatz. Sie machten alle
eine kurze Einführung mit und dann ging es auch schon los. Felix und Ich wollten zusammen in
einem Kanu sitzen und so war es auch. Wir Paddelten etwa sechs Kilometer und immer im
Fluss. Ich und Felix krachten ein paar mal in andere rein aber im total war es toll, spassig aber
auch anstrengend. Weil uns angestrengt haben konnten wir uns erst einmal eine halbe stunde
uns ausruhen. Dannach ging es auch schon ab zum strand wir mussten zu unserer
überraschung erst einmal eintritt zahlen. Ich und viele andere spielten im Meer herum und
ritten auf unserem Bauch auf den wellen.

the night with sunglasses, my eyes were for once not red (pollen allergy). Once we finished
breakfast, I had wobbly knees, as we were excited about the impending kayak ride. We first had
to get ready in our tents. This lasted 10 minutes, and as the teachers were calling us, I lost a
tooth! Once we finally could depart, everyone could not wait anymore to finally get started.
Luckily, the kayak station was located in the campground! We were all given a brief
introduction and then immediately got started. I boarded the kayak with Felix. Altogether, we
paddled about six kilometers, up and down the river. Felix and I had a few collisions with
others, but it was generally just great fun but also exhausting. Because we were exhausted, we
first were allowed to relax for half an hour. Afterwards, we went to the beach, where we had to
pay an entrance fee, much to our surprise. Myself and many others played in the sea and were
riding waves!

Team Building Day of Class 5 and 6

Unser Teambuilding Day fand dieses Schuljahr bereits in der ersten Unterrichtswoche statt.
Die Klassen 5 und 6 der Deutschen Sektion führten dabei gemeinsam mit den Schülern der
6seme der Französischen Sektion ausgewählte Aktivitäten durch, die das
Zusammengehörigkeitsgefühl der Kinder stärken sollten.
In der ersten Aktivität, dem Namensduell, ging es darum sich gegenseitig kennenzulernen. Als
der Vorhang fiel, musste man so schnell wie möglich den Namen des Gegenübers nennen um
zu gewinnen. Um Kommunikation und Vertrauen ging es bei der Blindenführung, welche
darauf folgte. Nur mit verbaler Kommunikation wiesen dabei Schülerinnen und Schüler einem
Partner bzw. einer Partnerin mit Augenbinde den Weg über das Sportgelände. Kooperation

Rücken, ohne Zuhilfenahme der Hände, vom Boden aufzustehen. Die Hauptaktivität
„Flussüberquerung“ fand im Anschluss daran statt. Hierbei musste die Gruppe versuchen mit
Hilfe von hölzernen Brettern einen „reißenden Fluss“ zu überqueren. Strategie, Kooperation
und Reflexion waren dabei von hoher Bedeutung. Mit ausgewählten Methoden reflektierten
die Kinder jede einzelne Aktivität. Bei der nachmittäglichen Aktivität „Schatztruhe und
Papierkorb“ zeichneten die Schülerinnen und Schüler positive und negative Erinnerungen zum
Tag auf Papier auf. Die Zeichnungen sind im Eingangsbereich des Phase 1 Gebäudes an
Pinnwänden ausgestellt. Rundum war der Teambuilding Day ein gelungener Tag, an dem nicht
nur die Schüler sondern auch die Lehrer der Französischen und Deutschen Sektion engagiert
zusammenarbeiten. Vielen Dank!

好的活動學習，以利加強學子們的團對精神。
第一項活動稱做姓名對決，目的在讓同學相互認識了解。每當布幕落下時，學生必須盡快念出對方正
確的名字才能獲勝。針對溝通及信任訓練，大家隨後進行導盲活動。學生只能口頭討論解釋，在運動
場上引導被蒙住眼睛的夥伴至指定的方向。第三項活動的重點在於合作精神，學生們必須不靠雙手背
對背試著從地板上站起來。最後輪到主要活動“穿越河流”上場。活動規則是安排每組學生試著去用木
板穿越“洶湧的河流”。此時，大家的戰略、合作和反思能力就顯得相當重要。當學生使用各種特別方
法完成任務時，也會反醒思考每項活動的背後真正意義。下午活動還有”藏寶箱”和”垃圾桶”，讓學生
用紙筆記錄當天的好與壞。他們寫下的感想已經展示在第1校舍入口的公佈欄上。總而言之，團康日
相當成功，不僅學生，且德、法兩部門的老師同樣相互配合協助。感謝大家！
Our Team Building Day took place this school year already in the first week of classes. Class 5
and 6 of the German Section, together with the students of the 6eme from the French Section,
carried out selected activities to strengthen their feeling of solidarity.
The first activity, the name duel, was about getting to know each other. When the curtain fell,
you had to tell your opponent's name as quickly as possible to win. The guided tour for the
blind, which followed, was about communication and trust. Only with verbal communication
did students show a blindfolded partner the way across the sports grounds. Cooperation was
the focus of the third exercise, in which the students had to try to get up from the floor, back
to back, without the help of their hands. The main "river crossing" activity followed. The group
had to try to cross a "raging river" with the help of wooden boards. Strategy, cooperation, and
reflection were of great importance. Using selected methods, the students reflected on each
individual activity. During the afternoon activity, "Treasure Chest and Trash", the students
recorded positive and negative memories of the day on paper. The drawings are displayed on
pin boards in the entrance area of Phase 1 building. All in all, the Team Building Day was a
successful day, on which not only the students but also the teachers of the French and German
Sections worked together. Thank you very much!

Wir waren mit unserer Tante und unserem Onkel, zwischen dem
12.06.18 - 22.06.18 auf Nordzypern. Das ist der türkische Teil der
Insel Zypern. Diese wurde nach dem Bürgerkrieg 1974, in eine
türkische und eine griechische Seite geteilt. Hier gibt es große
Naturschutzgebiete entlang der Küste für die zahlreichen
Meeresschildkröten der zwei Arten, die dort nisten: die Grüne
Meeresschildkröte (auch „Suppenschildkröte“ genannt, nennt sie
aber bitte nicht so; Chelonia mydas) und die unechte
Karettschildkröte (Caretta caretta). Alle der insgesamt sieben
Meeresschildkrötenarten sind vom Aussterben bedroht.
Die Gründe für diese Bedrohung gehen überwiegend von uns Menschen aus, weil wir sehr viel
(Plastik-)Müll produzieren, welcher oft in den Meeren und an den Stränden landet und viele
Meeresschildkröten auch als Beifang in Fischernetzen verenden, oder gar selbst im Kochtopf
landen. Tourismus kann hierbei auch ein Problem sein, dass heißt bebaute Küstenbereiche,
oder mit Liegen und Sonnenschirmen zugepflasterte Strände können die Schildkröten sehr
stören. Und deshalb sind wir dorthin gereist, um Meeresschildkröten beim Brüten zu
beobachten und beim Naturschutz zu helfen.
Wie sah unsere Naturschutzarbeit aus? Wir liefen die Niststrände entlang, um anhand der
riesigen Spuren, welche die Schildkrötenmütter im Sand hinterlassen, die Nester zu finden -
das nennt man „nest spotting".
78. Monatsblatt der Deutschen Schule Taipei vom 31. August 2018 – Seite 27Die Meeresschildkröten kehren nämlich alle zwei Jahre an den Strand ihrer Geburt zurück (ab
ca. dem Alter von 20 Jahren) und befruchten sich dort in der Nähe der Küste. Nachts geht dann
das Weibchen an Land, um ein armtiefes Nest auszugraben, ihre bis zu 200 Eier darin
abzulegen und dann zu verbuddeln. Die Eier sehen aus wie Tennisbälle, mit einem
Durchmesser von ca. 4cm und einem Gewicht von ca. 45g. Die Eier werde von Ende Mai bis
Anfang August gelegt. Bis die kleinen Meeresschildkröten schlüpfen, vergehen zirka 45-55
Tage.
Die Eier im Sand sind nur bedingt sicher, denn Fressfeinde, wie Füchse und Hunde können sie
sehr gut anhand des Geruchs ausfindig machen und dann ausgraben. Deshalb legen wir auf die
Nester Gitter, die wir mit Stöckern befestigen. Und auch ein Hinweisschild wird am Nest
angebracht, damit kein Mensch seinen Sonnenschirm darauf aufstellt.
Insgesamt werden dort 16 Strände abgesucht. Es ist ganz schön anstrengend die Strände
abzulaufen und dabei die Ausrüstung (Gitter und Schilder) zu tragen. Die Arbeitszeiten sind
ganz früh von 5 Uhr kurz vor Sonnenaufgang bis etwa 11 Uhr und dann wieder abends, ab 17
Uhr bis 20 Uhr. Weil es ab 11 Uhr schon so unerträglich heiß am Strand ist, bietet es sich an,
dass man wenn man schon am Meer arbeitet, sich schnell mal abzukühlen. Wegen der großen
Hitze am Tag (bis zu 45°C) sind genau die Nacht- und Morgenstunden die Zeiten, in denen die
Schildkröten am Strand ihre Eier legen. Später dann schlüpfen auch die Jungen während der
kühleren Stunden. Wir hatten das Glück einer Schildkröte beim Ablegen der Eier nachts am
Strand zuzuschauen. Dazu mussten wir uns ganz leise und vor allem langsam am Strand
bewegen, genau genommen krabbeln, denn die Tiere sind sehr wachsam und spüren jede
Vibration des Bodens. Wenn sie sich gestört fühlen, gehen sie schnell wieder zurück ins Meer.
Die Schlüpfphase dauert von Mitte Juli bis Mitte September. Die Schlüpflinge sind nach dem
Schlüpfen Fressfeinden, wie dem Fuchs, Geisterkrabben und Vögeln schutzlos ausgeliefert.
Dazu werden in dieser Phase die Strände auch wieder zu den kühleren Tageszeiten abgelaufen
und geprüft, ob dort kleine Schildkrötenspuren von den Nestern Richtung Meer führen. Dann
werden die Nester geöffnet und die verbliebenen Schlüpflinge herausgeholt und unter dem
Beisein der Helfer und Helferinnen ins Meer entlassen. Durch die Vibrationen, die die
Menschen machen verstecken sich zum Beispiel die Krabben und fressen so nicht die
handtellerkleinen Schildkröten. Füchse und Vögel trauen sich sowieso nicht an den Strand,
wenn dort Menschen in der Nähe sind.
78. Monatsblatt der Deutschen Schule Taipei vom 31. August 2018 – Seite 28Die geschlüpften Meeresschildkröten sind je nach Art 4 cm bis 5 cm lang und nur 16 g bis 20 g
schwer. Spannend zu wissen ist es, dass die Temperatur und damit die Tiefe, in der das Ei lag,
das Geschlecht bestimmt: tief (damit bis 28°C) wird es ein Männchen und eher näher zur
Oberfläche (>31°C) wird es ein Weibchen. Bei Temperaturen dazwischen können beide
Geschlechter entstehen.
Dort im Projekt arbeiten meistens Studierende aus Berlin, der Türkei oder sogar Einheimische
aus Zypern selbst und schuften dort ehrenamtlich, also ohne bezahlt zu werden. Eigentlich ist
es eher umgekehrt, denn man bezahlt selbst einen Beitrag an die Organisation, die das Projekt
ausrichtet und erhält ein Zelt, eine Matratze und ausreichend Verpflegung.
Eine kleine Anekdote am Rande: Von den großen Mengen Müll, der an vielen Stränden auch in
tieferen Schichten liegt, geht eine große Gefahr für die Schildkröten aus, weil sie sich zum
Beispiel darin verheddern können. Deswegen sind wir zu einer Sammelaktion an einem der
wichtigen Strände gefahren und haben so viel wie möglich Müll in mitgebrachte Müllsäcke
gesammelt. Als dann meine Tante ein Stück schwarzes Plastik aus dem Meer fischen wollte,
hielt sie nicht Plastik in der Hand, nein, sondern ein komplett funktionstüchtiges iPhone X!
Den gesammelten Müll haben wir dann in die Mülltonnen gebracht und nicht, wie viele andere,
einfach am Parkplatz liegen lassen, wo schon Katzen und Hunde darauf warteten. In Zukunft
soll in noch viel größeren Aktionen außerhalb der Schildkrötensaison Müll gesammelt werden.
Da sollen dann auch Bagger eingesetzt werden. Mit einer DIY Müllrecycling Maschine wollen
sie dann aus dem Müll coole Sachen herstellen, wie Armbänder oder Einkaufstaschen.
Wir sind sehr überzeugt von der Arbeit, die dort geleistet wird und empfehlen es jedem von
ganzem Herzen, dort einmal mitzumachen.
Diese wunderbaren Tiere haben es, wie alle anderen Tiere, verdient zu leben, also
geht nach Nordzypern und rettet die Meeresschildkröten vor dem Aussterben!!

We were on Northern Cyprus with our aunt and uncle between 12 and 22 of June 2018. This is
the Turkish part of the island of Cyprus. After the civil war in 1974, this was divided into a
Turkish and a Greek side. There are large nature reserves along the coast for the numerous sea
turtles of the two species that nest there: the green sea turtle (also called "green turtle", but
please do not call it that; Chelonia mydas) and the loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta). All seven
species of sea turtles are threatened with extinction.
The reason for this threat comes mainly from us humans because we produce a lot of (plastic)
garbage which often ends up in the seas and on the beaches, and many sea turtles also die as
by-catch in fishing nets or even end up in the pot. Tourism can also be a problem here, i.e.
built-up coastal areas or beaches paved with sunbeds and umbrellas can disturb the turtles
very much. That's why we travelled there to observe sea turtles hatching and help protect
nature.

the nests based on the huge tracks left by the turtle mothers in the sand - this is called "nest
spotting". The sea turtles return to the beach of their birth every two years (from about the age
of 20 years) and fertilize themselves there near the coast. At night, the female goes ashore to
dig up an arm-deep nest, lay x up to 200 eggs in it, and then bury them. The eggs look like
tennis balls, with a diameter of about 4 cm and a weight of about 45g. The eggs are laid from
the end of May to the beginning of August. Until the small sea turtles hatch, approximately
45-55 days pass. The eggs in the sand are only conditionally safe because predators like foxes
and dogs can locate them very easily on the basis of the smell and then dig them out. That's
why we put grids on the nests, which we fixed with sticks. A sign is also attached to the nest so
that no one can put their parasol on it.
A total of 16 beaches are searched there. It is quite exhausting to walk along the beaches and to
wear the equipment (bars and signs). The working hours are very early, from 5 am shortly
before sunrise until about 11 am, and then again in the evening, from 5pm until 8pm. Because it
is already unbearably hot on the beach at 11 o'clock, it makes sense to cool down quickly when
you are already working at the sea. Because of the high heat during the day (up to 45°C), the
night and morning hours are exactly the times when the turtles lay their eggs on the beach.
The boys also sleep during the cooler hours. We were lucky enough to watch a turtle lay its
eggs on the beach at night. To do this, we had to move very quietly and above all slowly on the
beach, actually crawling, because the animals are very alert and feel every vibration of the
ground. If they feel disturbed, they quickly go back into the sea.
The hatching phase lasts from mid-July to mid-September. After hatching, the hatchlings are
unprotected against predators such as the fox, ghost crabs, and birds. In this phase, the
beaches are also patrolled again during the cooler times of the day and checked for small
traces of turtles leading from the nests towards the sea. Then the nests are opened and the
remaining hatchlings are taken out and released into the sea in the presence of the helpers.
For example, because of the vibrations that people make, the crabs hide and do not eat the
palm-sized turtles. Foxes and birds don't dare go to the beach when there are people nearby.
The hatched sea turtles are, depending on the type, 4 cm to 5 cm long and only 16g to 20g
heavy. It is exciting to know that the temperature (and thus the depth) at which the eggs lay
78. Monatsblatt der Deutschen Schule Taipei vom 31. August 2018 – Seite 31determines the sex: deep (to 28°C) it becomes a male, while rather closer to the surface (>31°C)
it becomes a female. At temperatures in between, both sexes can develop.
In the project, students mostly from Berlin, Turkey, or even locals from Cyprus themselves
work there on a voluntary basis, i.e. without being paid. Actually, it is the other way around,
because you pay a contribution to the organisation that organises the project and receive a
tent, a mattress, and sufficient food.
A small anecdote at the edge: From the large quantities of garbage which lie on many beaches
as well as in layers under the sand, a serious danger for the turtles exists, as they can get
tangled in it. That's why we went to one of the important beaches for a collection campaign
and collected as much garbage as possible in the garbage bags we brought along. When my
aunt went to fish a piece of black plastic out of the sea, she wasn't holding plastic in her hand,
no, but a fully functional iPhone X! We then took the collected garbage to the garbage bins and
did not, like many others, simply leave it in the parking lot, where cats and dogs were already
waiting for it. In the future, waste is to be collected in much larger campaigns outside the
turtle season. Excavators will then also be used. With a DIY garbage recycling machine, they
want to make cool things out of the garbage, like bracelets or shopping bags. We are very
convinced of importance of the work that is being done there and wholeheartedly recommend
everyone to take part in it.
These wonderful animals, like all other animals, deserve to live, so go to Northern Cyprus and
save the sea turtles from extinction!

Bevor weiter unten einzelne Familien genauer zu ihren Erfahrungen in den diesjährigen
TES-Sommerferien eingehen werden, hier ein kurzer Überblick: Insgesamt waren dieses Jahr

untergebracht. In München waren insgesamt 5 Kinder: 4 Kinder haben einen Teil der
Sommerferien in einer Grundschule verbracht und ein Mädchen hat einen Kindergarten in
München besucht. In Germering, einer Stadt im Westen von München, waren insgesamt 8
Kinder: 2 Kinder in einem Kindergarten, 2 Kinder in einer Grundschule, 1 Junge in einer
Mittelschule und 3 Kindergartenkinder hatten eine private deutschsprachige Betreuung
angeheuert.
在幾個家庭分享今年暑假遊德學習的經歷之前，請先讀取以下簡要概述：今年在德國的幼稚園或學校
遊學的本部學生總共約有20位。2名兒童分別在紐倫堡幼稚園上課，2名在科隆的幼稚園學習，還有2
名學生在雷根斯堡郊區一所學校讀書。慕尼黑則有5名學童：4位在一所小學度過暑假一部分時間，另
一個女孩在慕尼黑的幼稚園上學。慕尼黑西部的一個城市Germering共有8個本部學童：幼稚園有2名
，小學有2名，中學有1個男還，3個幼稚園小朋友則請德語保母照顧。
Here is a brief overview of the experiences of individual families during this year's TES summer
holidays: a total of about 20 children were accommodated as guest children in a kindergarten
or school in Germany. Two children each attended a kindergarten in Nuremberg, two children
in a kindergarten in Cologne, two students were accommodated in a school on the outskirts of
Regensburg. There were five children in Munich: four children spent part of the summer
holidays in a primary school and one girl attended a kindergarten in Munich. In Germering, a
city west of Munich, there were eight children: two in a kindergarten, two in a primary school,
one boy in a middle school, and three kindergarten children had hired private
German-speaking care.

It is rare that kids abroad have the opportunity to study at a local school in Germany. Thanks
to the endeavor of Deutsche Schule Taipei and Karsten, Matthew and Nathan are very lucky to
have had such an experience this summer in Ramspau.
Ramspau is a very small town in the vicinity of Regensburg. Surrounded by endless green and a
nearby riverbank, this elementary school offered a friendly environment that helped the twins
fit right into their classes on the very first day.
The Stundenplan was similar to one in TES-GS: homework was done during the plus hours at
school, so kids could really get to experience Germany after school. Since our temporary
residence for the summer was in old town Regensburg, it was most unlikely that we would
miss the festivals held on weekends in the plaza, literally next door. The twins were thrilled to
see the farmers market and enjoyed live jazz concerts. We visited the famous bridge,
cathedrals, and other sightseeing spots in Regensburg. We also drove quite a distance to visit
the Deutsches Museum in München and of course Legoland was on the Must-Do list. What
impressed us the most was actually the very ordinary walks through the cornfields and in the
nearby forest where we found all sorts of edible berries. On the last day of school, all kids were
taken to the church in Ramspau for assembly. This was also quite new for the twins.
Though the month of stay may have been brief, I do see the growth in the twins during this
short stay. They have gained much confidence in applying German in daily encounters both in
and out of school. Most importantly, they have finally experienced German as a culture and
not merely a language. Our gratitude is always with Deutsche Schule Taipei for such
meaningful arrangement.

2018年暑假Jolie慕尼黑之行感想

今年Jolie已經在德國部完成小學三年級的課程，我們一直希望能帶Jolie德國體驗當地的學校生活，因
此非常感謝Karsten Schumacher老師的安排及協助讓Jolie有機會成為慕尼黑小學的學生。到校第一
天便受到老師同學的歡迎，Jolie除了上課之外也參與學校的運動活動，老師也安排Jolie介紹台灣的風
土民情及簡單的中文教學，同學反應非常熱烈甚至希望能有機會來拜訪台灣，成功為台灣做了國民外
交。下午課後活動Jolie會和同學一起享用德國家常菜、寫作業、玩遊戲。課餘的時間Jolie也克服害羞
的個性幫助不懂德語的父母，不論是上街購物、坐車買票或是到餐廳用餐都能使用德語與對方交談。
週末我們也造訪風光明媚的海德堡、富森及慕尼黑市區著名王宮、德意志博物館、英國公園和動物園
等等。時光匆匆四週的學校生活即將結束，老師非常肯定Jolie在學校的表現，同學準備臨別小禮物寫
下滿滿的祝福送給Jolie。這次的德國之行為Jolie帶來許多不同於TES學習經驗，在生活上也留下深刻
的印象，這些都是值得珍惜的結果，期待還有機會造訪美麗的慕尼黑。

This year, Jolie has completed her third year in the primary school of the German Section. We
always hoped to bring Jolie to Germany to experience the local school life, so I am very grateful
to Karsten Schumacher for his arrangement and assistance in offering Jolie a chance to
become a student at a Munich elementary school. On the first day of school, she was
welcomed by teachers and classmates. In addition to that, Jolie also participated in school
sports activities. The teacher also encouraged Jolie to introduce Taiwan's customs and simple
Chinese characters and phrases. The classmates responded very enthusiastically and even
hoped to have the opportunity to visit Taiwan, so Jolie has successfully presented herself as a
Taiwanese diplomat. During afternoon activities, Jolie enjoyed the German national cuisine,
homework, and playing games with her classmates. After school, Jolie also overcame her
shyness and helped her non-German speaking parents out in daily life. Whether we were
shopping on the street, buying a bus or train ticket, or dining at a restaurant, she spoke
flawlessly to the citizens in German. On weekends, we also visited beautiful Heidelberg, Fussen
and the famous Royal Palace in Munich, the Deutsches Museum, the English Park and the Zoo.
In the rush of time, the school life was coming to an end. The teacher was very sure of Jolie's
performance at school. The classmates even prepared a small farewell gift and wrote a blessing
card to Jolie. This time, on the trip to Germany, Jolie gained a lot of worthy experience quite
different from TES, and she was also impressed by life in Germany. These are the results we
cherish. I look forward to another opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Munich.

感謝老師Karsten的安排, 今年在暑假一開始, Paula就到紐倫堡就讀四週幼稚園, 除了加強德文對話能
力外, 也讓小孩體驗德國當地生活。這不是第一次Paula跟我們一起比較長時間的體驗國外生活, 可是
這倒是第一次, Paula體驗無中文環境學習。今年夏天Paula念的學校是Kunterbunt幼稚園位在紐倫堡
的Kita Kiku Stadtpiraten。

先談談這次小孩遊學"不訝異"的部分。小孩每天早上八點到下午四點到學校, 玩的全身髒兮兮但非常開
心, 老師有耐心有愛心, 學校提供早午餐及點心, 並且多為有機食品, 這些都在我們的預期當中. 而小孩
學校生活讓我們比較訝異的, 是學生組成的國際化. 在這所幼稚園就讀的約廿位小朋友中, 可以看得出
超過六成為非德裔, 包含中東裔, 非裔, 希臘裔, 以及亞裔等, 而在暑期班結束Summer Fest活動時, 也
可以聽到父母們說的不同語言, 可是小朋友們都說著德文, 這跟台北歐洲學校德語部, 倒是有許多類似
的感覺。
除了在紐倫堡的四周外, 我們另外又多留了兩周的時間在德國旅遊, 而這些時間, 充滿培養小孩自信心
的機會. 不管在餐廳點菜, 到書店買開學文具用品, 到超市購物, 或是到觀光景點, 不光是點菜或是詢問
店員, 甚至於買單我們都在讓小孩可以盡量自己來, 不斷鼓勵她, 讓她知道她可以辦到。
相信許多德語部非德裔的父母, 在未來也許會考慮帶小朋友到德國短期遊學, 有些父母喜歡大城市的便
利與熱鬧, 有些父母希望到純樸的鄉下或古鎮。在這裡來分享一下我們這次選擇紐倫堡的一些原因。
相較於慕尼黑或法蘭克福等大城市, 紐倫堡算是一個中型非觀光城市。紐倫堡距離法蘭克福不遠, 慕尼
黑也算近, 甚至如果想要去布拉格, 坐車也沒幾個小時。紐倫堡的生活步調比較慢一點, 交通軌道也沒
有那麼複雜, 房租生活費相較於大城市來說低一些, 路上沒有甚麼遊民, 也沒有太多的超跑呼嘯而過, 可
是紐倫堡不會無聊, 不管是大教堂, 城堡古蹟, 藝術文化宗教遺跡, 購物大街, 百貨超市, 該有都有。這裡
有火車博物館, 也有玩具博物館, 還有德國最老的書店。吃膩了德國香腸Pretzel麵包與馬鈴薯沙拉, 紐
倫堡也有許多異國風情料理以及亞洲商店。Rimowa當然到處買的到, 可是轉角的骨董店, 或是販賣傳
統Bayern服飾店家, 裡面有更多的驚喜, 敞開心胸, 你也許可以從租屋的房東那聽到不一樣的城市背景,
你也可以認識其他國家同樣來自異鄉的父母。

Thanks to the arrangement of teacher Karsten, this year, at the beginning of the summer
vacation, Paula went to Nuremberg to study in a local kindergarten. In addition to
strengthening her German dialogue ability, she could also experience local German life. This is
not the first time Paula has been living abroad with us for a long time, but it is the first time
that Paula learned and grew in a non-Chinese environment. The school that Paula visited this
summer was Kita Kiku Stadtpiraten in Kunterbunt Kindergarten in Nuremberg.

Let's talk about the part of the children's study tour that was "not a surprise" for us. The
children went to school every day from 8 am to 4 pm. Their whole bodies got dirty but they felt
very happy. Their teachers had patience and love. The school provided brunch and snacks
(mostly organic food) which was as we expected. What made us surprised at the children's
school life was the variety of the students. Among the about 20 children in this kindergarten,
you could see that more than sixty percent were non-German kids, including
African-Americans and Greeks and kids from the Middle East, as well as Asians, and when the
summer class ended with a Summer Fest, you could also hear the different languages spoken
by the parents, while the children were speaking in German, which aroused many similar
feelings with school life in the German Section in Taipei European School.

Germany, and these times were full of opportunities to cultivate the children's self-confidence.
Whether ordering in a restaurant, going to the bookstore to buy stationery, shopping in the
supermarket, or not just ordering food but also asking the staff to pay the bill, we let our
children try to accomplish tasks by themselves, and encouraged them to let them know that
they are able to overcome challenges.
I believe that many non-German parents of German-speaking children may consider taking
them to Germany for short-term study in the future. Some parents like the convenience and
excitement of big cities. Some parents want to go to a simple country village or ancient town.
Here are some of the reasons we chose Nuremberg this time. Compared to big cities such as
Munich or Frankfurt, Nuremberg is a medium-sized city with few tourists. Nuremberg is not
far from Frankfurt and Munich is close. Even if you want to go to Prague, it takes only a few
hours by car. The pace of life in Nuremberg is slower, the streets are not so complicated, and
the living expenses for rent are lower than those in big cities. There are only a few homeless
people on the street, and there are not many whistling sports cars. However, Nuremberg is not
boring, even if it just has a cathedral, a castle monument, an art and cultural relic, a shopping
street, and a department store. There are train museums, toy museums, and the oldest
bookstores in Germany. Besides German sausage, soft pretzels, and potato salad, Nuremberg
also has many exotic dishes and Asian shops. Rimowa is, of course, purchasable everywhere. In
the corner store, or the traditional Bayern clothing store, there are more surprises. With an
open heart, you may be able to hear a different backstory to the city from the landlord of the
rented house. You can also meet other parents who are also from a foreign land.

Ich bereitete meine Sachen. Wir fuhren mit dem Auto nach Taoyuan International Airport. Wir
flogen erst mit dem Flugzeug nach Dubai. Und dann flogen wir von Dubai nach Deutschland.
Es ist eine ziemlich lange Reise. Ich bin total müde. Wenn wir da sind, gingen wir erst ein Auto
mieten.Danach fuhren wir los zu unserem Hotel. Ich bereitete meine Sachen für Morgen.Mein
erster Austausch-Schultag in der Kerschensteiner Schule. Es heißt so, weil es in der
Kerschensteiner Straße ist. Die Schule ist in Germering. Germering ist in in Bayern und ist
links neben München. Die Stadt ist ziemlich cool.Sonnenuntergang ist um ca.21.00 uhr, also
kann ich mit Sonnenschein meine Aufgaben zu machen, und mehr Sachen draußen machen. In
Deutschland gibt es fast keine Straßenlampen entweder Tag oder Nachts!! Es gibt ein Freibad.
Meine Mitschüler sagen, dass ich hingehen muss, weil es sehr spaß macht. Ein Fußballstadion
und noch ein Golfplatz. Germering ist eine kleine Stadt die eine angemessene Einwohnerzahl
hat. Die Stadt ist altmodisch. Die Häuser dort sind nur 2 bis 3 Stöcke. Aber die Schule ist neu.
Es sieht sehr neumodisch aus.
